Powering Hundreds of Businesses Including:

# Fiamma Marina 1 Group Volumetric

Your morning rush shouldn't require a technician on standby. The Fiamma Marina 1 Group Volumetric eliminates the guesswork from shot pulling—delivering consistent espresso volumes with zero operator variance, which means your team pulls the same quality drink whether it's their first shift or their hundredth. For café owners tired of complaint tickets about inconsistent shots, or training new baristas over and over, this machine ends that cycle.

## How Consistency Actually Works

The volumetric dosing system measures espresso output by volume rather than time. Your barista hits the button; the machine dispenses exactly 1 oz, 1.5 oz, or 2 oz—whatever you've programmed—and stops automatically. No guessing. No drift. No shot that's slightly thin because the grind shifted mid-service. This matters because consistency is what builds customer loyalty and reduces waste. A single-group machine with volumetric control handles 150–200 drinks per day without degradation in shot quality.

## The Math Behind Your Bottom Line

Let's ground this in reality: a typical café retrains baristas every 4–6 months, losing 2–3 hours per person to dialing in. A volumetric machine cuts that to 15 minutes of basic orientation. Over a year, that's roughly 40–60 labor hours recovered. Add in reduced espresso waste (bad shots, over-pours, inconsistency complaints), and you're looking at 3–5% improvement in gross margin on espresso-based beverages. For a café pulling 250+ drinks weekly, that's real money.

## Built to Last, Built to Recover

Fiamma machines are engineered in Italy with commercial durability as the baseline standard. The Marina 1 Group uses a robust rotary pump system, thermostatic group head stability, and accessible internals designed for easy maintenance—not proprietary complexity. You're not locked into one technician's schedule or paying premium rates because parts are obscure.

## Your Coverage Is Real

Coffeeionado backs every Fiamma machine with **24-month parts coverage** on commercial units, plus lifetime technical support. We maintain relationships with certified technicians nationwide, so if something fails, you have options—not hostages. No black-box warranty. No mail-in delays. You own a tool that stays in service.

## Why This Matters

A 1-group machine suits small to mid-size cafés, satellite locations, or specialty roasteries running a light service bar. The volumetric system isn't a luxury feature—it's operational infrastructure. It standardizes output, reduces training friction, and keeps your workflow clean during peak hours. You're paying for reliability that compounds over time.

Automatic Espresso Machine

Automatic espresso machines have revolutionized the way baristas operate in coffee shops, allowing them to focus on other tasks while still producing high-quality espressos. With programmable doses, you can set specific measurements for each shot of espresso, ensuring consistency and efficiency in the brewing process. This feature not only helps save time but also maintains the quality and flavor of the final product. Meanwhile, they can also focus on other tasks such as taking money, steaming milk, or other work tasks.

Volumetric Controls

Volumetric espresso machines with automated features offer a great solution for coffee shops and home users alike. From easy-to-use programmable features, to increased consistency in every cup of espresso, these machines make brewing the perfect cup easier than ever before. These controls guarantee accurate water-to-coffee ratios, a key factor in making great espresso.

Manometer

The pressure gauge on espresso machines is vital for producing top-notch espresso. It shows the pressure used to extract the coffee, ensuring that water passes through the grounds in the portafilter at the right force. Keeping this pressure steady is key to making excellent espresso shots every time.

Thermostability

The Caravel units are equipped with thermal stability to the coffee groups which ensure a constant temperature and pre-infusion of the coffee grounds which allows for consistent, balanced shots of coffee.

3L Copper Boiler

Copper boilers in espresso machines offer exceptional heat conductivity, ensuring rapid heating and faster recovery times for a quicker startup. Maintaining optimal brewing temperatures is essential for consistently good espresso, and copper's ability to uphold steady temperatures contributes to a consistent brew quality. Additionally, copper's natural antimicrobial properties make it a hygienic choice for espresso machines by inhibiting the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms.

Heat Exchange Espresso Machine

The heat exchange espresso machine is designed to provide a consistent and efficient brewing experience. By utilizing a heat exchange system, the machine is able to simultaneously heat water for brewing and produce steam for frothing milk. This ensures that the temperature of the water remains stable throughout the brewing process, resulting in a flavorful and well-extracted shot of espresso.

The heat exchange system also allows for quick and continuous steaming, making it ideal for busy coffee shops or home baristas looking to create lattes and cappuccinos with ease. With its ability to maintain precise temperature control and deliver powerful steam, the heat exchange espresso machine is a valuable tool for producing high-quality coffee beverages.

Programmable Doses

Set single, double, long and long double espresso doses to perfectly repeat your favorite recipes. At the touch of a button you can extract your programmed shot. Let your baristas concentrate on other tasks while the espresso maker automatically pulls your shots.

E61 Group Head

The E61 group head is renowned for its exceptional temperature stability, and this is further enhanced by the 8 pounds of quality brass used in its construction. This substantial amount of brass ensures that heat is evenly distributed throughout the group head, resulting in precise and consistent brewing temperatures.

