Powering Hundreds of Businesses Including:

A lever machine behind the bar tells your customers that your coffee program isn't run by a computer, but by someone who understands the physics of extraction. It signals a commitment to a tactile craft that a button-pushing automatic simply cannot replicate for a discerning clientele. Despite the manual interface, the 14-litre boiler ensures you have the thermal stability and steam capacity to manage a morning rush without losing your recovery time. This is the centerpiece for a shop that values the theater of the pull as much as the final cup.

Product Features

Twin Chromed Brass Groups

Two independent chromed brass groups with infusion chambers let two baristas pull simultaneously or stage back-to-back extractions without waiting. The lever piston operation on each group puts pressure and timing directly in the barista's hands — no automated dosing between you and the shot.

Lever Piston Operation

lever piston operation gives baristas direct, tactile control over extraction through a classic pull-down lever—perfect for operators who rely on feel and timing to hit consistent shot profiles during service. The manual piston workflow recreates a traditional Italian café routine while letting skilled staff subtly influence pressure and flow.

14-Litre Boiler

A 14-litre boiler (230V / 4370W on the 2 Group model) supplies substantial thermal mass and steam recovery for continuous service, reducing temperature drop between successive shots. The larger boiler helps sustain stable boiler pressure and steam delivery during peak periods.

Dual Pivoting Steam Wands

The machine includes 2 pivoting steam wands so teams can froth two milk drinks simultaneously or prep milk on the fly without crowding the bar. Pivoting wands increase reach and ergonomics for faster, more consistent microfoam production under pressure.

Built-In Pressure Guage

An on-machine pressure guage provides real-time readout of boiler/brew pressure so baristas and technicians can monitor extraction at a glance. Visible pressure feedback helps maintain consistency across shifts and quickly flags when service conditions need adjustment.

Auto-Fill System

The auto-fill system keeps the boiler topped automatically, reducing manual refilling and operator interruptions during busy service. Continuous water management lowers the chance of downtime and keeps the machine ready for back-to-back orders.

The Coffeeionado Take

Who's It For:

  • Hobbyists who want manual control — Lever-driven extraction with pressure profiling gives baristas tactile control over every shot variable for nuanced flavor development
  • Coffee training centers and academies — The manual lever workflow is an ideal teaching platform for understanding extraction theory, pressure dynamics, and shot calibration
  • Roasters serving wholesale customers in-house — A lever machine showcases craftsmanship and technique when pulling samples or hosting wholesale client visits

Right For You If:

  • Your baristas are skilled with manual extraction and can manage pressure profiling by feel across a full shift.
  • You want the theater and craft of lever espresso as a differentiator for your café brand and customer experience.
  • You have direct plumbing and a 220–240V circuit, and your daily volume stays under 175 drinks.

Things to Consider:

  • Warm-up time is 45–120+ minutes — plan your opening routine around this, as the machine needs significant lead time before service.
  • There is no automation: no volumetric dosing, no programmable shots, no shot timer. Every extraction is fully manual, which demands trained, consistent staff.
  • If your priority is speed and throughput over craft, a volumetric automatic machine will move the line faster with less operator dependency.

Our Take:

The Diamante Lever is a centerpiece machine for cafés where the craft of espresso is central to the brand — the lever extraction delivers shot quality and crema that automation cannot match. We sell these to operators who have the barista skill to back it up and want their equipment to tell that story to every customer in line.

Water Quality & Machine Protection

Proper water quality is essential for optimal espresso extraction and long-term machine health. Use the guidelines below to ensure your machine performs at its best.

Parameter Ideal Range Why It Matters
Total Hardness 50-170 ppm Prevents scale buildup while maintaining flavor
pH Level 6.5-7.5 Ensures balanced extraction and protects internal components
Chlorine 0 ppm Eliminates off-flavors and prevents corrosion
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) 70-150 ppm Optimal mineral content for extraction and taste
Total Alkalinity ~7.0 Stabilizes acidity and extraction
Chloride 0-28 ppm Prevents corrosion (especially in steel boilers)

Important Note

Always refer to your machine's manual for specific water quality recommendations and maintenance schedules.

