Powering Hundreds of Businesses Including:

You’ve reached the point where "close enough" no longer works for your espresso, and you need a grinder that shares that level of obsession. The Mazzer Super Jolly V Up isn't trying to be the flashy centerpiece of your counter; it’s designed to be the heavy, predictable anchor of a serious workflow. Its stepless micrometrical adjustment means you're finally done fighting with pre-set notches that never quite land where the roast needs them to be. You're no longer just making coffee—you're managing a process that finally has the right foundation.

Product Features

Stepless Micrometrical Adjustment

Stepless Micrometrical grind adjustment gives precise control across the espresso range so you can dial recipes and return to them reliably between roasts. Micro adjustments let baristas react quickly to changes in humidity, roast level, or dose without sacrificing consistency.

64mm Flat Burrs

Flat Burrs with 64mm hardened high-carbon steel burrs produce a narrow particle distribution for more uniform grind size and more even extraction. The large flat burrs also increase dosing speed by about 20%, helping maintain throughput during busy service.

Commercial-Grade Motor

A high-torque motor is built to handle continuous commercial loads without heat buildup, delivering consistent particle size across a full day of service. Specs include 350W power with burr speeds of 1400 RPM (50Hz) / 1600 RPM (60Hz), suited for high-volume environments.

Grind Flow Control (GFC) System

The Grind Flow Control (GFC) System reduces electrostatic charge to minimize spillage and clumping, keeping the work area cleaner and dosing more reliable. That means less waste and faster, neater service during busy shifts.

Coffee Saving Technology

Low-retention Coffee Saving Technology reduces grounds left in the chamber when you change settings, saving coffee and time each time you adjust dosing or grind size. This is especially valuable when switching between blends or single-origin pulls during service.

Premium Recyclable Construction

Constructed from roughly 93% premium materials—stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and copper—the grinder is built for durability and long service life. Components are recyclable, making the unit a more sustainable choice for high-use commercial operations.

The Coffeeionado Take

Who's It For:

  • Home Baristas Ready to Step Up — If your current grinder is holding back your espresso, the 64mm flat steel burrs and stepless micrometric adjustment offer the precision to actually taste the difference
  • Small Offices & Light Commercial Use — At 2.5 g/sec, this grinder handles a busy morning rush for a small office or low-volume café without breaking a sweat
  • Italian-Made Purists — Manufactured in Italy with the build quality that implies. For those who value proven engineering pedigree

It's Right For You If:

  • You want prosumer-grade grinding with 64mm flat steel burrs large enough to produce uniform particles without excessive heat — the kind of consistency that shows up in the cup.
  • The stepless grind adjustment gives you infinite control over particle size, so you can chase that perfect extraction without being locked into preset steps.

Things to Consider:

  • There's no built-in grind-by-weight — the three presets are timed, not weighed, so if you want gram-accurate dosing you'll still want a scale on the counter.
  • Being doserless means every shot is ground fresh on demand — great for flavor, but it also means the grinder can't pre-stage doses ahead of a rush the way a doser-based machine like the Timer version can.
  • At roughly 23.5 inches tall with the standard hopper, it may not clear typical US kitchen cabinets — check your clearance before buying for a built-in counter.

Our Take:

The Mazzer Super Jolly V Up Electronic Coffee Grinder is a well-built prosumer grinder with 64mm flat steel burrs that punch above their size class. A solid choice for home baristas who want café-quality espresso without café-sized equipment.

Mazzer Super Jolly V Up Electronic (On-Demand) Espresso Grinder

The Super Jolly V Up Electronic is the doserless sibling to Mazzer's classic Super Jolly: instead of grinding into a doser chamber that holds pre-ground coffee, it grinds fresh, on demand, straight into your portafilter for every shot. Lock the portafilter into the fork and the grinder starts automatically, stopping at one of three programmable presets — single, double, or manual — so you get a freshly ground, precisely dosed shot every time, with none of the staling or clumping that comes from grounds sitting in a doser bin.

Underneath that on-demand system is the same commercial core the Super Jolly is known for: 64mm hardened high-carbon steel flat burrs, stepless micrometric adjustment, and a die-cast aluminum body built to run daily service without drifting off its dial-in.

2 Year Warranty ($199+ Value)

When investing in coffee equipment, peace of mind is worth its weight in gold. That's why we back every commercial Mazzer grinder with a 2-year parts warranty, a value of over $199. It's your guarantee against manufacturer's defects, so all parts are covered from the date of purchase. We understand that our customers deserve the very best.

Paid Shipping

We believe in taking care of our customers, and that starts before the machine even arrives. Ships free to all 48 contiguous states. For Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, or international destinations, reach out and we'll work out the best option.

On-Demand, Doserless Grinding

There's no doser chamber sitting between the burrs and your portafilter — every dose is ground fresh, on the spot, the moment you lock the portafilter into the fork. That means better aromatics in the cup than coffee that's been resting in a doser bin, and one less part of the machine sitting half-full of yesterday's grounds at closing time.

Three Programmable Dose Presets

Set single, double, and manual presets from the control panel and the grinder stops automatically once each is reached, so dosing stays consistent shift to shift without a barista having to eyeball it. Manual mode is there when you want to grind exactly as long as you choose.

Stepless Micrometric Adjustment

Instead of fixed click-stops, a rotating collar gives you infinite grind size control — fine enough to correct for a new bag of beans or a shift in humidity without jumping between coarse steps.