Cool Touch Steam Wands

With these revolutionary features, you can froth and steam milk without any concerns about getting burned. The cool touch technology ensures that the wand remains at a safe temperature, allowing you to focus on creating the perfect espresso drinks without any worries. Say goodbye to accidental burns and hello to a more enjoyable coffee-making process with our state-of-the-art espresso machine.

Water Quality & Machine Protection

Proper water quality is essential for optimal espresso extraction and long-term machine health. Use the guidelines below to ensure your machine performs at its best.

Parameter Ideal Range Why It Matters
Total Hardness 50-170 ppm Prevents scale buildup while maintaining flavor
pH Level 6.5-7.5 Ensures balanced extraction and protects internal components
Chlorine 0 ppm Eliminates off-flavors and prevents corrosion
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) 70-150 ppm Optimal mineral content for extraction and taste
Total Alkalinity ~7.0 Stabilizes acidity and extraction
Chloride 0-28 ppm Prevents corrosion (especially in steel boilers)

Important Note

Always refer to your machine's manual for specific water quality recommendations and maintenance schedules.

Advisory

Install a water filtration system to maintain consistent water quality and extend the life of your espresso machine.

What This Means

  • Water that’s too hard → scale buildup, reduced performance
  • Water that’s too soft → flat, dull espresso
  • Improper water can damage internal components over time

Machine-Specific Considerations

  • Some machines (especially with stainless steel boilers) require stricter limits on chlorides

Product FAQ

Does the Fiamma Marina 1 Group Volumetric use a rotary pump or a vibratory pump?

The Fiamma Marina 1 Group Volumetric is typically equipped with a commercial rotary pump, designed for consistent pressure, quieter operation, and long‑term durability in a café or light commercial setting. Always confirm pump type with the specific seller, as configurations can vary by distributor.

Is this machine direct-plumbed only, or can it also run from a water tank?

The Marina 1 Group Volumetric is designed primarily as a direct-plumbed machine that connects to a fixed water line. Some versions may support an external pump and reservoir system, but it is not commonly sold as a built‑in tank model. Check with your supplier if you need to run it from a tank in a mobile or cart setup.

Does the Fiamma Marina 1 Group Volumetric have programmable volumetric dosing?

Yes. As a volumetric machine, it allows you to program shot volumes (for example, single and double espresso buttons) so the machine automatically stops the extraction at the set volume, providing consistent dosing shot after shot.

Does this machine offer pre-infusion, and is it adjustable?

The Marina 1 Group Volumetric includes pre-infusion to help improve extraction consistency and crema quality. On most configurations, pre-infusion is managed by the internal programming and line pressure rather than being individually adjustable per shot. Some advanced menu settings may allow service technicians to fine‑tune timing; consult the user or service manual provided with your unit.

What is the boiler capacity and is it a heat-exchanger or dual-boiler design?

The Fiamma Marina 1 Group Volumetric is generally built with a single large copper heat‑exchanger boiler (commonly around 4–6 liters, depending on model year and spec). This design lets you pull espresso shots and steam milk at the same time, making it suitable for small cafés, restaurants, offices, and serious home users who need commercial performance.

Are the steam wands cool-touch or no-burn, and how many steam wands does it have?

The Marina 1 Group Volumetric usually comes with one traditional stainless‑steel steam wand and one hot‑water spout. The steam wand on many versions is an anti‑burn or cool‑touch style, staying significantly cooler and reducing milk sticking to the wand, but the tip will still get hot during steaming. Because specifications can differ by production run, verify cool‑touch status with your reseller.

What kind of power does it require, and can I run it on a standard US 110–120V outlet?

Most Fiamma Marina 1 Group Volumetric models for the US market are available in 110–120V configurations, typically drawing around 15–20 amps. Some higher‑powered or export variants may require 220–240V. Always check the nameplate rating on the specific unit and confirm with your electrician that your circuit can handle the amperage and dedicated line requirements.

Is the Fiamma Marina 1 Group Volumetric suitable for a small café or only for home use?

This is a commercial‑grade machine and is well‑suited for small cafés, bakeries, offices, or restaurants that serve a moderate volume of drinks. It can also be used by advanced home users who want commercial equipment. For very high‑volume espresso bars, a 2‑ or 3‑group machine is generally recommended.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.

At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.

Which Machines Qualify

Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.

If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.

What's Included

  • Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
  • Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
  • Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
  • Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself

Installation must be completed within 30 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.

How Installation Is Arranged

Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:

Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.

Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.

We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

What's Not Included

The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:

  • Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is your responsibility
  • Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
  • Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
  • Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
  • False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.

Water Filtration Requirement

Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be your responsibility.

If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.

Service Area

Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If your location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain your responsibility.

Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.

After Installation

Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.

Governing Terms

This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.

Can I pick up the machine at your store?

We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.

However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
