Terms of Sale

Applies To All Purchases from Coffeeionado.

Please select your items carefully as we are unable to add to or modify your order. All orders are subject to a cancellation fee (see Shipping Policy). All damages, defects, and missing items must be reported within five business days of delivery receipt. Shipments may be redirected but with a fee (see Shipping Policy).

We require signature at delivery for all major purchases over $199.00 everywhere, please make arrangements with the shipping carrier if you cannot receive your item. All items, including those tested by the manufacturer, are sold as-is described in the line item and are considered new, backed by a Product Guarantee, unless otherwise explicitly indicated. We have outlined some of the limitations and procedures for the Comprehensive Terms Section.

1. Customer Claims. All claims by customer for 'not as described', 'defective merchandise', "not fit for intended use', 'no longer fit for intended use', and 'incorrect merchandise received' must be made in writing within five business days of receipt of merchandise. A lack of a claim for 'not as described', 'defective merchandise', "not fit for intended use', 'no longer fit for intended use', and 'incorrect merchandise received' will suffice as customer's approval that the merchandise is 'as described', 'is not defective', 'is fit for intended use' and is the correct merchandise received. Any aforementioned customer's claim will only be limited to:

  • ad copy only on Coffeeionado's internet pages and print advertisements,
  • will not include phone/email conversations with or by sales staff, and
  • will not include claims or advertisements made by manufacturers or competitive companies' advertisements, literature, or verbal claims.


Customer will not hold Coffeeionado liable to changes in product features made by the manufacturer. Coffeeionado makes every effort to provide accurate detailed information. By agreeing to this, the customer understands that detailed specifications of products are subject to change without notice and may slightly differ (cosmetically and internally than described) when the product delivers, but the general purpose of the product remains the same.

For all claims made for shipments that were delivered by a common carrier not requiring a signature, the customer is responsible for filing a local police report and providing it to Coffeeionado and the carrier prior to re-shipment of an order or refund. Any refund or re-shipment may be subject to the tariff and procedures of the carrier, which can cause delays up to 14 business days.

2. Sales Tax. Coffeeionado is required by Florida law to collect and charge a 6% sales tax for state residents of Florida, plus up to 1.5% surcharge, according to the county you live in.

Coffeeionado will also charge taxes in states that we have a nexus or that do not allow for an exemption. All taxes and brokerage fees related to the importation of goods into a country outside the USA are the responsibility of the customer.

3. Shipping. Unless requested by customer, all orders shipped on pallets are to a customer's curbside only, do not include inside delivery or delivery on personal property. Orders shipped via UPS and FedEx include delivery to the customer's external door. Depending on package size, orders shipped via USPS are to a customer's mailbox or door.

4. Shipping and Handling Fees. Shipping fees (including shipping costs to provide "free shipping" or "shipping included in the purchase price" of the merchandise) to and from your location are the responsibility of the customer, and handling fees are considered as non-refundable and are deducted from the return credit after any restocking, processing, cleaning or administrative fees. Handling fees are considered our costs to internally process an order or return. Refusal of a delivery or purchases returned due to a carrier unable to make a delivery will subject the customer's return credit to a reduction of the restocking fees and shipping fees to and from customer's location.

In cases where free shipping is provided for orders over a specified dollar amount and the the order, or part of, is returned that will bring the total order value under the specified dollar amount, then the return credit amount will be reduced by shipping and handling fee of the item(s).

5. Returns After 30 Days of Customer Delivery Receipt. Eligible returns and refunds will not be processed for returns that arrive at our return center after 30 days of customer delivery receipt.

6. Cancellations. Our Cancellation Policy applies for all orders. Any order that has not been processed, nor shipped, is subject to a cancellation fee of 3%. This charge is to cover non-refundable credit card fees we must pay and general order processing fees. A request to cancel an order that has shipped is handled as a return and is the full responsibility of the customer to initiate the Return Process. Generally, the return is processed within 14 days of return receipt at the the manufacturer or Coffeeionado.

7. Returns Without a Return Merchandise Authorization Number. All eligible returns without a Return Merchandise Authorization number (referred to as, RMA) may be declined any credit and will be subject to a non-refundable restocking fee up to 10% of the purchase price plus the deduction of the non-refundable shipping and handling fees.

The issuance of a RMA is not a guarantee of refund. Acceptance of a return without a RMA number is not a guarantee of a refund, and a refund can be denied.

