Powering Hundreds of Businesses Including:

Your espresso program is only as consistent as the grinder feeding it, especially when the morning rush hits. A busy service will quickly expose the limits of undersized equipment, which usually results in someone tweaking the dial while tickets pile up. Putting 80mm burrs on the bar changes that math entirely. Once you remove that mechanical friction from the workflow, your team can get back to focusing on the customer standing in front of them.

Product Features

700 W Motor

A 700 W motor yields an average espresso output of up to 6.4 g/sec — an 18 g double shot can be ground in under three seconds. That throughput keeps pace during busy service without creating a bottleneck at the group.

80mm Burrs

Set of 80mm flat steel burrs produced in Germany for Anfim and rated to grind up to 1,500 KG of coffee. Larger flat burrs deliver stable, repeatable particle distribution that maintains extraction consistency across long service runs.

3.5″ Color Touchscreen

The 3.5″ color touchscreen displays and lets you select three programmable recipes (each adjustable to 1/10th of a second) plus a fourth manual mode. Quick, on-screen access speeds workflow and simplifies training for bar staff.

Stepless Micrometric Grind Adjustment

Stepless micrometric grind adjustment via the small knob to the right of the touchscreen allows single-handed, fine dialing. The stepless mechanism makes fast, precise recalibration easy when switching beans or compensating for environmental changes.

Portafilter Activated Grinding

Portafilter-activated grinding with a start switch in the portafilter holder enables hands-free dosing; the grinder is doserless and uses a Direct Drive system. This layout streamlines bar workflow and reduces dosing variability during peak periods.

Serviceable Italian Build

Full Made in Italy metal casework with an adjustable/removable grinds chute, removable magnetic catch tray, and key components accessible without tools for servicing. The ALBA also conforms to IEC/EN standards and NSF/ANSI 8, meeting commercial hygiene and safety requirements.

The Coffeeionado Take

Who's It For:

  • High-Volume Espresso Bars — Cafés pulling hundreds of shots daily need throughput that won't bottleneck during rush. At 6.4 g/sec with 80mm flat hardened steel burrs, this grinder keeps pace
  • Continuous-Service Operations — The 2000g hopper capacity means fewer refills during peak hours, keeping baristas focused on drinks rather than bean management
  • Italian-Made Purists — Manufactured in Italy with the build quality that implies. For those who value proven engineering pedigree

It's Right For You If:

  • You need raw throughput. At 6.4 g/sec with 80mm flat hardened steel burrs, this grinder turns out an 18g dose in under three seconds and keeps that pace through a full rush.
  • The 2000g hopper keeps you grinding through peak hours without constant refilling — practical for continuous service environments.

Things to Consider:

  • At 13.0kg, it's lighter than many commercial grinders but still firmly a fixed-installation piece.
  • No programmable dosing presets — you'll be manually timing or weighing each dose. Some baristas prefer this control; others find it adds a step to the workflow.
  • The larger burr set and commercial build put this in a higher price bracket than 64-65mm alternatives. You're paying for throughput and longevity — worth it at volume, harder to justify for a home setup.

Our Take:

The Anfim Alba On Demand Grinder is built for speed without sacrificing the grind quality that high-end espresso demands. At 6.4 g/sec, it removes grinding from your bottleneck list entirely.

Stepless - Infinite Grind Size Adjustment

Stepless grinders differ from stepped grinders in that they do not have preset grind settings. Instead, they feature a collar that you can rotate to adjust the grind size. This precision is especially valuable for espresso, as even small changes in grind size can greatly affect the taste of the coffee.

Stepless grinders offer unmatched control over your grind, enabling you to finely adjust it to your preferences and achieve superior extraction results.

80mm Flat Burrs

The size of the burrs in coffee grinders, such as 80mm grinders, is crucial for achieving high-quality coffee. These larger burrs create a consistent grind by breaking down coffee beans into uniform particles, which significantly impacts the taste of your brew.

Larger burrs rotate at a slower pace, minimizing heat production and safeguarding the vital oils in the beans. This ensures that your espresso shot is rich in flavor and aroma. With their durable build and extended performance, larger burrs have a longer lifespan compared to smaller ones.

Alba Screen

Touchscreen Features

The 3.5-inch touchscreen interface allows users to customize and lock three programmable recipes. Additionally, it serves as a central point for owners to track and explore usage statistics.

