Powering Hundreds of Businesses Including:

Your regulars may not understand the science of thermal stability, but they definitely notice when their latte tastes different than it did yesterday. The Aurelia Wave T3 handles that consistency for you, utilizing the T3 System to lock in temperature across the entire water path regardless of how long the line gets. It is a clear signal that your shop has moved past the experimental phase and into a serious professional operation. This machine manages the physics so your team can focus on the hospitality.

Product Features

Pulse-Jet Extraction

Pulse-Jet lets you start and stop flow at customizable intervals so the puck can bloom and develop targeted flavour profiles. The patented Pulse-Jet optimises flow rate and water pressure during dispensing, enabling extraction profiles you wouldn’t achieve with steady flow alone.

T3 System

T3 gives the operator independent temperature control of the primary boiler, each coffee groups' boiler, and the group heads. For a high-volume café this means you can hold different extraction temperatures simultaneously to keep shots consistent across continuous service.

Smart Water Technology

Smart Water Technology detects basic water parameters and warns when quality changes, helping you catch issues that are responsible for 50–70% of reliability problems. That protects milk drink and espresso quality and reduces long-term equipment maintenance costs.

Auto-Volumetric & Timers

Auto-Volumetric dosing lets you program dosages (including different dosages per group) so the machine finishes the brew at the set volume. Independent group head timers display shots simultaneously, speeding service and ensuring repeatable pours during rush periods.

Auto Purge

The Auto Purge system automatically cycles the group head after a shot when the portafilter is removed, and the purge interval is adjustable. That keeps sprayheads clean between pulls and reduces manual flushing and downtime on a busy bar.

Espresso Management System

The machine includes a remote control interface and the Espresso Management System so you can control extraction, dispensing and cleaning remotely and view hourly, daily, weekly and monthly statistics. Use those reports to compare performance, standardise workflows and inform staffing or maintenance decisions.

The Coffeeionado Take

Who's It For:

  • High-end specialty café operators — The T3 system with saturated group heads delivers the thermal precision required for dialing in light-roast single-origins at volume
  • Multi-location café groups standardizing on top-tier equipment — T3 temperature management ensures consistent extraction across locations and staff, shot after shot
  • Roasteries with in-house retail bars — The 250-600 daily shot capacity and per-group temperature control let you showcase your roasts at their best for tasting room customers

Right For You If:

  • Your program runs multiple single-origins simultaneously and you need independent, PID-controlled temperature for each group to optimize different roast profiles.
  • Your daily volume is 250-500 shots and you need multi-boiler architecture that maintains thermal stability from first shot to last.
  • You've moved past the experimental phase and want equipment that matches the precision your specialty coffee program demands.

Things to Consider:

  • The 30-minute warm-up time is necessary for multi-boiler systems to reach full thermal stability — factor this into your opening routine with a timer switch.
  • Multi-boiler architecture means a larger, heavier machine — ensure your bar has the counter space and dedicated electrical capacity to support it.
  • The T3 temperature system shines when running multiple origins — if you're only pulling one house blend, you may not fully leverage its capabilities.

Our Take:

The Aurelia Wave T3 is the top of Nuova Simonelli's 2-group range for good reason — the T3 multi-boiler system is genuinely best-in-class for thermal precision at this volume. If your specialty program demands the kind of temperature control that lets each origin shine, this machine removes the variables and lets your coffee do the talking.

Independent shot timers are integrated into each group display, providing real-time shot progress and removing the need for external timers.

At the Touch of a Button

Coming standard with a high-resolution screen display, this machine gives the barista unparalleled control over the machine at their fingertips. Allowing the baristas to easily program dosages, boiler pressure, pre-infusion, and even energy savings settings. That makes this one of the most flexible and consistent volumetric espresso machines.

This feature not only helps save time but also maintains the quality and flavor of the final product. Meanwhile, they can also focus on other tasks such as taking money, steaming milk, or other work tasks.

Pre-Infusion SIS Technology

The Soft Infusion System, developed by the techs at Simonelli, is an innovative pre-infusion system that is adjustable, consistent and has no risk of user error. It is unique because it extracts centrifugally by injecting water at different angles into the coffee cake which eliminates channeling and maximizes espresso extraction by creating more contact time between the water and coffee.

With these revolutionary features, you can froth and steam milk without any concerns about getting burned. The cool touch technology ensures that the wand remains at a safe temperature, allowing you to focus on creating the perfect espresso drinks without any worries. They eliminate the need for baristas to brew into shot glasses and then transfer the espresso into larger cups, allowing them to brew directly into taller cups and maintain an efficient workflow.

Multi-boiler 14-Liter Capacity

This 14-liter commercial espresso machine comes with multiple copper boilers making it specifically designed for professional use in high demand cafes, restaurants, and other commercial environments. Here are the key features:

  • Fast Recover: With such a large boiler, this machine will be able to take care of any rush and offer exceptional quality shot after shot with minimum recovery time.
  • Multi-Boiler Technology: Independent coffee boilers ensure uncompromised temperature stability and give the ability to set different temperatures for each group. This commercial espresso machine ensures optimal steam productivity and temperature control with its independent and insulated coffee boilers for each infusion group.
  • Simultaneous Brewing and Steaming: Thanks to the heat exchange system, baristas can brew espresso shots while simultaneously frothing milk for lattes or cappuccinos. This simultaneous operation is essential during peak hours in a commercial setting.