8. Products.

  • Grinders: All coffee grinders are intended to grind unflavored whole coffee beans only. This includes “built in” grinders found in super-automatic espresso machines. The use of any grinder for flavored coffee beans, other food products, or regrinding the grinds will render the coffee grinder (if applicable, espresso machine) as a non-refundable, non-returnable final sale. If a grinder product is returned with evidence of flavored coffee or other food products, the customer assumes responsibility of all costs to receive back the grinder. Otherwise, in 30 days, the grinder will be considered abandoned.
  • Colors: Coffeeionado cannot guarantee the accuracy of the color displayed on your monitor.
  • Images: Coffeeionado strives to provide the most accurate images of our products as possible. Despite best efforts, some product images prove difficult or impossible to obtain. Generally we will use the closest representative image we can find for the product.
  • Quantity: Products are sold individually unless otherwise noted.
  • Measurements: All measurements are approximate, including but not limited to weights, dimensions, volumes. Please note that measurements provided by, or converted from, the manufacturer, can be approximated by Coffeeionado. Generally measurements are made at the base of the unit, this normally does not include an extensions from groupheads, steam or water wands, etc. Manufacturers will make modifications without notifications. Please also note, volumetric measurements may be different. Coffeeionado makes the best attempt to provide updated modifications and measurements, Coffeeionado will not be responsible for any errors or unnotified modifications in measurements, and customer agrees to hold Coffeeionado harmless of all liabilities regarding same.


9. Coupons and Promotional Items. All discounts and coupons applied on any order are applied to all eligible returns and refunds. Any use of a coupon/discount at checkout will void the "bonus package" that comes with the product.

10. Repair Services. Coffeeionado does not perform repair services, these may only be performed by the manufacturer or manufacturer's preferred service provider. Any attempt to repair the item(s) outside these guidelines will void the warranty. There are no returns or refunds for repair services (see Warranty Policy).

11. Holiday Returns. Must mention "Gift" in "Note" section before submitting the order. For applicable items only. All items must be returned in LIKE NEW condition with all original packaging and cartons shipped in. All other terms and conditions of sale apply. Online orders only between November 14th - December 17th of the current year.  RMA number required and shipment must be received by us or our agent by January 14 of the following year.

12. Special Ordered Items. An order for special ordered item(s) submitted and completed through Coffeeionado or Business Solutions may be charged up to a 50% cancellation fee (if not shipped) or a 50% restocking fee (if shipped) plus all shipping and handling fees. Refusal of delivery of special ordered items will subject the order to a credit less a 50% restocking fee and then less all freight charges and fees (to and from shipping location). These fees are still imposed including situations of delivery delays out of the control of Coffeeionado.

Commercial items items that are partially paid for or contain optional upgraded parts and/or finishes are considered "special order" as well.

13. Voided Warranty and Exclusions. During the warranty period certain circumstances can cause a void in the warranty and certain events are excluded from the warranty period. Warranty begins as soon as the item leaves the warehouse. The circumstances include, but are not limited to:

  • Commercial use of a product intended for home use.
  • Issues relating to water damage, poor water quality, and scaling.
  • Failure to follow the manufacturers’ recommended maintenance schedule and adhering to maintenance procedures.
  • Failure of normal wear and tear items (ex. group gaskets, wear seals, shower screens, etc.).
  • Modifying the product.
  • Use of the product for any purpose other than those stated by the manufacturer.
  • Transporting the product from the region of intended use (Item's are not intended for travel nor for export outside the United States).
  • User mishandling, erroneous actions and/or negligence (including but not limited to: improper reassembly of parts, improper storage, improper installation, etc.).
  • External events that damage item.
  • Non-authorized labor.
  • Occurrence of damage during transit or handling.
  • Not using original manufacturer's parts.
  • Preventable clogs in grinders or dosers.
  • Cosmetic defects.
  • Acts of god: fire, flood, lightening, etc.
  • Usage of parts not authorized by manufacturer.
  • Damage incurred to items as a result of any of the above circumstances.

14. Availability. A product listed on the site is not an affirmation of available stock. Stock checks are done periodically and may not reflect current stock levels. Please contact us for stock availability.

15. Refunds. Once a product has been accepted in good condition and in original box, a credit will be provided to the card used. The credit will be issued minus the shipping to and from the customer.

