Powering Hundreds of Businesses Including:

Your customers notice the equipment before they ever taste the espresso, and this machine signals a specific level of intent to anyone standing in line. A 14-liter boiler means you aren't waiting on the recovery time that slower setups require during a sustained morning rush. It is a piece of infrastructure for a business that treats consistency as a non-negotiable requirement rather than a goal. You gain the freedom to manage your shop instead of managing your steam pressure.

Product Features

Large 14-L Boiler

The 14-liter boiler provides the thermal mass needed for continuous group and steam demands. Larger capacity helps maintain temperature and steam availability across sustained service without long recovery times.

Volumetric Dosing Keypad

Semi-auto volumetric dosing with a 4-cup selection keypad gives baristas consistent, repeatable shot volumes at the push of a button. That programmed dosing speeds service and reduces dose variability during high-volume periods.

Dual Pivoting Steam Wands

The Diamante ships with 2 pivoting steam wands so you can steam milk and prepare multiple drinks simultaneously. Pivoting wands improve access for pitchers and keep milk workflow efficient during peak service.

Auto-Fill Water System

The auto-fill system maintains boiler water levels automatically, cutting downtime for manual refills and preserving extraction consistency. This is particularly useful in busy cafés where uninterrupted operation matters.

Double Gauges

Double gauges provide clear, simultaneous readouts so operators can monitor pressures at a glance. Immediate feedback on boiler and pump pressure helps staff diagnose and respond to issues during service.

Commercial Power Rating

Rated 230V / 4370W, the Diamante has the electrical capacity to support two groups and heavy steam demands. That specification helps ensure consistent performance under continuous use in café environments.

The Coffeeionado Take

Who's It For:

  • New café operators — Programmable volumetric dosing and automatic controls reduce training time while maintaining shot consistency across staff of varying skill levels
  • High-volume cafés and coffee bars — The 14-liter boiler and E61 group heads deliver the thermal stability and recovery needed for sustained 150–250 drink daily output
  • Multi-location café groups — Automatic controls standardize extraction across locations, making it easier to maintain brand consistency when scaling

Right For You If:

  • Your daily volume is 150–250 drinks and you need a machine that keeps up without thermal fade during peak hours.
  • You want programmable volumetric dosing so baristas can multitask during milk steaming without watching shot timers.
  • You have direct plumbing, a 220–240V circuit, and your workflow supports two baristas working the groups simultaneously.

Things to Consider:

  • The automatic controls mean less hands-on shot management — baristas who want to develop manual technique will find fewer opportunities on this machine.
  • Heat-up time is 40–75 minutes, so plan your opening routine accordingly or invest in a smart plug timer to have it ready before staff arrives.

Our Take:

The Diamante Automatic is built for cafés that treat consistency and throughput as non-negotiable — the 14L boiler and volumetric dosing let your team focus on customers instead of shot management. We recommend it for operators who are scaling up and need equipment that standardizes quality across every shift.

Water Quality & Machine Protection

Proper water quality is essential for optimal espresso extraction and long-term machine health. Use the guidelines below to ensure your machine performs at its best.

Parameter Ideal Range Why It Matters
Total Hardness 50-170 ppm Prevents scale buildup while maintaining flavor
pH Level 6.5-7.5 Ensures balanced extraction and protects internal components
Chlorine 0 ppm Eliminates off-flavors and prevents corrosion
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) 70-150 ppm Optimal mineral content for extraction and taste
Total Alkalinity ~7.0 Stabilizes acidity and extraction
Chloride 0-28 ppm Prevents corrosion (especially in steel boilers)

Important Note

Always refer to your machine's manual for specific water quality recommendations and maintenance schedules.

Advisory

Install a water filtration system to maintain consistent water quality and extend the life of your espresso machine.

What This Means

  • Water that’s too hard → scale buildup, reduced performance
  • Water that’s too soft → flat, dull espresso
  • Improper water can damage internal components over time

Machine-Specific Considerations

  • Some machines (especially with stainless steel boilers) require stricter limits on chlorides

Product FAQ

Is the La Pavoni Diamante 2 Group Automatic a direct‑plumbed machine, or can it also be used with a water reservoir?

The La Pavoni Diamante 2 Group Automatic is designed as a commercial, direct‑plumbed espresso machine. It must be connected to a permanent water line and is not intended to be used with an internal water reservoir.

Does the Diamante 2 Group Automatic use a rotary pump, and how loud is it in a café setting?

Yes, the Diamante 2 Group Automatic is equipped with a commercial‑grade rotary pump designed for continuous use. Rotary pumps are generally quieter than vibratory pumps, making this machine suitable for front‑of‑house use in cafés, restaurants, and bars.

Does this machine offer programmable volumetric dosing for each group head?

Yes. As an automatic (volumetric) model, the Diamante 2 Group allows you to program shot volumes for each group head. Baristas can select pre‑set buttons for consistent single and double shots, improving speed and shot‑to‑shot consistency.

Is there a pre‑infusion function on the La Pavoni Diamante 2 Group Automatic?

The Diamante 2 Group Automatic includes an electronic pre‑infusion feature. This briefly wets the coffee puck at a lower pressure before full extraction, helping improve shot consistency and reduce channeling when properly dialed in.

Does the Diamante have cool‑touch or no‑burn steam wands?

The Diamante 2 Group comes with traditional stainless-steel steam wands rather than anti-burn (cool-touch) wands. They also help prevent milk from sticking, making cleanup easier. Exact configuration can vary by importer, so check the spec sheet from your US distributor.

What kind of boiler system does it use, and is the boiler size sufficient for high‑volume service?

The La Pavoni Diamante 2 Group Automatic uses a large heat‑exchange (HX) boiler shared across both group heads and the steam wands. The boiler is sized for commercial use and provides enough steam and hot water capacity for typical high‑volume café or restaurant environments, assuming proper installation and power supply.

What power requirements and voltage does the La Pavoni Diamante 2 Group Automatic need in the US?

In the United States, the Diamante 2 Group Automatic generally requires a 220–240V, 50/60 Hz dedicated circuit with sufficient amperage for a commercial espresso machine (often in the 20–30A range, depending on configuration). Always refer to the official technical sheet or consult your electrician and dealer to confirm exact electrical requirements before installation.

Is a water filtration or softening system required to keep the warranty valid?

Most US distributors strongly recommend or require a proper water filtration and/or softening system for the La Pavoni Diamante to maintain warranty coverage. Scale buildup and poor‑quality water are common causes of damage that are not typically covered under warranty, so using treated water is essential for long‑term reliability.

How does paid installation work?

We want to make your purchase as smooth as possible and will pay the installation via rebate on commercial espresso machines. This includes commercial machines with more than 1 group head and 220V.

If the certified installer needed is over 1.5 hours away then we will pay for the installation call (and install up to the value suggested on page minus call fee). Travel will be paid by customer. Inquire if you have any questions about your location.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.

At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.

Which Machines Qualify

Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.

If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.

What's Included

  • Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
  • Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
  • Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
  • Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself

Installation must be completed within 30 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.

How Installation Is Arranged

Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:

Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.

Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.

We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

What's Not Included

The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:

  • Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is your responsibility
  • Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
  • Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
  • Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
  • False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.

Water Filtration Requirement

Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be your responsibility.

If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.

Service Area

Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If your location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain your responsibility.

Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.

After Installation

Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.

Governing Terms

This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.

Can I pick up the machine at your store?

We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.

However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
