Powering Hundreds of Businesses Including:

At some point, you stop looking for a machine that makes good coffee and start looking for one that refuses to make a bad shot. The Vivaldi II belongs to the setup where consistency is the only metric that actually matters. Relying on 1° LED temperature control provides the kind of stability that turns a lucky pull into a repeatable standard. It is a quiet admission that you have outgrown equipment that requires a workaround to get the temperature right.

Product Features

Programmable Passive Pre-Infusion

Programmable Passive Pre-Infusion lets you set pre-infusion from 1 to 8 seconds so you control how much water wets the puck before full pressure—helpful for reducing channeling and improving consistency as you dial in beans. Once set, the machine applies the same pre-infusion automatically every shot.

Dual Boiler System

Separate group and steam boilers let you brew and steam at the same time, keeping group temperature stable during multiple pulls. The Vivaldi II pairs a 0.45 L group boiler with a 2.5 L steam boiler, so you get repeatable extraction and robust steam performance for milk-based drinks.

1° LED Temperature Control

The new LED display reports group temperature in 1-degree increments (91–97°C), giving the fine thermal control needed for precise recipe tuning. Combined with the Programmable Offset Differential—which can align the displayed temperature to the temperature delivered at the group—the Vivaldi II makes temperature adjustments measurable and repeatable.

Dual Manometer

Dual manometers put both boiler and pump pressure on the front panel so you can monitor extraction pressure without adding a portafilter gauge. That immediate visibility speeds troubleshooting and helps you match pressure behavior to grind, dose, or tamp changes.

0.9 mm Four Hole Steam Tip

The standard 0.9 mm four hole steam tip is designed to produce microfoam quickly and reliably, even with small quantities of milk, making texturing faster for latte art and busy service. It’s fitted as standard to help you get consistent milk texture without extra modification.

Bluetooth Connectivity

Bluetooth connectivity was added to the machine software as of December 2021, providing a foundation for remote interactions and software-based configuration. For prosumers who value digital control and future updates, it opens a path to manage settings without opening the machine.

The Coffeeionado Take

Who's It For:

  • Daily home espresso drinkers pulling 4–20 drinks — The 2.5L steam boiler and rotary pump handle a full household of lattes without breaking stride
  • Home users upgrading from entry-level espresso — PID control and volumetric dosing deliver consistency without requiring temperature surfing skills
  • Small office or B&B coffee programs — Direct plumbing and quiet rotary pump make it suitable for a shared workspace

Right For You If:

  • You are pulling 4–20 drinks daily and want a plumbed-in machine that eliminates reservoir refills entirely.
  • You want a 53mm portafilter system with commercial La Spaziale roots and do not need 58mm accessory compatibility.
  • Your setup has a dedicated water line with filtration — this machine is direct-plumb only.

Things to Consider:

  • The 53mm portafilter is non-standard for home espresso — your existing 58mm baskets and accessories will not work, and the accessory ecosystem is smaller.
  • The 0.45L brew boiler is sized for home use; if you are pulling 10+ consecutive espresso shots, recovery will slow down.
  • No shot timer — you will need to track extraction time yourself or add a scale with a built-in timer.

Our Take:

The Vivaldi II is La Spaziale is proven workhorse — it has been the go-to plumbed-in dual boiler for home baristas and small offices for years, and for good reason: it just works. If you want a machine that delivers consistent results day after day without the drama of temperature surfing or reservoir refills, this is one of the most reliable platforms on the market.

S1 Vivaldi II Espresso Machine by

La Spaziale

Barista-worthy beverages can be made right in your kitchen with the S1 Vivaldi Professional Espresso machine. Its sleek, compact design sits at just 15” high, making it easy to tuck away on your counter-tops, but it’s such an attractive appliance you may just want to make this best-seller a centerpiece. Its customizable panels makes it a crowd favorite.

The Vivaldi comes as a plumb-in only machine that features 53 mm portafilters, which are a little deeper than normal thus making up the difference from the standard 58 mm. Overall it is super easy to use with its programmable volumetric shot and temperature controls, dialing in and keeping consistent shots has never been easier.