Programmable Shots

Customize your coffee by programming the shots to dispense a specific amount of coffee grounds. This ensures consistent results in every grind, whether you’re making a single or double shot of espresso.

Grind Distribution

Quick Output

The Alba delivers an impressive output, achieving a perfectly balanced and consistent double shot in just 2.6 seconds. This speed ensures each shot is extracted with precision, resulting in a rich and flavorful espresso.

With reliable performance and speed, the Alba is ideal for any shop looking to streamline workflows and deliver exceptional coffee beverages.

Product FAQ

What type and size of burrs does the Anfim Alba On Demand Grinder come with?

The Anfim Alba On Demand Grinder is equipped with flat, hardened steel burrs designed specifically for espresso grinding. The large flat burrs provide consistent particle size, clarity in flavor, and fast grinding suitable for busy service environments.

Is the Anfim Alba a stepless grinder, and how precise is the grind adjustment?

Yes, the Anfim Alba uses a stepless (infinitely adjustable) grind collar. This allows you to dial in espresso with very fine increments, making it easier to hit precise extraction times and adjust for different coffees or environmental changes.

How often do I need to replace the burrs and how long do they typically last?

Burr life depends on usage and bean hardness, but for typical commercial espresso use, you can expect flat burrs to last roughly 800–1,200 kg of coffee before performance noticeably declines. In a lower‑volume setting, this can translate to several years. For best results, monitor shot times and flavor; if you need to keep tightening the grind to maintain the same extraction, it’s a sign the burrs are wearing and should be replaced.

Is the Anfim Alba suitable for both espresso and filter coffee grinding?

The Anfim Alba is primarily designed and optimized for espresso grinding. While it can be adjusted coarser, it is not ideal as an all‑purpose grinder for regular filter, batch brew, or French press use. For best performance, use it mainly for espresso and espresso‑based drinks.

What types of settings is this grinder best suited for (café, home, restaurant, office)?

The Anfim Alba is built as a professional on‑demand espresso grinder, making it an excellent fit for cafés, coffee bars, restaurants, and higher‑end offices that serve multiple espresso drinks throughout the day. Enthusiast home users who want commercial‑style performance and are comfortable with its size and power requirements may also find it suitable for home espresso setups.

Does the Anfim Alba offer hands‑free operation and what kind of dosing control does it have?

Yes, the Anfim Alba is designed for hands‑free operation with a portafilter fork that holds the portafilter while grinding. It typically includes programmable timed dosing (single and double dose) so you can set consistent shot doses, and many models also offer a manual mode for topping up or experimenting.

How fast does the Anfim Alba grind, and can it keep up with multiple drinks in a busy period?

The Anfim Alba is built for speed and consistency in professional environments. With its large flat burrs and powerful motor, it can grind a standard 18–20 g espresso dose in just a few seconds and comfortably keep up with back‑to‑back drinks during rush periods, provided it is properly maintained and correctly adjusted.

Does the Anfim Alba have a built‑in cooling fan or features to manage heat during heavy use?

The Anfim Alba is designed with a robust motor and airflow to handle typical commercial use. Some configurations include or are compatible with active cooling features to help manage burr and motor temperatures during extended high‑volume grinding, reducing flavor drift from heat buildup. Check the specific model configuration or product specs to confirm whether a dedicated cooling fan is included.

How does free installation work?

We want to make your purchase as smooth as possible and will pay the installation via rebate on commercial espresso machines. This includes commercial machines with more than 1 group head and 220V.

If the certified installer needed is over 1.5 hours away then we will pay for the installation call (and install up to the value suggested on page minus call fee). Travel will be paid by customer. Inquire if you have any questions about your location.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.

At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.

Which Machines Qualify

Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.

If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.

What's Included

  • Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
  • Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
  • Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
  • Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself

Installation must be completed within 30 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.

How Installation Is Arranged

Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:

Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.

Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.

We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

What's Not Included

The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:

  • Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is your responsibility
  • Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
  • Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
  • Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
  • False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.

Water Filtration Requirement

Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be your responsibility.

If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.

Service Area

Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If your location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain your responsibility.

Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.

After Installation

Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.

Governing Terms

This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.

Can I pick up the machine at your store?

We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.

However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