  • Advanced Temperature Control: With multi-boiler machines maintain steady water temperature for brewing purposes. The boiler remains at steaming temperature, while the group boiler ensures that the brewing water is heated if needed.

Copper Boilers

Copper boilers in espresso machines offer exceptional heat conductivity, ensuring rapid heating and faster recovery times for a quicker startup. Maintaining optimal brewing temperatures is essential for consistently good espresso, and copper's ability to uphold steady temperatures contributes to a consistent brew quality. Additionally, copper's natural antimicrobial properties make it a hygienic choice for espresso machines by inhibiting the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms.

Boiler Gauge

The pressure gauge on espresso machines is vital for producing top-notch espresso. It shows the pressure used to extract the coffee, ensuring that water passes through the grounds in the portafilter at the right force. Keeping this pressure steady is key to making excellent espresso shots every time.

For Large Rush Cafes

This handcrafted Italian espresso machine would be perfect in high-volume cafes. It has made pulling shots as fast and simple as possible, allowing you to focus on your customers.

Suitable for: High quality coffee shops, medium - high volume locations, demanding professionals, barista competitors, specialty coffee shops.

Water Quality & Machine Protection

Proper water quality is essential for optimal espresso extraction and long-term machine health. Use the guidelines below to ensure your machine performs at its best.

Parameter Ideal Range Why It Matters
Total Hardness 50-170 ppm Prevents scale buildup while maintaining flavor
pH Level 6.5-7.5 Ensures balanced extraction and protects internal components
Chlorine 0 ppm Eliminates off-flavors and prevents corrosion
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) 70-150 ppm Optimal mineral content for extraction and taste
Total Alkalinity ~7.0 Stabilizes acidity and extraction
Chloride 0-28 ppm Prevents corrosion (especially in steel boilers)

Important Note

Always refer to your machine's manual for specific water quality recommendations and maintenance schedules.

Advisory

Install a water filtration system to maintain consistent water quality and extend the life of your espresso machine.

What This Means

  • Water that’s too hard → scale buildup, reduced performance
  • Water that’s too soft → flat, dull espresso
  • Improper water can damage internal components over time

Machine-Specific Considerations

  • Some machines (especially with stainless steel boilers) require stricter limits on chlorides

Product FAQ

Does the Nuova Simonelli Aurelia Wave T3 2 Group AV have a rotary pump and can it be direct plumbed to a water line?

Yes. The Aurelia Wave T3 uses a commercial-grade rotary pump and is designed to be direct plumbed to your water line; it is not a pour-over or reservoir-only machine.

What does the T3 technology actually control, and how does it affect brew temperature stability?

T3 technology independently controls three temperature variables: the boiler, the group heads, and the brew water. This multi-point control gives very stable brew temperatures shot-to-shot and allows you to fine-tune temperature profiles for different coffees, improving consistency and flavor precision.

Is this the volumetric (AV) model, and can I still perform manual shots if needed?

Yes. The AV in the name indicates it is the volumetric model, which lets you program shot volumes for consistency. It also includes a manual start/stop option so you can pull shots manually when you want more direct control.

Does the Aurelia Wave T3 2 Group AV include pre-infusion, and is it adjustable?

It does include soft pre-infusion. Pre-infusion is handled through the machine’s brewing system and can be adjusted in the programming menu, allowing you to fine-tune how gently water first saturates the coffee puck.

Are the steam wands cool-touch or no-burn, and how powerful is the steam for milk texturing?

The machine comes with cool-touch (no-burn) steam wands designed to stay significantly cooler than traditional wands and reduce milk buildup. It has a high-capacity steam boiler and delivers strong, dry steam suitable for high-volume milk drink preparation.

What kind of power and water filtration requirements does this machine have for installation in a US café?

The Aurelia Wave T3 2 Group AV typically requires a dedicated 220–240V electrical circuit (amperage depends on configuration) and a plumbed-in potable cold water supply with proper filtration and softening. Most US installations will use a commercial water filtration/softening system to protect the boiler and maintain coffee quality. Exact specs should be checked against the machine’s tech sheet and local code requirements.

How large is the machine and what counter space and clearance should I plan for?

As a 2-group commercial machine, it has a substantial footprint and height. You should plan enough counter depth for the body plus portafilters, and vertical clearance for cup storage and ventilation above the cup tray. Check the official dimensions (width, depth, height) on the spec sheet and allow a few extra inches around the machine for service access and airflow.

Does the Aurelia Wave T3 2 Group AV come with portafilters, baskets, and barista accessories, or are those sold separately?

It is shipped with multiple commercial portafilters (usually doubles, sometimes a single), standard filter baskets, and basic accessories such as a blind basket for backflushing. Tamps, knock boxes, advanced baskets, and pitchers are commonly purchased separately, depending on the reseller’s bundle.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.

At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.

Which Machines Qualify

Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.

If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.

What's Included

  • Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
  • Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
  • Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
  • Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself

Installation must be completed within 30 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.

How Installation Is Arranged

Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:

Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.

Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.

We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

What's Not Included

The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:

  • Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is your responsibility
  • Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
  • Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
  • Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
  • False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.

Water Filtration Requirement

Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be your responsibility.

If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.

Service Area

Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If your location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain your responsibility.

Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.

After Installation

Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.

Governing Terms

This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.

Can I pick up the machine at your store?

We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.

However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
