Powering Hundreds of Businesses Including:

There is a specific stage in an espresso journey where the equipment needs to stop being a bottleneck and start being a partner. Integrating the Brewing Pressure Profiling (BPPC) system into your workflow means you are no longer at the mercy of a fixed pump curve or a manufacturer's preset. It is a substantial piece of stainless steel that demands its own dedicated footprint and rewards that real estate with thermal stability that doesn't drift after the fourth back-to-back shot. This machine belongs in a setup where the pursuit of a specific flavor profile has become more important than just making a morning beverage.

Product Features

Dual PID Temperature Control

Dual PIDs let you set independent temperatures for each boiler—PID for Coffee Temperature and PID for Steam Temperature—so brew and steam targets remain stable and repeatable. That temperature separation reduces shot variability when you push dosing and grind precision.

Brewing Pressure Profiling (BPPC)

BPPC (Brewing Pressure Profile Control) allows water pressure to be adjusted during the infusion, so you can shape pre-infusion and ramping to extract the flavours you want. Built-in profiling gives the control necessary to dial in single origins and complex blends for consistent results.

True Dual-Boiler Architecture

A dedicated coffee boiler (0.6 L) and a larger copper & brass steam boiler (1.8 L) let you brew and steam simultaneously without temperature compromise. The steam boiler can be switched off when not required, reducing idle energy and simplifying maintenance for lower-volume use.

Tank Or Plumb-In Flexibility

Use the removable 2.9 L water tank or connect directly with the machine's water supply connection (tube for water supply included) for continuous service. Electronic automatic water level and anti-vacuum valve ensure reliable fills whether bench-top or plumbed-in.

E61 Group & Competition Extraction Kit

The chromed E61 brewing group with a brass brewing unit and a 58 mm filter-holder provides the thermal mass and fitment pros expect. La Pavoni supplies a range of filters and competition shower heads (including Blind/Competition 16 gr and Competition 20 gr) so you can run higher-dose, competition-style shots.

On-Board Pressure Monitoring

Multiple manometers—brewing unit manometer, pump manometer and boiler manometer—let you monitor real-time pressures and correlate changes to grind, dose and BPPC settings. Visible feedback makes adjustments faster and helps lock in repeatable shots.

The Coffeeionado Take

Who's It For:

  • Home users upgrading from a single-boiler or HX machine — Dual boilers with PID and rotary pump give you the thermal stability and quiet operation that entry-level gear cannot match
  • Enthusiasts who want to explore pressure profiling — The BPPC system lets you manually shape extraction pressure without buying a separate flow control device
  • Home baristas pulling 4–15 drinks daily — Enough boiler capacity and recovery for a busy household without commercial-grade maintenance

It's Right For You If:

  • You are pulling 4–15 shots daily and want the option to manually profile pressure as your technique develops.
  • You have counter space for a full-size E61 machine and a 220V outlet available.
  • You want both reservoir and direct plumbing flexibility — this machine supports either configuration.

Things to Consider:

  • The 0.6L brew boiler is adequate for home use but will not match the recovery of larger dual boilers during sustained entertaining.
  • E61 groups need 15–20 minutes to fully stabilize — budget for a smart plug timer if morning speed is a priority.
  • No display or shot timer on the base model — you will need a separate scale or timer to track extraction.

Our Take:

The Botticelli is La Pavoni is entry into the serious dual-boiler market — it gives you an E61 group, a rotary pump, and the BPPC profiling system at a price point that undercuts much of the competition. If you are the kind of person who wants to grow into pressure profiling without buying twice, this is a platform that will keep up with you as your technique evolves.

La Pavoni Botticelli Espresso Machine

Flow Control - Group Head Pressure Gauge

Customize your shots on the fly with the group head pressure gauge that allows you to regulate the flow rate and pressure while extracting espresso. This hands-on approach gives you enhanced precision in crafting each shot to achieve perfection.

Enjoy consistently great espresso shots with the BPPC

The BPPC (Brewing Pressure Profiling Control) is undoubtedly one of the best features on the Botticelli. It is capable of managing extraction rates and maximizing the flow of espresso. With the BPPC, you can replicate the best shots you've ever pulled, eliminating the chances of getting inconsistent flavor profiles.

Dual PID-controlled dual boilers

Great tasting shots is a guarantee with the La Pavoni Botticelli due to its impressive thermal stability. The two boilers for steam and espresso can both be controlled by the PID, allowing you to accurately set a precise temperature.

With PID controller espresso machines, you ensure that the water temperature remains constant and ideal for producing high-quality espresso.

Copper Boilers

Copper boilers in espresso machines offer exceptional heat conductivity, ensuring rapid heating and faster recovery times for a quicker startup. Maintaining optimal brewing temperatures is essential for consistently good espresso, and copper's ability to uphold steady temperatures contributes to a consistent brew quality. Additionally, copper's natural antimicrobial properties make it a hygienic choice for espresso machines by inhibiting the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms.

Dual Boiler Espresso Machine

A dual boiler espresso machine is engineered with two distinct boilers: one for brewing espresso at the perfect temperature and another for generating steam to froth milk. Unlike single boiler machines that share one boiler for both tasks, dual boilers enable simultaneous brewing and steaming, ensuring consistent temperature and pressure for superior quality espresso beverages.

Rotary Pump for Quieter Operations

Rotary pump espresso machines offer many advantages, especially for home usage. Its low noise level is a key benefit, ensuring a quieter espresso experience. Rotary pumps have a longer lifespan of approximately 15 years, making them a reliable option for long-term use and reducing the need for frequent replacements. Additionally, they provide more consistent pressure and achieve quick pressure buildup compared to vibratory pumps.

