Powering Hundreds of Businesses Including:

The moment arrives when you stop chasing a great shot by accident and start expecting it by design. This machine is built for the transition from hobbyist to operator, where the goal is a workflow that remains stable even when the morning gets crowded. Integrating a 3.5" RGB touchscreen into the process means you spend less time interpreting flashing lights and more time monitoring the variables that actually change the flavor in the cup. It is time to stop compensating for your hardware and start relying on it.

Product Features

True Dual Boilers

Separate boilers for coffee (.45 L) and steam (2.5 L) let you brew and steam simultaneously with on-demand steam and hot water. Both the steam boiler and grouphead can be independently deactivated and the Eco boiler function lowers energy use when full steam capacity isn’t needed.

PID Temperature Control

Electronic PID control gives independent regulation of the group temperature so you can lock in stable brew temps shot after shot. For a prosumer dialing in single-origin or blended espresso, the PID's precise control reduces temperature drift and preserves extraction consistency.

3.5" RGB Touchscreen

The 3.5" RGB graphic touchscreen puts programming, monitoring and maintenance alerts at your fingertips — program volumetric doses, watch extraction progress via an LED indicator, and receive resin replacement notifications. The display is also pin-activated for locked settings and accepts custom logos for a professional touch.

Volumetric Dosing & Shot Timers

Volumetric dosing with single, double and manual dose options coupled with built-in shot timers ensures repeatable, measurable extractions for every recipe. This combination makes dialing in consistent yields and timing straightforward across different grinders and beans.

Plumbed Version: Rotary Pump & Pressure Gauges

The plumbed S11 Brio includes a built-in rotary pump and pressure gauges for pump and water mains pressure to maintain steady supply pressure during heavy use. The plumbed model also carries NSF and ETL certifications for pro settings.

Serviceable, Upgradable Design

Firmware is upgradable via USB and the machine reports malfunction alarms and maintenance needs, helping protect your investment and avoid downtime. Thoughtful ergonomics like the upper heated cup tray (15-cup capacity) and separate drip trays speed workflow and simplify service.

The Coffeeionado Take

Who's It For:

  • Daily home espresso drinkers pulling 4–20 drinks — The 2.5L steam boiler and rotary pump handle a full household of lattes without breaking stride
  • Small office or B&B coffee programs — The touchscreen, programmable shots, and direct plumbing make it operator-friendly enough for non-enthusiasts to use
  • Home users upgrading from entry-level espresso — The proprietary grouphead and PID deliver consistent extraction without requiring you to manage temperature yourself

Right For You If:

  • You are making 4–20 drinks daily and want a machine that recovers fast enough to keep up with a busy morning.
  • You have a dedicated water line (or plan to plumb in) — this machine is built for direct plumbing.
  • You want a 53mm portafilter system with commercial roots and do not need 58mm accessory compatibility.

Things to Consider:

  • The 53mm portafilter means your existing 58mm baskets and accessories will not carry over — factor that into the total cost if you are switching formats.
  • The 0.45L brew boiler is on the smaller side for a dual boiler; back-to-back straight espresso shots will see slightly longer recovery than machines with larger brew boilers.
  • Warm-up of 25–45 minutes is longer than compact dual boilers — plan accordingly or use a timer.

Our Take:

The S1 Brio is La Spaziale packing serious commercial DNA into a machine that actually fits on a home counter — the 2.5L steam boiler is the real story here, giving you steam capacity that most prosumer machines cannot touch. If you are running a small office or a B&B and need a machine that non-enthusiasts can operate without training, the touchscreen and volumetric dosing make this a smart pick.

Overall, it is super easy to use with its programmable volumetric shot and temperature controls. Because it is a double boiler espresso machine, this machine is a wonderful tool for both traditional espresso and milk-based drinks, and it is a quiet worker.

PID Temperature Control

A PID controller in an espresso machine ensures precise temperature control, which is essential for consistently great espresso. Without it, water temperature can fluctuate, leading to inconsistent flavors. A PID constantly monitors and adjusts the heat, keeping it stable throughout the brewing process. This results in more reliable espresso shots, better flavor extraction, and improved control for the user.

Many PID espresso machines allow you to set a specific temperature, giving you the ability to fine-tune your coffee to preference. Additionally, a PID helps the machine heat up faster and recover more quickly between shots, making the brewing process smoother and more efficient.

Volumetric Pump

When using espresso machines with volumetric pumps, you benefit from their precision. These pumps guarantee accurate water-to-coffee ratios, a key factor in making great espresso. They also save you time by automatically stopping the shot at the perfect moment, allowing you to focus on other tasks. The consistent water volumes provided by volumetric pumps ensure uniform flavor profiles every time. This is why many commercial machines rely on them for their efficiency and reliability.

