HeyCafé was founded in Shanghai in 2006, becoming the first company in China to design and manufacture coffee grinders. Their journey began in 2007 with the launch of the HC-600, their inaugural espresso grinder — a product that set the tone for everything that followed. To keep pace with growing demand, HeyCafé expanded production and relocated from Shanghai to Changzhou in 2011. In 2016, HeyCafé joined the Hemro Group — the conglomerate behind Mahlkönig and Baratza — and by 2018 had become a wholly owned subsidiary, gaining access to world-class engineering resources while preserving their identity and core mission.