 
Standard Terms


Applies to Items That Are Not Used in a Commercial Environment


1. Limitations. Eligible merchandise, within the entire scope of the Standard Terms and Condition of Sale, can be returned for refund less any shipping and handling fees within 30 days of customer's receipt of delivery. Backed by our 100% Customer Satisfaction Policy, if you are dissatisfied for any reason regarding your purchase, we will gladly accept "Like-New equipment noted for home use" and "unused accessory returns" within 30 calendar days of customer delivery receipt. All returns are subject to first a general restocking fee of $20.00 and may be subject to cleaning fees. All item(s) must be returned in original box and manufacturer’s packaging and the UPC/bar code must not be damaged, less the item(s) may not qualify.

2. Accessories/Other. Used accessories, all cleaning agents, water softeners, any modified or customized equipment (i.e. PID installed, pluming adaption, etc), replacement parts, coffee roasters, cups, books, Compact Discs (CD's), DVDs, instructional manuals or videos, diagnostic services, and stovetop moka pots are non-returnable and are non-refundable purchases.

3. Defining 'Like New' Condition. When returning a machine to Coffeeionado, please make sure that it will arrive to us in 'Like New' condition, which we define as the following:

  • All Original Components Intact - You must return every original component of the equipment, such as the original packaging, original internal parts, drip tray, portafilter, brew head (if removable), filter screens, filter baskets, user manuals, tampers, CD's, scoops, etc. Loose items must be secured to avoid movement in shipping for which the movement can cause damage while in transport back to us.
  • Serial Numbers - Serial numbers must match, and the serial number sticker can not be tampered with or removed in any way. Any evidence of tampering will automatically null and void all return and refund privileges.
  • No Scratches, Dents or Stains - The machine and all components must be free of any surface marring.
  • Thoroughly Cleaned - The machine, all parts and components must be absolutely clean and free of any coffee grounds, water and/or milk residues.

    Equipment that is not received in this condition will be assessed for damage and may be subject to any applicable refurbishment fees. Any equipment that is damaged or unclean is subject to a “cleaning” charge based on extensiveness. Any equipment returns that can not be refurbished due to significant damage assessed solely by Coffeeionado will void all return and refund privileges.

    4. Damages In Transit. Please inspect your package when you receive it from the shipping company. All claims for damages and shortages must be made within 5 business days of receipt of merchandise as per carriers’ terms, damages must be reported within the first five days.

    • Box Damage - If you notice any apparent damages to the outer carton (i.e. gashes in the box, box severely crushed, internal packaging leaking peanuts, or creased corners), please alert the driver/carrier and make a damage notation with your signature.
    • Concealed Damages (UPS, FedEx, and USPS only) - If you notice any concealed damages from shipping, please notify Coffeeionado and the carrier within 5 business days of delivery receipt.
    • Packaging - Failure to keep and return all packaging will null and void all applicable return, exchange, and refund privileges. Make sure that you keep all packaging (boxes, shipping labels, peanuts, packaging) as the respective inspectors of UPS. FedEx, or USPS will need to inspect the package.
    • Do NOT use the item(s) If your equipment order has arrived with visible damage. Once used, the carrier, as well as the customer, will deem the shipment as "accepted and acceptable" or "used", and the carrier will not issue a claim nor pay for any damages. If there is no visible damage to an espresso machine, please check the operation of the machine with water only to inspect for internal damages which would show water leakage. If there is water leakage, please notify Coffeeionado within 5 business days and please unplug equipment. If there is no physical damage to a coffee grinder, please turn it on without coffee to inspect for any strange noises. We can not issue a replacement, exchange or refund unless a claim number is issued. Your use of purchased item(s) damaged in transit or failure to keep all packaging for the carrier's inspection will null and void our, if applicable, return, exchange, and refund privileges.
    • Please use our contact page to notify that your machine, grinder, or shipment was damaged, we will gladly ship a replacement of the same item only or replacement part when a claim number is issued by UPS, FedEx, or USPS AND after the damaged unit has been returned to us in the original carton shipped. Replacements or refunds will not be issued if the damaged order is shipped back in a carton different than what we shipped to a customer as UPS, FedEx, and USPS will only investigate claims that have the original shipping carton included. In cases where damage has occurred to parts that can be replaced (including, but not limited to removable water reservoir, bean hopper, dump box), Coffeeionado reserves the right to send only those replacement parts that were damaged in transit. If customer is not satisfied with merchandise or resolution provided by Coffeeionado, refuses an exchange or replacement part determined by Coffeeionado, and/or requests a refund, customer is responsible for restocking fees and shipping costs "to" and "from" customer's location (this includes deducting shipping costs from purchases that included free shipping).
    • Please note that domestic claim numbers for USPS can take up to 6 months and for UPS/FedEx can take up to 15 days. Our policy does not apply for customers or their agents who re-ship our packages outside the United States.

