and hundreds of cafés, restaurants and offices.

The Eureka Mignon Specialità combines 55 mm flat hardened-steel burrs with stepless micrometric adjustment, quiet operation, and two programmable timed doses plus continuous mode. It is an all-purpose home grinder, not a grind-by-weight model.

Product Features

Touch Screen Display

A responsive touch screen lets you program and lock timed doses with +/- controls that adjust in tenths of a second, plus dedicated single/double shot buttons and a manual mode. The clear interface speeds repeatable dosing—useful when you need consistent results shot after shot.

55 mm Flat Burrs

Equipped with 55 mm flat hardened steel burrs, the Specialità delivers the highest output in Eureka’s Mignon range. That larger burr size produces 1.4–1.8 g/s for espresso (and 1.9–2.5 g/s for brew), enough to pull an 18 g double in as little as ~10 seconds when dialed in.

Micrometric Stepless Adjustment

Eureka’s patented micrometric, stepless grind adjustment gives very fine control over particle size so you can find the exact sweet spot for a given coffee. That level of precision is critical for prosumer users who routinely dial in new beans or tweak extraction.

ACE Anti-Static System

The built-in ACE anti-static system reduces clumping and static so grounds dispense fluffy and evenly into your portafilter. Reduced clinging equals more consistent doses and less mess during hectic service or morning routines.

Silent Grind Technology

Anti-vibration components cut grinding noise by roughly 20 dB versus conventional grinders, and the unit measures around 73 dBA in operation. Quieter grinding preserves the work or home environment without sacrificing throughput.

Adjustable Portafilter Fork

The included portafilter holder fork is adjustable to accommodate virtually any portafilter on the market. That hands-free dosing setup stabilizes the portafilter for faster, cleaner service and consistent tamping preparation.

The Coffeeionado Take

Straight answers, before you buy.

Who's It For

  • Eureka Mignon Enthusiasts Who Want the Best of the Line — The Specialita sits at the top of the Mignon range with 55mm hardened steel burrs, a touchscreen display, and the quietest motor Eureka has put in this platform. If you want the Mignon, this is the one to get
  • Home Baristas Who Pull 3–8 Drinks Daily — The 55mm burrs at 1.4-1.8 g/sec handle a couple's morning routine without breaking a sweat. Back-to-back doses stay consistent
  • Apartment Dwellers Who Refuse to Compromise on Grind Quality — The sound-dampened housing means you get café-level espresso without the café-level noise

It's Right For You If

  • You want the quietest, most refined grinder in the Eureka Mignon lineup — the Specialita's 55mm burrs and sound-dampened housing deliver that combination.
  • Your workflow is espresso-focused with occasional filter experiments, and the touchscreen lets you save your settings between sessions.

Things to Consider

  • Dosing is controlled by time rather than an integrated scale.
  • Frequent moves between espresso and coarse brew settings require returning the stepless dial to a recorded position.
  • The 300 g hopper is designed for a repeat hopper-fed workflow rather than true single dosing.

Our Take

The Eureka Mignon Specialita is the Mignon done right — 55mm burrs, touchscreen, and the quietest motor in the lineup. If you are buying a Mignon, this is the one we recommend. It is the sweet spot of size, features, and grind quality.

Mignon Specialità Grinder by Eureka

The Eureka Mignon Specialità is a quiet, compact all-purpose home grinder built around 55 mm flat hardened-steel burrs, stepless micrometric adjustment, and a touch display with two programmable timed doses plus continuous mode.

Timed Dosing and Stepless Control

Program single- and double-dose grind times from the touch display, or use continuous grinding when you want manual control. Dosing is time-based rather than grind-by-weight, so a bean or grind-setting change may require a small timing adjustment.

55 mm Flat Burrs

Eureka publishes output of approximately 1.8–2.5 g/s for espresso and 2.5–3.5 g/s for brew settings. The 55 mm hardened-steel burrs are rated for about 300 kg of coffee.

Quiet, Clean Home Workflow

Silent Technology reduces vibration and noise, while the ACE system helps limit clumps and static. The adjustable hands-free fork supports direct grinding into many portafilters.

Who It's For

Home baristas who want quiet timed espresso dosing, fine stepless control, and enough range to explore filter brewing with one grinder.

Things to Consider

  • The Specialità doses by time, not weight.
  • Moving frequently between espresso and coarse brew settings requires returning the stepless dial to your recorded position.
  • Its 300 g hopper favors a repeat hopper-fed workflow rather than true single dosing.

