Powering Hundreds of Businesses Including:

This machine takes up significant counter space, but that’s the trade-off for a boiler system that won't quit during your busiest hour. The Gaggia La Giusta uses glass touch controls to eliminate the mechanical failure points of traditional buttons, ensuring your workflow isn't interrupted by a sticky switch mid-shift. It signals to your customers that you’ve moved past entry-level hardware and are prepared for the reality of high-volume service. This is for the shop where the queue never really ends.

Product Features

Group Programmability

Each group has 5 programmable direct selection buttons so teams can assign consistent recipes and speed up workflow for busy service. Presets reduce training time and ensure repeatable extraction across baristas.

Glass Touch Control

A color touchscreen integrated into a glass console lets operators adjust all brewing parameters from shot profiling to temperature, giving consistent control during high-volume service. The USB port also allows easy program uploads and configuration changes between shifts.

Water Monitoring & Alerts

The machine monitors water usage and filter replacement timing to protect brew quality and help maintain warranty requirements. Built-in tracking makes maintenance scheduling proactive, reducing unexpected downtime in a commercial setting.

Rapid Group Purge

A dedicated purge button provides a quick rinse of each coffee group to stabilize temperatures and clear group heads between shots. That fast rinse keeps extraction consistent under pressure and speeds throughput during rushes.

Dual Steam Wands, Cool Touch

Two steam wands with cool touch technology let two baristas steam concurrently and handle continuous milk demand without long waits. Cool touch surfaces also reduce burn risk during fast-paced service.

Integrated Electric Cup Warmer

An electric cup warmer keeps cups at serving temperature so espresso and milk drinks hold crema and texture when presented to customers. Preheated cups improve beverage consistency and the overall customer experience.

The Coffeeionado Take

Who's It For:

  • Established café operators — Tall-cup groupheads accommodate latte glasses and to-go mugs without removing trays, eliminating a constant workflow friction in medium-volume to-go operations
  • High-volume coffee programs — A 300+ daily capacity with glass touch controls eliminates the mechanical failure points of traditional buttons, keeping service moving during the busiest rushes

Right For You If:

  • You are pulling 150+ shots per shift and your menu includes a high proportion of tall-cup to-go drinks that standard groupheads can't accommodate efficiently.
  • You want automatic operation so your baristas can focus on other bar tasks.
  • You have a direct water line or reservoir option and 220–240V power for a full-sized commercial installation.

Things to Consider:

  • The 40–75 minute warm-up is the tradeoff for the thermal mass that keeps temperature stable during sustained high-volume service — plan your opening routine accordingly or use a smart plug timer.
  • The glass touchscreen controls are elegant and eliminate sticky-button failures, but they may not respond well with wet or greasy hands — confirm the touch sensitivity works in your specific bar environment.

Our Take:

The La Giusta is Gaggia's answer for medium-volume shops that need tall-cup clearance and barista-controlled extraction — the glass touch interface is a genuine upgrade over mechanical buttons, and the thermal mass handles serious volume without temperature drift.

Heat Exchanger 14 Liter Boiler

The 14-liter commercial espresso machine with a heat exchange boiler is a high-powered and efficient coffee-making tool specifically designed for professional use in cafes, restaurants, and other commercial environments. Here are the key features:

  • Boiler Capacity: The 14-liter boiler offers plenty of space for making multiple espresso shots and steaming milk at the same time. Heat exchange machines utilize a single boiler to handle both brewing and steaming tasks.
  • Heat Exchange: In contrast to dual boiler machines that have separate boilers for brewing and steaming, heat exchange machines employ a single boiler with a heat exchange tube. This tube allows hot water from the boiler to heat the brewing water as it flows through, ensuring consistent brewing temperature.
  • Simultaneous Brewing and Steaming: Thanks to the heat exchange system, baristas can brew espresso shots while simultaneously frothing milk for lattes or cappuccinos. This simultaneous operation is essential during peak hours in a commercial setting.
  • Temperature Control: Heat exchange machines maintain steady water temperature for brewing purposes. The boiler remains at steaming temperature, while the heat exchange tube ensures that the brewing water is heated as needed.

Ease of Use

La Giusta espresso machine is a game-changer for baristas, providing them with ultimate control and customization options through its innovative color touchscreen. With this touchscreen, baristas can effortlessly adjust all parameters to achieve the perfect cup of coffee while also being able to set up the energy-saving mode, ensuring sustainability.

