Coffeeionado Attends World of Coffee Asia Bangkok 2026

BANGKOK, Thailand, May 27, 2026 — Bangkok has long had a deep-rooted coffee culture — and for three days in May, it was also the beating heart of the global specialty coffee industry.

Coffeeionado was on the ground at World of Coffee Asia Bangkok (May 7–9), the third edition of the SCA's Asia-based event and one of the most exciting stops in the global coffee calendar. As a proud member of the Specialty Coffee Association, being part of this community — wherever it gathers — is something we take seriously.

The show floor was alive with energy. We spent our time connecting with vendors, strengthening supplier relationships, and doing what we love most: learning. And nowhere was that more apparent than at the Roaster's Village, where we had our first-ever encounter with Liberica coffee.

For those unfamiliar, Liberica is one of the rarest coffee species in the world — a bold, distinctive cup with a character entirely its own. Getting to taste it for the first time in Bangkok, surrounded by the roasters and producers who champion it, was one of those moments that reminds you just how much this industry still has to offer.

We came back inspired, with new connections and a renewed appreciation for the extraordinary range of what coffee can be.
