The Gaggia brand of coffee machines and espresso makers has a rich and storied history. Founded in Milan by Achille Gaggia in 1948, Gaggia was the first company to mass-produce espresso machines. Gaggia machines are known for their unique compact design and traditional Italian styling, which is why they remain some of the most popular coffee machines on the market. 

In fact, the very first espresso machine was created in France in the early 1800s, but it was Gaggia who showed the world a new way of enjoying coffee with his espresso machine.