Cool Touch Wands

With these revolutionary features, you can froth and steam milk without any concerns about getting burned. The cool touch technology ensures that the wand remains at a safe temperature, allowing you to focus on creating the perfect espresso drinks without any worries. Say goodbye to accidental burns and hello to a more enjoyable coffee-making process with our state-of-the-art espresso machine.

An all-round professional build

Water Quality & Machine Protection

Proper water quality is essential for optimal espresso extraction and long-term machine health. Use the guidelines below to ensure your machine performs at its best.

Parameter Ideal Range Why It Matters
Total Hardness 50-170 ppm Prevents scale buildup while maintaining flavor
pH Level 6.5-7.5 Ensures balanced extraction and protects internal components
Chlorine 0 ppm Eliminates off-flavors and prevents corrosion
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) 70-150 ppm Optimal mineral content for extraction and taste
Total Alkalinity ~7.0 Stabilizes acidity and extraction
Chloride 0-28 ppm Prevents corrosion (especially in steel boilers)

Important Note

Always refer to your machine's manual for specific water quality recommendations and maintenance schedules.

Advisory

Install a water filtration system to maintain consistent water quality and extend the life of your espresso machine.

What This Means

  • Water that’s too hard → scale buildup, reduced performance
  • Water that’s too soft → flat, dull espresso
  • Improper water can damage internal components over time

Machine-Specific Considerations

  • These guidelines are safe for most home espresso machines
  • Some machines (especially with stainless steel boilers) require stricter limits on chlorides

Product FAQ

Does the La Pavoni Botticelli Dual Boiler have a rotary pump or a vibratory pump, and how loud is it?

The La Pavoni Botticelli Dual Boiler is equipped with a rotary pump. Rotary pumps are generally quieter and provide more consistent pressure than vibratory pumps, which is helpful for stable extractions and a more pleasant experience in home or office environments.

Can the La Pavoni Botticelli Dual Boiler be direct‑plumbed, and does it still allow use of the water reservoir?

Yes. The Botticelli Dual Boiler is switchable between direct plumbing to a water line and an internal water reservoir, and includes the necessary fittings for either setup.

Does this machine offer pre‑infusion, and can I adjust the pre‑infusion time or pressure?

Yes, the Botticelli Dual Boiler offers pre‑infusion to gently saturate the coffee puck before full pressure is applied. Depending on the specific model or control board version, pre‑infusion time and/or pressure may be adjustable through the machine’s settings menu or by adjusting line pressure when plumbed‑in. Check the user manual for the exact level of control available on your model.

Are the steam and hot water wands cool‑touch or no‑burn on the La Pavoni Botticelli Dual Boiler?

Most current Botticelli Dual Boiler configurations come with cool‑touch (no‑burn) steam wands, which stay significantly cooler to the touch and reduce milk buildup on the wand. The hot water wand may not be fully cool‑touch and can still get hot during use, so it’s best to handle it by the designated grip area. Confirm the exact wand type in the specification sheet for your chosen seller.

What kind of group head does the Botticelli Dual Boiler use, and does it accept standard 58 mm portafilters?

The Botticelli Dual Boiler uses an E61‑style group head, a widely used commercial design known for good thermal stability and passive pre‑infusion. It accepts standard 58 mm portafilters, so you can use a wide range of third‑party baskets, tampers, and accessories sized for 58 mm setups.

Does the La Pavoni Botticelli Dual Boiler have PID temperature control for both boilers, and can I adjust brew and steam temperatures separately?

Yes. The machine is equipped with PID temperature control on both the brew boiler and the steam boiler. You can independently adjust the brew temperature for different roast levels and the steam boiler temperature (and therefore steam pressure) to suit your milk‑texturing preference, typically via a digital control panel or internal PID interface.

Is the Botticelli Dual Boiler suitable for making back‑to‑back drinks for guests, and can it brew espresso and steam milk at the same time?

The dual‑boiler design allows simultaneous brewing and steaming, so you can pull espresso shots while texturing milk without waiting. Combined with the rotary pump and dedicated steam boiler, this makes the Botticelli Dual Boiler well‑suited for entertaining and preparing multiple drinks in a row, as long as you allow normal recovery time for the boilers.

What type of power requirements does the La Pavoni Botticelli Dual Boiler have, and can I use it on a standard US kitchen outlet?

The US version of the Botticelli Dual Boiler operates on 110–120 V, 60 Hz and is designed to work on a standard 15‑ or 20‑amp US household circuit. Because it is a dual‑boiler machine with relatively high wattage, it should be plugged into a dedicated outlet when possible and not used with extension cords or power strips.

How does free installation work?

We want to make your purchase as smooth as possible and will pay the installation via rebate on commercial espresso machines. This includes commercial machines with more than 1 group head and 220V.

If the certified installer needed is over 1.5 hours away then we will pay for the installation call (and install up to the value suggested on page minus call fee). Travel will be paid by customer. Inquire if you have any questions about your location.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.

At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.

Which Machines Qualify

Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.

If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.

What's Included

  • Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
  • Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
  • Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
  • Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself

Installation must be completed within 30 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.

How Installation Is Arranged

Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:

Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.

Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.

We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

What's Not Included

The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:

  • Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is your responsibility
  • Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
  • Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
  • Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
  • False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.

Water Filtration Requirement

Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be your responsibility.

If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.

Service Area

Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If your location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain your responsibility.

Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.

After Installation

Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.

Governing Terms

This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.

Can I pick up the machine at your store?

We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.

However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
