and hundreds of cafés, restaurants and offices.

Two groups solve the throughput problem the ES60 was never meant to fix. The Magister ES70 Stilo takes the same heat-exchange boiler, volumetric pump, and touch-pad programmable dosing that make the single-group Stilo work, and doubles the brewing capacity to match a busier bar. It's the same commercial-grade internals scaled to a genuine two-barista workflow, so a café or counter that's outgrown one group gets real parallel output without jumping to a high-volume multi-group machine sized for triple the space and price.

Product Features

Two Volumetric Groups

Volumetric touch-pad dosing sets four programmable doses per group plus continuous brew, on both groups independently, from 0 to 3000cc. Once it's calibrated, every barista pulls the identical shot -- no manual timing, no drift between shifts or stations.

4.9 L Heat-Exchange Boiler

A genuine heat-exchange boiler (4.9L) gives the ES70 Stilo enough thermal mass to run two groups through a real rush without losing steam power or brew temperature between pulls.

Direct-Plumb Auto-Fill

Direct-plumb electronic auto-fill feeds the boiler straight from your water line, with built-in low-water protection. There's no reservoir to babysit or refill mid-rush -- just a dedicated line running two groups at once.

Rotary Pump

An inbuilt volumetric pump with balanced by-pass and a stainless steel body give the ES70 the durability of a full commercial machine, built for two baristas working a real daily rush.

Programmable Hot Water

Standard cup clearance is approximately 85 mm. A lowered 135 mm tall-cup version is available by factory request and should be confirmed before ordering.

Compact Two-Group Chassis

The inbuilt volumetric rotary pump uses a balanced by-pass to deliver steady pressure across a two-group commercial workflow.

Our honest read

The Coffeeionado Take

Straight answers, before you buy.

Who's It For

  • Café and restaurant owners running two baristas in parallel during a rush who've outgrown a single-group setup.
  • Multi-unit operators standardizing on volumetric, programmable dosing across busier locations, so every group pulls the same shot.
  • Coffee shops and counters with an existing direct water line who need real two-group throughput without a full-size, high-volume commercial rig.
  • Anyone upgrading from an ES60 as volume grows and one group can no longer keep the line moving.

It's Right For You If

  • You need two groups running at once -- a single-group machine leaves you queuing customers during your busiest hours.
  • You've got a water line available and want the reliability of direct-plumb without reservoir refills breaking up service.
  • You want commercial-grade internals -- heat exchange boiler, volumetric pump, stainless build -- without paying for a third group you won't use.
  • Counter space matters, but you still need tall-cup clearance for real cups, not just demitasses.

Things to Consider

  • The ES70 Stilo is direct-plumb only -- there's no reservoir option, so you'll need a dedicated water line and drain before installation.
  • It ships with a single steam wand despite having two groups, so simultaneous milk steaming for two drinks at once isn't possible on this unit.
  • At 2700W, this machine draws considerably more power than the ES60 -- confirm your electrical setup can support it before ordering, and choose the 110-120V or 220-240V configuration that matches your panel.
  • Volumetric dosing needs recalibrating when you change beans or adjust your dose on either group -- budget a few minutes at the start of a new bag.

Our Take

The ES70 Stilo is the practical next step once one group stops being enough. You're not paying for a third group or a high-volume multi-boiler rig -- you're getting the same heat-exchange boiler and volumetric pump architecture as the ES60, scaled to genuinely run two baristas side by side. If your rush regularly backs up behind a single group, this is the upgrade that fixes it without overshooting your actual volume.

Magister ES70 Stilo 2 Group Commercial Espresso Machine

The ES70 Stilo scales the same commercial internals that make the ES60 work -- a genuine boiler, a volumetric pump, programmable dosing -- up to a true two-group footprint. It's built for the bar where a single group can't keep up, so you get real double-group throughput without stepping up to a machine sized for high-volume, multi-barista service.

Warranty

When investing in coffee equipment, peace of mind is worth its weight in gold. That's why we proudly offer a 2-year parts warranty with every commercial coffee machine purchase. This warranty is your guarantee against manufacturer's defects and ensures that all parts are covered for two years from the date of purchase.

Don't let uncertainty overshadow your love for freshly brewed coffee -- take advantage of this limited-time offer and experience unparalleled assurance with your next coffee machine purchase.

Paid Shipping

At Coffeeionado, we understand the frustration of hidden costs when making online purchases. This is why we're thrilled to announce that we now cover all shipping, freight, and handling charges for our premium coffee equipment. Gone are the days of considering additional fees as you add items to your cart.

Volumetric Programmable Dosing

Four programmable doses per group plus continuous brewing, set from volumetric touch pads (0 to 3000cc) on each group. Once it's dialed in, every barista pulls the same pour across both groups -- no manual timing, no drift between shifts or between group heads.