      5. Return, Exchange and Shipping Process. A full refund less any restocking fee, refurbishment, cleaning, shipping and/or handling fees will be issued upon satisfactory return as noted:
      • Return Merchandise Authorization Number Required Prior to Return - All eligible returns require a RMA number issued by a Customer Support team member of Coffeeionado via our contact page. In the e-mail, please state the item(s) to be returned, the reason for your return, and your invoice/order number. RMA numbers will not be issued via our telephone line. A representative will reply via e-mail with a return authorization pdf form which will provide general return instructions. The RMA# expires at 15 calendar days after it was provided. Once an eligible return is received by Coffeeionado, it can take up to 30 days to process your credit. If making an exchange, please notify Coffeeionado before returning as exchanges are expedited.
      • Return Packing - A copy of your RMA pdf form must be enclosed with the return, and the return authorization number must be visible and a part of the outer box's shipping label ONLY. You can use the specified cutout of the return authorization pdf form as a shipping label. This label is NOT a prepaid UPS nor USPS label. Do not make any markings on the returned item's packaging. Only use clear tape to seal manufacturer's boxes. Use only white masking or blue painter's tape to secure any items that may move around to cause damage during transport. It is the customer's responsibility to make sure there are no loose parts as damage from those loose parts will be charged against the credit.
      • Return Date Limitation - The return must be received by Coffeeionado or manufacturer’s warehouse within 30 calendar days of your receipt of your shipment. Please make sure your returned equipment is free of water as damaged equipment due to freezing will be assessed repair charges against, or complete denial of, your credit.
      • Shipping Recommendations - It is recommended that the return package is shipped via UPS, FedEx, USPS or other traceable carrier and fully insured for the purchase price. Coffeeionado is not responsible and will not accept liability for return shipments lost in transit, damages in transit, or improper packaging. Credit will not be issued for returns lost in transit and returns or part of returns, including free merchandise, damaged in transit. "Free" items returned damaged would be deducted from the credit at the current selling price of the item (even if the charge is not listed on the invoice). Please keep a copy of the carrier receipt and/or tracking number for your protection and follow-up with the carrier.
      • Requirements - Make sure you keep all original packaging for the return. The returned item(s) and packaging must be "clean" and "free of water and coffee" before shipping. To cover our costs for acquiring from overseas suppliers, there will be "up to" a 30% restocking charge based on our costs, at Coffeeionado's discretion, if all packaging and parts are not returned "clean of water and coffee" and in "very good and original" condition (including, but not limited to instruction booklets, original boxing, accessories, videos, included free starter kits, and parts). Your return must also be packaged with an outer carton similar to the one shipped to you. Lack of an outer shipping carton will automatically result in a 30% restocking fee deducted from the credit. If you need assistance packing the unit, please contact our Customer Service team. Any damages in the return that result from improper packing or not securing loose items as when shipped to you will be assessed at full retail replacement value and deducted from any available credit, up to and including the full amount.
      • Your account will be credited (minus shipping) within 30 days  from the time Coffeeionado receives your return. If there is a serial number on your sales invoice, it must match the serial number on the return. Equipment with serial numbers not matching the invoice will not be accepted as an authorized return nor will the purchase be refunded.

         

        6. Defective Equipment and General WarrantyThe Coffeeionado Warranty Policy only covers orders and shipments within the boundaries of the contiguous United States. This policy does not cover international orders, APO/FPO shipments, shipments made within the contiguous United States and brought/shipped outside the United States by the customer or by agents, or shipments made outside the contiguous United States. Shipments damaged in transit are not covered by the Warranty Policy, nor does it cover any labor costs assumed by the customer.