Rotary Pump (for Direct Plumbed version)

Rotary pumps bring numerous benefits to espresso machines. They provide a steady pressure throughout the extraction process, ensuring consistent flavor in every shot of espresso. Additionally, they operate quietly, making them perfect for enjoying coffee without disturbing others during early mornings or late nights.

With a lifespan of up to 15 years, rotary pumps are durable and reliable, making them ideal for commercial use. Moreover, they can maintain higher pressure levels than vibration pumps, crucial for maintaining consistent brewing temperatures and enhancing espresso quality. Lastly, rotary pumps require minimal maintenance, adding to their appeal for espresso machine users.

    Water Quality & Machine Protection

Proper water quality is essential for optimal espresso extraction and long-term machine health. Use the guidelines below to ensure your machine performs at its best.

Parameter Ideal Range Why It Matters
Total Hardness 50-170 ppm Prevents scale buildup while maintaining flavor
pH Level 6.5-7.5 Ensures balanced extraction and protects internal components
Chlorine 0 ppm Eliminates off-flavors and prevents corrosion
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) 70-150 ppm Optimal mineral content for extraction and taste
Total Alkalinity ~7.0 Stabilizes acidity and extraction
Chloride 0-28 ppm Prevents corrosion (especially in steel boilers)

    Important Note

Always refer to your machine's manual for specific water quality recommendations and maintenance schedules.

    Advisory

Install a water filtration system to maintain consistent water quality and extend the life of your espresso machine.

    What This Means

    • Water that’s too hard → scale buildup, reduced performance
    • Water that’s too soft → flat, dull espresso
    • Improper water can damage internal components over time

    Machine-Specific Considerations

    • Some machines (especially with stainless steel boilers) require stricter limits on chlorides

    Product FAQ

Does the La Spaziale S11 Brio use a rotary pump, and how loud is it during operation?

Yes. The La Spaziale S11 Brio is built with a commercial‑grade rotary pump, which is quieter and more durable than a vibration pump. Noise levels are generally comparable to other commercial espresso machines and are suitable for café, restaurant, and office environments.

Is the S11 Brio a direct‑plumbed machine, or can it run from an internal water tank?

The S11 Brio is designed as a direct‑plumbed (hard‑line) espresso machine and is intended to be connected to a water line. It does not typically include a large internal water tank for stand‑alone use, so proper plumbing and, ideally, filtration are recommended for installation.

Does the La Spaziale S11 Brio have pre‑infusion and can it be adjusted?

Yes. The S11 Brio offers programmable pre‑infusion to gently saturate the coffee puck before full‑pressure extraction. Pre‑infusion time and shot parameters can be adjusted through the machine’s digital interface to fine‑tune extraction for different coffees.

Does the S11 Brio come with cool‑touch (no‑burn) steam wands and how many steam wands does it have?

Most S11 Brio configurations include insulated, cool‑touch steam wands that stay significantly cooler to the touch and reduce milk buildup. The standard commercial setup typically features two steam wands, but the exact configuration can vary by model (1‑group vs 2‑group) and distributor.

    Is the S11 Brio a single‑boiler, heat‑exchange, or dual‑boiler espresso machine?

The La Spaziale S11 Brio is a commercial multi‑boiler machine. It uses a dedicated boiler system for brewing and a separate steam boiler, allowing it to pull shots and steam milk simultaneously with excellent temperature stability.

What kind of power and voltage does the La Spaziale S11 Brio require in the US?

US configurations of the S11 Brio typically require 208–240V power on a dedicated circuit, with amperage depending on the number of groups and specific model (often 20–30 amps for 1‑group and higher for multi‑group versions). Always verify the exact electrical specs on the machine’s data plate and consult an electrician before installation.

Does the S11 Brio have volumetric dosing and programmable shot buttons?

Yes. The S11 Brio is a volumetric espresso machine with programmable dosing. Each group head offers multiple programmable buttons (e.g., single, double, and custom volumes), plus a manual button, so baristas can store consistent shot recipes and improve speed and repeatability.

Can the brew temperature and other parameters be adjusted through a touchscreen or digital interface?

Yes. The S11 Brio features a digital control panel that allows you to adjust brew temperature, boiler temperatures, pre‑infusion, shot volumes, and other parameters. Many versions also offer advanced menus for diagnostics, cleaning cycles, and basic system settings.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.

At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.

    Which Machines Qualify

Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.

If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.

    What's Included

    • Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
    • Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
    • Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
    • Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself

Installation must be completed within 30 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.

    How Installation Is Arranged

Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:

Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.

Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.

We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

    What's Not Included

The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:

    • Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is your responsibility
    • Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
    • Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
    • Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
    • False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.

    Water Filtration Requirement

Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be your responsibility.

If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.

    Service Area

Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If your location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain your responsibility.

Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.

    After Installation

Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.

    Governing Terms

This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.

Can I pick up the machine at your store?

We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.

However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