Direct-Plumb Reliability

An electronic auto-fill system feeds the boiler straight from your water line, with built-in protection against a low-water condition. No reservoir to babysit or refill mid-rush -- just a dedicated water line and you're running two groups at once.

Two-Group Commercial Build

A stainless steel body, an inbuilt volumetric pump with balanced by-pass, and a safety thermostat give you the durability of a full commercial machine built to run two groups through real daily volume -- a step up from the ES60 for a café or counter that needs two baristas working in parallel.

Standard and Optional Cup Clearance

Standard group clearance is approximately 85 mm (3.35 inches). Magister also offers a lowered factory tall-cup version for vessels up to 135 mm; confirm that optional configuration before ordering.

Water Quality & Machine Protection

Proper water quality is essential for optimal espresso extraction and long-term machine health. Use the guidelines below to ensure your machine performs at its best.

Parameter Ideal Range Why It Matters
Total Hardness 50-170 ppm Prevents scale buildup while maintaining flavor
pH Level 6.5-7.5 Ensures balanced extraction and protects internal components
Chlorine 0 ppm Eliminates off-flavors and prevents corrosion
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) 70-150 ppm Optimal mineral content for extraction and taste
Total Alkalinity ~7.0 Stabilizes acidity and extraction
Chloride 0-28 ppm Prevents corrosion (especially in steel boilers)

Important Note

Always refer to your machine's manual for specific water quality recommendations and maintenance schedules.

Advisory

Install a water filtration system to maintain consistent water quality and extend the life of your espresso machine.

What This Means

  • Water that’s too hard → scale buildup, reduced performance
  • Water that’s too soft → flat, dull espresso
  • Improper water can damage internal components over time

Machine-Specific Considerations

  • Some machines (especially with stainless steel boilers) require stricter limits on chlorides

Product FAQ

Is the ES70 Stilo direct-plumb only, or can it run from a water reservoir?

Direct-plumb only -- there's no reservoir option on this model. You'll need a dedicated water line and drain in place before installation; it's not a countertop plug-and-go machine.

Can I brew espresso and steam milk on the ES70 Stilo at the same time?

Yes. It's a heat-exchange machine, so the single 4.9L boiler handles brewing on both groups and steaming simultaneously -- you're not switching between modes mid-order.

How does the dosing work across two groups, and how often do I need to recalibrate it?

Each group has its own touch pad with four programmable doses plus a continuous-brew option, from 0 to 3000cc. Plan on a quick recalibration on each group whenever you change beans or adjust your dose -- once it's dialed in, every pull on both groups matches.

It only comes with one steam wand -- is that a problem with two groups?

It can be a bottleneck if you regularly need to steam for two drinks at the exact same moment. The two groups let both baristas pull shots in parallel, but they'll share the single wand for milk, so plan your workflow around that if simultaneous steaming is common during your rush.

What's the difference between the 110-120V and 220-240V versions, and which one do I need?

The 110–120V configuration is rated at 2400W; the 220–240V configuration is rated at 2700W. Choose the version that matches the dedicated circuit specified by your installer.

Does the ES70 include pre-infusion?

A pre-infusion valve is optional factory equipment rather than a standard feature. Confirm it on the order if your workflow requires it.

Are a powered cup warmer and hot-water mixer included?

They are optional accessories on the ES70, not standard equipment. Confirm either option when specifying the machine.

What is the standard cup clearance?

Standard clearance is approximately 85 mm. Magister offers a lowered tall-cup version for vessels up to 135 mm as an optional factory configuration.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.

At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.

Which Machines Qualify

Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.

If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.

What's Included

  • Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
  • Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
  • Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
  • Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself

Installation must be completed within 90 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.

How Installation Is Arranged

Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:

Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.

Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.

We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

What's Not Included

The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:

  • Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is the customer's responsibility
  • Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
  • Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
  • Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
  • False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.

Water Filtration Requirement

Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be the customer's responsibility.

If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.

Service Area

Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If the customer's location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain the customer's responsibility.

Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.

What to Expect on Install Day

Getting a commercial espresso machine delivered is one thing. Getting it actually running — plumbed, programmed, and pulling properly — is another. Here's what happens when the technician comes out.

Before the appointment: Site preparation will be confirmed before technicians make it out. Once your machine ships, we'll coordinate scheduling with you and assign a local certified technician. Before they arrive, make sure your space is ready: the machine's permanent location should be determined, your water line and drain access should be in place, and your electrical supply should match the machine's requirements.

On the day The technician will handle the physical installation of the machine — positioning, water line connection, and drain setup. Once it's plumbed and powered, they'll run through the setup and basic programming: boiler pressure, shot parameters, and confirming that water flows correctly through the group heads and steam wands. Some basic training will be provided, they'll pull test shots to verify the machine is operating within spec.

After Installation

Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.

Governing Terms

This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.

Can I pick up the machine at your store?

We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.

However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