        • Household or home classified equipment which arrive defective or become defective due to manufacturer's defect within 5 calendar days of the invoice date will either be replaced or a replacement part will be shipped UPS Ground or USPS by either Coffeeionado or the manufacturer at the sole discretion of Coffeeionado or the manufacturer.
        • Customer is responsible for all shipping charges if the replacement remedy presented by Coffeeionado or the manufacturer is not desired by the customer. If an item is returned and not found to be defective, all charges and fees, subject to this agreement, will be deducted from the credit owed to the customer. The determination of the defect can only be determined by Coffeeionado with or without support of the manufacturer. The determination of the replacement depends upon the extent and magnitude of the defect. All defects on household equipment occurring after 5 calendar days of the invoice date will be covered under the respective warranty of the manufacturer or representative thereof.
        • This policy does not cover defects caused by user error or negligence, including, but not limited to, not reading the owner's manual or instructions included with the purchased item(s). Items under our commercial terms and conditions of sale are not covered by this policy and are covered by the respective manufacturer's warranty or installer. Adjustments are not considered defects. When within the respectable range set forth by the manufacturer or Coffeeionado, temperature and/or adjustments (foot height, pump pressure, etc) on espresso machines are not considered defects.
        • Any applicable warranty coverage is only in effect for merchandise that is utilized within the boundaries of the contiguous United States. Warranty coverage does NOT include any of the following: return shipping to repair facility, on-site service, in home visits, or travel costs.
        • Customers outside the contiguous United States requesting warranty coverage are responsible for all shipping costs to and from the customer's location for the entire warranty period and for shipping costs of any part(s) replacement.
        • Damages and defects are limited to replacement or repair within first five days after receipt/delivery of equipment at sole discretion of Coffeeionado. After 5 days, warranty coverage limited to manufacturer's defect becomes effective. Other causes of defects (limescale from water, electrical surges, improper use, 'Acts of God", etc) solely determined by Coffeeionado are not covered under warranty.
        • Returns are not accepted for machines with mechanical issues. Coffeeionado reserves the right to fix the machine before sending a replacement and this may take a couple of days.


        Commercial Terms

        Applies To Items That Have Safety Listings and/or Certifications

        We want you to be fully satisfied when shopping at Coffeeionado. If you are not satisfied with your purchase or should you have a question about warranties and procedures please look over the following policies and procedures.

         

        1. Returns: Commercial Equipment for Commercial Use. All commercial machine sales are FINALSome items in our household categories may be considered semi-commercial or commercial equipment. This semi-commercial and commercial category includes all commercial grade grinders, all direct water connect capable espresso machines and coffee brewers. These items come with commercial terms and the following sections override general and standard terms. 

        • Requests for returns of commercial equipment are limited to the first 5 business days of delivery date. After 5 business days of delivery receipt, commercial equipment purchases are considered as-is final sale, non-returnable, and non-refundable purchases. Commercial items are required to be returned in new, un-used, and un-opened original packaging with all accessories as received within 5 calendar days of customer's delivery receipt. Customer is  responsible for actual shipping costs both ways and via same shipping company as utilized for shipping to customer. Restocking fees from a minimum of 20% (to cover order processing and return processing costs) and up to 50% (to cover any costs associated to refurbish the return to certified resale condition) may apply at the sole discretion of Coffeeionado. If the cost to refurbish exceeds 50% of the purchase price of the item, a refund will be denied and the customer will be responsible for return shipping costs or disposal costs. All return credits will be subject to shipping and handling, restocking, restocking, refurbishment and processing fees.
        • Sale price is for equipment only. Installation (including electrical or plumbing costs), training costs, and/or onsite labor warranty is responsibility of customer or customer's installer, unless otherwise indicated separately on invoice. All manufacturer's defects are covered under applicable warranty by manufacturer or manufacturer's service provider.
        • Final sales also include special pre-ordered machines whether paid in full or partially. Once ordered from the factory we cannot change or cancel the order.

        2. Installation. The installation package offered by Coffeeionado is for the purpose of commercial espresso machines and does not include any construction service (including but not limited to electrical wiring, water and drain plumbing, drilling countertops, the installation of other equipment, etc.).

        PLEASE NOTE - This equipment is for professional use only and must be installed in locations where its use and maintenance is restricted to trained personnel. While the equipment is easy to use after install, it must be installed by a factory-certified technician with proper water filtration to validate the warranty.