64mm Hardened High-Carbon Steel Burrs

Precision-machined in Italy, these flat burrs hold their edge through heavy daily use and deliver the even particle distribution that consistent extraction depends on — with a grind flow outlet designed to reduce electrostatic clumping as grounds drop into the basket.

Dual Fan Cooling

Two active cooling fans keep the motor and burr chamber from building up heat during back-to-back grinding — useful given the higher grind speed this model runs (roughly 2.5-3.0 g/sec) compared to the doser-based Timer version.

About Mazzer

Founded in the late 1940s outside Venice, Italy, Mazzer has spent decades supplying gourmet roasters and cafe owners with grinders that set the benchmark for the industry. The Super Jolly, in particular, has become the grinder most commercial kitchens picture when they picture "a Mazzer" — proven, serviceable, and built to outlast a lot of newer designs.

Product FAQ

Is the Mazzer Super Jolly V Up Electronic a stepless grinder, and how precise are the grind adjustments?

Yes. The Super Jolly V Up Electronic uses a stepless micrometric adjustment collar, allowing you to fine‑tune grind size with very small increments. This level of control is ideal for dialing in espresso shots accurately in professional or serious home setups.

What brewing methods is this grinder best suited for? Can it do both espresso and filter coffee?

The Super Jolly V Up is optimized for espresso and works best in that range. While you can adjust it coarser for moka pot or some manual brewers, it’s primarily designed as an espresso grinder and is not ideal as a dedicated filter/Batch brew grinder, especially if you switch back and forth frequently.

What type and size of burrs does the Mazzer Super Jolly V Up Electronic use, and are they flat or conical?

It uses flat steel burrs, 64 mm in diameter. These are Mazzer’s commercial‑grade burrs designed for consistent particle size distribution and stable espresso extraction. Replacement compatible burr sets are widely available due to the popular 64 mm format.

How long do the burrs last, and how often should I replace them?

Burr life depends on usage and coffee type, but in typical café or high‑volume use, Mazzer 64 mm burrs are often rated for roughly 700–1,000 kg of coffee before noticeable performance loss. In a lower‑volume environment, this can translate to several years. You should replace the burrs when you see slower grinding, more clumping, or difficulty achieving consistent shot times even after dialing in.

Is the dosing timed, manual, or grind‑by‑weight on the Super Jolly V Up Electronic?

The Super Jolly V Up Electronic is a timed‑dosing grinder with programmable single and double shot doses on the control panel, plus a manual/grind‑on‑demand mode. It does not have built‑in grind‑by‑weight functionality; you’ll need an external scale if you prefer weight‑based dosing.

Is the grinder hands‑free, and what kind of portafilter holder does it have?

Yes. It’s designed for hands‑free operation with an adjustable portafilter fork/holder. You can lock the portafilter into the fork and start the dose, allowing you to use your other hand for puck prep or other tasks while it grinds directly into the basket.

How fast is the Super Jolly V Up Electronic, and can it keep up with a high volume of drinks?

Grind speed will vary with grind setting and bean type, but a 64 mm flat‑burr Mazzer like the Super Jolly V Up typically grinds a standard espresso dose (around 18 g) in a few seconds. It’s designed for professional use and can comfortably keep up with a busy coffee bar, restaurant, or high‑throughput office, as long as it’s maintained and calibrated properly.

Does the Mazzer Super Jolly V Up Electronic have a cooling fan or any features to manage heat during heavy use?

The Super Jolly line is built with a robust motor, metal body, and burr chamber that dissipate heat efficiently for continuous operation. Specific fan implementation can vary by model/update; this version is engineered to handle sustained commercial use without overheating when operated within normal duty cycles. For exact thermal management details, refer to the current technical specifications or manual.

How does free installation work?

We want to make your purchase as smooth as possible and will pay the installation via rebate on commercial espresso machines. This includes commercial machines with more than 1 group head and 220V.

If the certified installer needed is over 1.5 hours away then we will pay for the installation call (and install up to the value suggested on page minus call fee). Travel will be paid by customer. Inquire if you have any questions about your location.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.

At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.

Which Machines Qualify

Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.

If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.

What's Included

  • Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
  • Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
  • Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
  • Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself

Installation must be completed within 90 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.

How Installation Is Arranged

Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:

Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.

Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.

We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

What's Not Included

The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:

  • Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is the customer's responsibility
  • Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
  • Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
  • Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
  • False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.

Water Filtration Requirement

Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be the customer's responsibility.

If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.

Service Area

Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If the customer's location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain the customer's responsibility.

Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.

What to Expect on Install Day

Getting a commercial espresso machine delivered is one thing. Getting it actually running — plumbed, programmed, and pulling properly — is another. Here's what happens when the technician comes out.

Before the appointment: Site preparation will be confirmed before technicians make it out. Once your machine ships, we'll coordinate scheduling with you and assign a local certified technician. Before they arrive, make sure your space is ready: the machine's permanent location should be determined, your water line and drain access should be in place, and your electrical supply should match the machine's requirements.

On the day The technician will handle the physical installation of the machine — positioning, water line connection, and drain setup. Once it's plumbed and powered, they'll run through the setup and basic programming: boiler pressure, shot parameters, and confirming that water flows correctly through the group heads and steam wands. Some basic training will be provided, they'll pull test shots to verify the machine is operating within spec.

After Installation

Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.

Governing Terms

This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.

Can I pick up the machine at your store?

We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.

However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