Product FAQ

Is the Eureka Mignon Specialita a stepless grinder, and how precise is the grind adjustment for espresso?

Yes. The Eureka Mignon Specialita uses a stepless micrometric adjustment system, which allows you to make very small, precise changes to the grind size. This is ideal for dialing in espresso shots, since you’re not limited to preset “click” steps and can fine‑tune extraction more accurately.

Can the Eureka Mignon Specialita grind for both espresso and filter coffee, or is it espresso‑only?

The Mignon Specialita is optimized for espresso but can be adjusted for other brew methods such as Moka pot and some filter coffee. However, it excels most as a dedicated espresso grinder. If you frequently switch between espresso and coarser brew methods, note that you’ll need to adjust the grind significantly and re‑dial in your espresso afterward.

What type and size of burrs does the Eureka Mignon Specialita use?

The Eureka Mignon Specialita is equipped with 55 mm flat, hardened steel burrs. Flat burrs of this size provide consistent particle distribution and are well‑suited for high‑quality espresso grinding.

How long do the burrs typically last, and how often do they need to be replaced?

Burr life depends on use and bean hardness, but for home use many owners see 5–7 years (or roughly 600–800 kg of coffee) before noticing a decline in grind consistency. In a light commercial or high‑volume environment, burrs may need replacement sooner. Signs it’s time to replace them include slower grinding, more clumping, and a noticeable drop in shot consistency.

Is the Eureka Mignon Specialita suitable for home use, small cafés, or restaurants?

The Mignon Specialita is primarily designed for home and light‑duty professional use (like a small office or low‑volume café station). It offers excellent performance for daily home espresso and can handle moderate volumes, but very busy cafés and restaurants typically use larger commercial grinders built for continuous heavy‑duty service.

Does the grinder offer timed or manual dosing, and can I program shot times?

Yes. The Mignon Specialita includes an electronic touch screen that lets you program two independent timed doses (commonly used for single and double shots). It also has a manual mode that allows you to grind on demand for as long as the button is pressed.

Is operation hands‑free, and does it come with a portafilter holder?

Yes. The Mignon Specialita has an adjustable portafilter fork designed for hands‑free grinding. You can rest the portafilter in the fork while the grinder doses directly into the basket, so you don’t have to hold it the entire time.

Will the Eureka Mignon Specialita fit under standard U.S. kitchen cabinets?

In most U.S. kitchens, yes. The Mignon Specialita is compact, and with its standard hopper it fits under cabinets that are around 17–18 inches (about 43–46 cm) above the counter. Exact fit depends on your cabinet height and whether you use a smaller or alternate hopper, so checking your available clearance is recommended.

How does free installation work?

We want to make your purchase as smooth as possible and will pay the installation via rebate on commercial espresso machines. This includes commercial machines with more than 1 group head and 220V.

If the certified installer needed is over 1.5 hours away then we will pay for the installation call (and install up to the value suggested on page minus call fee). Travel will be paid by customer. Inquire if you have any questions about your location.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.

At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.

Which Machines Qualify

Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.

If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.

What's Included

  • Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
  • Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
  • Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
  • Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself

Installation must be completed within 90 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.

How Installation Is Arranged

Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:

Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.

Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.

We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

What's Not Included

The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:

  • Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is the customer's responsibility
  • Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
  • Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
  • Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
  • False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.

Water Filtration Requirement

Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be the customer's responsibility.

If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.

Service Area

Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If the customer's location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain the customer's responsibility.

Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.

What to Expect on Install Day

Getting a commercial espresso machine delivered is one thing. Getting it actually running — plumbed, programmed, and pulling properly — is another. Here's what happens when the technician comes out.

Before the appointment: Site preparation will be confirmed before technicians make it out. Once your machine ships, we'll coordinate scheduling with you and assign a local certified technician. Before they arrive, make sure your space is ready: the machine's permanent location should be determined, your water line and drain access should be in place, and your electrical supply should match the machine's requirements.

On the day The technician will handle the physical installation of the machine — positioning, water line connection, and drain setup. Once it's plumbed and powered, they'll run through the setup and basic programming: boiler pressure, shot parameters, and confirming that water flows correctly through the group heads and steam wands. Some basic training will be provided, they'll pull test shots to verify the machine is operating within spec.

After Installation

Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.

Governing Terms

This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.

Can I pick up the machine at your store?

We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.

However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