Dual Boiler for Thermostability

The Vivaldi comes as a dual boiler system and is solidly built from steel and is more than aesthetically pleasing, this machine works extremely quiet with its rotary pump and delivers excellent shots. Because it is a double boiler espresso machine, the Vivaldi is a wonderful tool for both traditional espresso and milk based drinks and it is a quiet worker. It comes with a standard nickel plated, brass top, copper boilers.

Passive Pre-Infusion (Programmable)

The La Spaziale S1 Vivaldi II comes equipped with an incredible feature – the ability to program Passive Pre Infusion for a customized experience, ranging from 1 to 8 seconds. This isn't your average pre-infusion; it's the same advanced technology found in some of the most luxurious machines on the market. The difference? You're in control. Unlike E61 machines, where pre-infusion is out of your hands, here, you determine the duration and water volume for the perfect brew.

Tailor it to your taste preferences and coffee type, set it once, and forget about it. Brewing perfection is just a button press away.

Great Starter Machine

Whether at home or in shop this sleek, conversation starter will quickly and quietly perform. This is the perfect home or small cafe machine (Safety Listing ✔), it has all the features you could possibly need to consistently keep pulling great tasting shots.

Updated LED Temperature Controls

You used to see the temperature in 5-degree steps, ranging from 85 to 120 degrees Celsius. But now with the updated Vivaldi II, you can view it in precise 1-degree intervals, from 91 to 97 degrees Celsius.

Decreased Delta in Temperature Regulation

When it comes to regulating temperature, the Delta has been reduced. So, what does this mean for you? Well, in the old model, the heater would only kick in when there was a one-degree Celsius drop in temperature. But with the new Vivaldi II, the heater springs into action at just half a degree drop. In simpler terms, this upgrade boosts precision in maintaining temperature in the group boiler and amps up performance in the steam boilers. Also, there's an improved temperature sensor probe now - it's fully immersed in the boilers for better reliability and quicker response times compared to its predecessor.

Programmable Offset Differential

You can now easily adjust the LED temperature display on the front of the machine to match the actual temperature at the group, rather than inside the group boiler. The older Mini Vivaldi II machines had a limited 3-degree adjustment for this feature. However, we decided to expand this range to +/- 8 degrees through a simple software update to ensure there are no issues. Rest assured, we set this offset during our bench tests before shipping each machine, saving you from needing costly equipment for testing and adjustments.

Dual Manometers

You'll find dual manometers on espresso machines for monitoring brew and steam pressure. The brew pressure gauge checks the resistance from the coffee grounds in the filter basket when the pump is running to ensure optimal extraction. Meanwhile, the steam pressure gauge on heat exchange or dual boiler machines shows the boiler's steam pressure for safety, usually rated at 2.0 bar for structural integrity.

Bluetooth Connected

With Bluetooth connectivity, you can easily control the scheduling of warm up times and monitor the machine and adjust it from a distance.

How to set up La Spaziale Bluetooth:

  1. Ensure your espresso machine is available for Bluetooth connection and has a USB port.
  2. Download the La Spaziale app (machine appropriate) from the Apple or Google store.
  3. Ope the app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your espresso machine to your smartphone or tablet.
  4. Once connected, you can use the app to remotely control the machine.

Programmable Dosing Volume

At the touch of a button you can extract your programmed shot. Let your baristas concentrate on other tasks while the espresso maker automatically pulls your shots. Easily program up to 4 different recipes and there is also a button for manual shots too.

Commercial Version

This espresso machine is designed to meet the demands of commercial environments, delivering consistent performance and reliability in cafés, restaurants, or office settings. It comes with a 1-year warranty covering both parts and labor, giving you peace of mind as you serve high-quality espresso day after day.

Water Quality & Machine Protection

Proper water quality is essential for optimal espresso extraction and long-term machine health. Use the guidelines below to ensure your machine performs at its best.