Water Quality & Machine Protection

Proper water quality is essential for optimal espresso extraction and long-term machine health. Use the guidelines below to ensure your machine performs at its best.

Parameter Ideal Range Why It Matters
Total Hardness 50-170 ppm Prevents scale buildup while maintaining flavor
pH Level 6.5-7.5 Ensures balanced extraction and protects internal components
Chlorine 0 ppm Eliminates off-flavors and prevents corrosion
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) 70-150 ppm Optimal mineral content for extraction and taste
Total Alkalinity ~7.0 Stabilizes acidity and extraction
Chloride 0-28 ppm Prevents corrosion (especially in steel boilers)

Important Note

Always refer to your machine's manual for specific water quality recommendations and maintenance schedules.

Advisory

Install a water filtration system to maintain consistent water quality and extend the life of your espresso machine.

What This Means

  • Water that’s too hard → scale buildup, reduced performance
  • Water that’s too soft → flat, dull espresso
  • Improper water can damage internal components over time

Machine-Specific Considerations

  • Some machines (especially with stainless steel boilers) require stricter limits on chlorides

Product FAQ

Does the Gaggia La Giusta 2 Group Tall have a rotary pump or a vibration pump?

The Gaggia La Giusta 2 Group Tall is equipped with a commercial‑grade rotary pump. Rotary pumps are quieter, more durable, and provide more consistent pressure than vibration pumps, making them a better choice for high‑volume commercial environments.

Is the Gaggia La Giusta 2 Group Tall a direct‑plumbed machine, or can it use a water tank?

The La Giusta 2 Group Tall is designed to be direct‑plumbed to your water line only. It does not use an internal water reservoir. A stable, filtered water connection and proper water treatment are strongly recommended to protect the machine and maintain coffee quality.

Does the La Giusta 2 Group Tall offer pre‑infusion, and is it programmable?

Yes. The Gaggia La Giusta 2 Group Tall includes programmable pre‑infusion. You can set pre‑infusion times through the control panel so that each group head can gently soak the coffee puck before full pressure is applied, improving extraction and shot consistency.

Are the steam wands on the Gaggia La Giusta 2 Group Tall cool‑touch or no‑burn?

Yes. The machine is equipped with insulated, cool‑touch (no‑burn) steam wands. These wands stay significantly cooler to the touch than traditional wands, making them safer for baristas and reducing milk buildup on the wand surface.

How tall is the cup clearance on the ‘Tall’ version, and can it handle 16–20 oz to‑go cups?

The ‘Tall’ configuration is designed specifically for larger takeaway cups. Cup clearance under the group is typically around 5.5–6 inches (about 140–150 mm), which comfortably fits most 16–20 oz to‑go cups. Removable or adjustable cup trays allow you to work efficiently with both espresso cups and tall cups.

Is the La Giusta 2 Group Tall a heat‑exchange or multi‑boiler espresso machine, and can it brew and steam at the same time?

The Gaggia La Giusta 2 Group Tall uses a commercial heat‑exchange boiler system. Each group has its own heat exchanger fed by a large main boiler. This allows you to pull shots and steam milk simultaneously on both groups and both steam wands without significant temperature drop, supporting high‑volume service.

Does this machine have programmable volumetric dosing for each group head?

Yes. The La Giusta 2 Group Tall is a volumetric machine. Each group head has multiple programmable buttons (such as single, double, and custom doses) so you can set and save shot volumes. There is also a continuous/manual button for full barista control when needed.

What kind of power and electrical requirements does the Gaggia La Giusta 2 Group Tall have for use in a US café?

The 2‑group Tall model is typically configured for 220–240V, 50/60 Hz, hard‑wired connection, drawing in the range of 4000–5000 W (exact specs can vary by configuration). In the US, that usually means a dedicated 220–240V circuit installed by a licensed electrician. Always check the data plate on the machine and your distributor’s spec sheet for the precise amperage and wiring requirements.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.

At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.

Which Machines Qualify

Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.

If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.

What's Included

  • Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
  • Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
  • Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
  • Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself

Installation must be completed within 30 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.

How Installation Is Arranged

Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:

Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.

Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.

We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

What's Not Included

The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:

  • Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is your responsibility
  • Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
  • Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
  • Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
  • False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.

Water Filtration Requirement

Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be your responsibility.

If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.

Service Area

Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If your location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain your responsibility.

Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.

After Installation

Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.

Governing Terms

This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.

Can I pick up the machine at your store?

We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.

However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
