Puqpress Q PRO Automatic Tamper

The Q PRO is the top of PUQ Press's standalone range, built for bars where the tamp happens hundreds of times a shift and every barista needs to get the same result. It adds a PRO Profile Switch for changing tamp profiles mid-service and a Mirror Tray so you can check the coffee bed before you commit to the press. It is rated by PUQ Press for unlimited weekly volume. The Puqpress Automatic Tamper line takes tamping off the barista's wrist and puts it on a machine that does it the same way every time.

PUQ Press

PUQ Press, made by Barista Technologies BV, builds automatic tampers for espresso bars that want consistent extractions without the repetitive strain of tamping by hand. The line runs from the compact Mini, to the Q for busy bars, to the Q PRO at the top, plus grinder-mounted models for specific grinders.

PRO Profile Switch

The Q PRO puts a profile switch button within reach so a barista can change tamp profiles in the middle of service without digging through menus. Five profiles are built in: Speedy, Precision, Hulk, Soft, and Single. Switch to a gentler profile for a light roast or a firmer one for your house blend, then switch back.

Mirror Tray

The integrated mirror tray lets you see the tamper base and the coffee bed before the press comes down, and it catches loose grounds so they don't end up on your counter. It is a quick visual check that helps catch an uneven dose before it becomes a channeled shot.

Automatic Pressure Adjustment

Place the portafilter in and the tamp starts on its own. Pressure is adjustable from 5 to 30 kg (11 to 66 lb) in 1 kg steps, using the adjustment wheel, so you can dial it in to your dose and basket. The tamp base fits 57.3 to 58.3 mm baskets and works with naked, single-spout, and double-spout portafilters.

Ergonomic by Design

PUQ Press was developed with the barista's comfort in mind, relieving the shoulders and wrists that take the load when tamping by hand all day. It sits on its own spot on the counter, so it works with whichever grinder you run, including Mahlkonig, Anfim, Nuova Simonelli, Victoria Arduino, Sanremo, and Fiorenzato.

How does free shipping work?

Typical delivery within 3-6 Business days depending on size of order. Free shipping is available on orders of $249.00 or more to any address in the contiguous United States.

Free shipping does not apply to orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, APO/military addresses or on any international orders. We will use the lowest cost means for free shipping. Free shipping delivery dates are best estimates provided by the shipping carrier and are not guaranteed. Orders placed with free shipping are generally processed between 24 - 48 hours after order placement.

Do you offer expedited shipping?

How does paid installation work?

We will pay the installation via rebate on commercial espresso machines. If the certified installer needed is over 2 hours away then we will pay for the installation call (and install up to the value suggested on page minus call fee). Travel will be paid by customer. Inquire if you have any questions about your location.

Do these products come with a warranty?

Every espresso machine and grinder is guaranteed new and comes with a minimum 1 year warranty on parts (see product page for details).

We back every commercial machine purchase with an industry leading 24 month warranty on parts.

Please note, warranty covers parts and unless otherwise noted will not include service calls or labor as industry norm.