Parameter Ideal Range Why It Matters
Total Hardness 50-170 ppm Prevents scale buildup while maintaining flavor
pH Level 6.5-7.5 Ensures balanced extraction and protects internal components
Chlorine 0 ppm Eliminates off-flavors and prevents corrosion
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) 70-150 ppm Optimal mineral content for extraction and taste
Total Alkalinity ~7.0 Stabilizes acidity and extraction
Chloride 0-28 ppm Prevents corrosion (especially in steel boilers)

Important Note

Always refer to your machine's manual for specific water quality recommendations and maintenance schedules.

Advisory

Install a water filtration system to maintain consistent water quality and extend the life of your espresso machine.

What This Means

  • Water that’s too hard → scale buildup, reduced performance
  • Water that’s too soft → flat, dull espresso
  • Improper water can damage internal components over time

Machine-Specific Considerations

  • These guidelines are safe for most home espresso machines
  • Some machines (especially with stainless steel boilers) require stricter limits on chlorides

Product FAQ

Is the La Spaziale S1 Vivaldi II a direct‑plumbed machine or does it use a water reservoir?

The La Spaziale S1 Vivaldi II is designed as a direct‑plumbed machine and connects to your home or cafe water line. It does not use a removable water reservoir, so you’ll need access to a water line and shut‑off valve where the machine will be installed.

Does the S1 Vivaldi II have a rotary pump or a vibratory pump, and how loud is it?

The S1 Vivaldi II uses a vibratory pump, not a rotary pump. Noise is moderate—quieter than many entry‑level single‑boiler machines, but louder than most rotary‑pump prosumer machines. Proper installation on a stable counter and using the rubber feet helps minimize vibration noise.

Does this machine have pre‑infusion and can I adjust it?

Yes. The S1 Vivaldi II offers programmable pre‑infusion when plumbed to a line with the optional pre‑infusion chamber or line‑pressure pre‑infusion. On the control panel, you can program the pre‑infusion duration (within a limited time range) as part of each volumetric dose profile.

Is the steam wand no‑burn or cool‑touch, and does it have good steaming power for milk drinks?

The standard steam wand is an articulated, no‑burn style wand that stays cooler to the touch than traditional wands, though the tip still gets hot. The 2.5 L steam boiler delivers strong, dry steam suitable for quickly texturing milk for multiple cappuccinos and lattes in a row.

What kind of power and outlet does the La Spaziale S1 Vivaldi II require in the US?

The US version of the S1 Vivaldi II typically requires a 110–120 V, 20‑amp dedicated circuit and uses a NEMA 5‑20R outlet (horizontal neutral prong). Always confirm the electrical specs on the specific model label and consult an electrician if you’re unsure about your circuit capacity.

Is the brew temperature adjustable and how is temperature stability on this machine?

Yes. The S1 Vivaldi II has an electronically controlled dual‑boiler system with programmable brew temperature in 1°F increments within a specific range. Once warmed up, it provides very stable brew temperatures shot to shot, which helps with consistency and dialing in different coffees.

Does the S1 Vivaldi II have volumetric dosing for shots, and can I save multiple shot volumes?

The machine features volumetric dosing with programmable shot volumes. You can program separate volumes for a single and a double button on the front panel, allowing you to save your preferred extraction volumes for consistent shots at the touch of a button.

What type and size of portafilter and baskets does the machine use, and are they standard 58 mm?

The La Spaziale S1 Vivaldi II uses a 53 mm commercial‑style portafilter system, not a 58 mm E61‑style. It normally ships with at least one single and one double basket in the 53 mm size. Third‑party 53 mm tampers and baskets are widely available, but 58 mm accessories will not fit.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.

At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.

Which Machines Qualify

Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.

If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.

What's Included

  • Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
  • Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
  • Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
  • Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself

Installation must be completed within 30 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.

How Installation Is Arranged

Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:

Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.

Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.

We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

What's Not Included

The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:

  • Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is your responsibility
  • Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
  • Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
  • Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
  • False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.

Water Filtration Requirement

Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be your responsibility.

If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.

Service Area

Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If your location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain your responsibility.

Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.

After Installation

Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.

Governing Terms

This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.

Can I pick up the machine at your store?

We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.

However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
