Mazzer is a family-owned company with deep roots in Italian craftsmanship, just outside Venice. It all started between the two World Wars as a precision mechanics workshop, founded by Luigi Mazzer. But in 1948, Luigi decided to take his skills in a new direction—designing top-tier coffee grinders and burrs. And that’s when the Mazzer brand, as we know it today, was born.

The company grew steadily, but things really took off in 1988 when Luigi’s son, Giovanni Mazzer, stepped in. Under his leadership, Mazzer expanded internationally and doubled down on research and innovation. Fast forward to 2023, and the next generation has arrived—Luigi’s grandson, also named Luigi, is now carrying the family tradition forward, ensuring Mazzer stays at the forefront of coffee grinding technology.