        Depending on location, additional travel costs may be required for shops outside of major metro areas. If area is not set up for the installation, additional work time and travel costs may accrue and be the responsibility of the customer.

        When purchasing commercial equipment that requires professional installation, all manufacturers’ recommendations for proper installation must be followed. The product warranty will be void in the occurrence that the manufacturer’s guidelines are not followed. Please refer to the installation section of your machine for the specifics of what you must have ready. Always consult with your plumber or contractor, as well as your code enforcement officer, to ensure the installation process goes smoothly.

        Water filtration must be installed to validate warranty on any commercial machine. Use of machine without proper filtration will void the warranty.

        In the event that installation is not covered in the purchase of an item, the customer will be responsible for paying for the factory-authorized installer. If the installer arrives at the location of installation and the customer is not prepared, the customer may incur extra charges including but not limited to hourly rates for travel time and additional work needed.

          3. Return and/or Exchange Process. In the event that a product has been damaged and needs to be shipped back, a full refund less any restocking, refurbishment, shipping and handling fees will be issued upon satisfactory return as noted:

          • Shipping Recommendations - The customer's return MUST be shipped the same exact way the customer received it. If the item was shipped on a pallet, it must be returned on a pallet. *NOTE: If the item is returned via a general parcel carrier and it arrived on a pallet, it will undoubtedly arrive damaged and any insurance claim will be denied. It is advised to keep carrier receipt and/or tracking number for your protection and follow-up with the carrier.
          • Requirements - Make sure you keep all original packaging for the return. The returned item(s) and packaging must be "clean" and "free of water and coffee" before shipping. To cover our costs for acquiring from overseas suppliers, there will be "up to" a 30% restocking charge based on our costs, at Coffeeionado's discretion, if all packaging and parts are not returned "clean of water and coffee" and in "very good and original" condition (including, but not limited to instruction booklets, original boxing, accessories, videos, included free starter kits, and parts). Your return must also be packaged with an outer carton similar to the one shipped to you.
          • As a customer, you are responsible for shipping the item(s) in a secured package and double boxed. Items must be secured from movement to prevent any damage. Any attempt to ship differently will be determined to be neglect and any damage will be the responsibility of the customer.
          • Lack of an outer shipping carton will automatically result in a 30% restocking fee deducted from the credit. If you need assistance packing the unit, please contact our Customer Service team. Any damages in the return that result from improper packing or not securing loose items as when shipped to you will be assessed at full retail replacement value and deducted from any available credit, up to and including the full amount.
          • Your account will be credited within 30 days from the time Coffeeionado receives your return. If there is a serial number on your sales invoice, it must match the serial number on the return. Equipment with serial numbers not matching the invoice will not be accepted as an authorized return nor will the purchase be refunded.

          4. Pallet Shipment Damage In Transit. Sometimes you will notice that the box has been opened, we do this to inspect the equipment as well as add packaging material for a safe shipping.