Advisory

Install a water filtration system to maintain consistent water quality and extend the life of your espresso machine.

What This Means

  • Water that’s too hard → scale buildup, reduced performance
  • Water that’s too soft → flat, dull espresso
  • Improper water can damage internal components over time

Machine-Specific Considerations

  • Some machines (especially with stainless steel boilers) require stricter limits on chlorides

Product FAQ

Is the La Pavoni Diamante 2 Group Lever machine direct‑plumbed, or can it be used with a water tank?

The La Pavoni Diamante 2 Group Lever is designed as a direct‑plumbed commercial machine and must be connected to a fixed water line. It does not include an internal water reservoir for pour‑over use.

Does the Diamante lever machine use a rotary pump, and how loud is it in a café setting?

Yes. The Diamante line uses a commercial‑grade rotary pump to supply water to the boiler and groups. Rotary pumps are significantly quieter than vibration pumps and are suitable for front‑of‑house use in cafés and restaurants.

Does the La Pavoni Diamante 2 Group Lever offer pre‑infusion, and is it adjustable?

As a traditional lever machine, the Diamante provides mechanical pre‑infusion: when you pull the lever down, line‑pressure water saturates the puck at low pressure before the spring takes over for full extraction. Pre‑infusion time is not controlled electronically, but baristas can influence it by how long they hold the lever in the pre‑infusion position.

Does this machine include cool‑touch (no‑burn) steam wands and a hot‑water tap?

Most Diamante commercial configurations ship with anti‑burn or cool‑touch steam wands and a dedicated hot‑water tap for Americanos and tea. Because specifications can vary by importer and year, it’s best to confirm with the US distributor or reseller if cool‑touch wands are included on the exact model you’re purchasing.

Is the La Pavoni Diamante 2 Group Lever a single‑boiler, dual‑boiler, or heat‑exchanger machine?

The Diamante 2 Group Lever is a large heat‑exchanger commercial machine with a single service boiler feeding separate heat‑exchanger circuits for each group. This allows you to brew espresso and steam milk at the same time with stable temperatures suitable for high‑volume service.

What kind of electrical power does the Diamante 2 Group Lever require in the US, and can it run on standard 110–120V outlets?

The 2‑group Diamante Lever is a commercial unit that typically requires 220–240V power on a dedicated circuit. It cannot operate on a standard 110–120V household outlet. Always check the nameplate and local distributor specs for the exact amperage and wiring requirements before installation.

Does the machine come with built‑in pressure gauges for boiler and brew pressure, and can I adjust pressure myself?

Yes. The Diamante usually includes front‑mounted gauges showing boiler pressure and line/pump pressure. Boiler pressure can be adjusted via the pressurestat or electronic controller inside the machine. Brew pressure on a lever group is primarily determined by the lever’s spring and line pressure; adjustments beyond basic line‑pressure control should be done by a qualified technician.

What kind of water filtration or softening is required to protect the boiler and maintain the warranty?

Because this is a plumbed commercial machine, La Pavoni and US distributors generally require proper water treatment—such as a plumbed‑in filter and softener or a combo cartridge system—matched to your local water hardness. Using untreated hard water can quickly cause scale buildup, lead to performance issues, and may void parts of the warranty. Your installer should test your water and recommend an appropriate system.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.

At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.

Which Machines Qualify

Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.

If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.

What's Included

  • Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
  • Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
  • Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
  • Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself

Installation must be completed within 30 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.

How Installation Is Arranged

Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:

Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.

Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.

We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

What's Not Included

The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:

  • Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is your responsibility
  • Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
  • Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
  • Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
  • False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.

Water Filtration Requirement

Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be your responsibility.

If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.

Service Area

Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If your location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain your responsibility.

Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.

After Installation

Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.

Governing Terms

This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.

Can I pick up the machine at your store?

We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.

However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