          • IMPORTANT! Beware of concealed damages. It is crucial to inspect the shipment BEFORE signing for the delivery. Whenever a freight company delivers your order on a pallet, it is your responsibility to open the carton(s) and inspect the shipment PRIOR to signing the Delivery Receipt or Bill of Lading. The driver can not leave until you have signed the Delivery Receipt. Once the Delivery Receipt is signed, you have indicated to the freight company and Coffeeionado that the merchandise was delivered in good working condition. There is no recourse for damage recovery once the Delivery Receipt was signed for by you or on your behalf.
          • When damage is noticed on palletized shipments, it MUST be noted on the Delivery Receipt. Verbal communication is not valid and will only nullify a claim. Make the note on the Delivery Receipt when receiving the shipment, this is the only proof of damage and failure to note it on the Delivery Receipt will forfeit the right to make an insurance claim and for repair and replacement parts. Not noting damage shows compliance that the shipment was delivered damage free and there is no recourse from this.
          • In addition, Coffeeionado must be notified in writing of the damages within 5 business days of customer's Delivery Receipt. Please also send pictures so we can determine severity of damage.
          5. Damage In Transit. Please inspect your package when you receive it from the freight carrier. All claims for damages and shortages must be made within 5 business days of receipt of merchandise as per carriers’ terms, damages must be reported within the first five days.
          • Box Damage - If you notice any apparent damages to the outer carton (i.e. gashes in the box, box severely crushed, internal packaging leaking peanuts, or creased corners), please alert the driver/carrier and make a damage notation with your signature.
          • Concealed Damages (UPS, DHL, FedEx, and USPS only) - If you notice any concealed damages from shipping, please notify Coffeeionado and the carrier within 5 business days of Delivery Receipt.
          • Packaging - Failure to keep and return all packaging will void all applicable returns, exchanges, and refunds. Make sure that you keep all packaging (boxes, shipping labels, peanuts, packaging) as the respective inspectors of UPS, DHL, FedEx, or USPS will need to inspect the packaged contents.
          • Do NOT use the item(s) If your equipment order has arrived with visible damage. Once used, the carrier, as well as the customer, will deem the shipment as "accepted and acceptable" or "used", and the carrier will not issue a claim nor pay for any damages. If there is no visible damage to an espresso machine, please check the operation of the machine with water only to inspect for internal damages which would show water leakage. If there is water leakage, please notify Coffeeionado within 5 business days and please unplug equipment. If there is no physical damage to a coffee grinder, please turn it on without coffee to inspect for any strange noises. We can not issue a replacement, exchange or refund unless a claim number is issued. Your use of purchased item(s) damaged in transit or failure to keep all packaging for the carrier's inspection will null and void our, if applicable, return, exchange, and refund privileges.
          • Please use our contact page to notify that your machine, grinder, or other articles incurred damage during transit, we will gladly work on getting a replacement of the same item or replacement part when a claim number is issued by UPS, DHL, FedEx, or USPS AND after the damaged unit has been returned in the original carton shipped. Replacements or refunds will not be issued if the damaged order is shipped back in a carton different than what it was originally shipped to a customer as UPS, DHL, FedEx, and USPS will only investigate claims that have the original shipping carton included. In cases where damage has occurred to parts that can be replaced (including, but not limited to removable water reservoir, bean hopper, dump box), Coffeeionado reserves the right to send only those replacement parts that were damaged in transit. If customer is not satisfied with merchandise or resolution provided by Coffeeionado, refuses an exchange or replacement part determined by Coffeeionado, and/or requests a refund, customer is responsible for restocking fees and shipping costs "to" and "from" customer's location (this includes deducting shipping costs from purchases that included free shipping).
          • Please note that domestic claim numbers for USPS can take up to 6 months and for UPS/FedEx can take up to 15 days. Our policy does not apply for customers or their agents who re-ship our packages outside the United States.
          • Any item damaged during transit will primarily be resolved via replacement if another item is available. A request for e
          • You, as a customer, are responsible for the machinery ordered if an item is damaged and must be inspected. This can take up to 2 weeks and more in some cases for the shipping company to inspect the item. It will be the customer's responsibility to keep the machine on-site until such inspection can be performed.


          6. Defective Equipment and General Warranty - Damages and defects are limited to replacement or repair within first five days after receipt/delivery of equipment at sole discretion of Coffeeionado. After 5 days, warranty coverage limited to manufacturer's defect becomes effective. Other causes of defects (limescale from water, electrical surges, improper use, 'Acts of God", etc) solely determined by Coffeeionado are not covered under warranty.


          7. Item(s) Purchased Without Labor Warranty - After first five days after receipt and where no labor warranty is specified in the order, customer is responsible for labor costs for on-site repair or for all shipping costs and insurance to ship unit back and forth for warranty repair. Repair Authorization Numbers are required for any returns for repair. Customer's should contact our customer service department via our please use our contact page for requests for local repair companies. Please note that we do not guarantee the work performed by third party companies.


          8. Item(s) Purchased With Labor Warranty - After first five days after receipt and where a labor warranty is included in the order, customer is responsible for all shipping costs and insurance to ship unit back and forth for warranty repair. Repair Authorization Numbers are required for any returns for repair.

          Once a payment term has been selected and signed (agreed upon), Coffeeionado will work to have the item shipped after the initial payment of deposit.

          Once an order has shipped and received by the customer, we consider the sale final. This applies to home and commercial items. 

          Damages and Warranty Claims:

          1. If any damages occur to items during the payment process within warranty period, Coffeeionado will work to either replace the parts (depending on warranty) or replace the item.

          2. Should any item require being shipped back to manufacturer please see shipping guidelines in terms listed above. It is the responsibility of the customer to properly ship the item back to avoid damages.
