Placing this machine on your counter serves as a deliberate notification to your staff and your regulars that you have stopped compromising on extraction variables. The ability to lock in specific Programmable Profiles means the nuance of a light-roasted single origin won't be lost to the frantic pace of a Saturday morning rush. Most shops settle for "close enough," but this hardware is for the operator who knows that a reputation is built on the consistency of the hundredth cup, not just the first. It is a tool for those who prefer to spend their time refining a menu instead of fighting their equipment.
Product Features
Touchscreen Interface
The state-of-the-art touchscreen puts intuitive control and customization at the barista's fingertips, speeding adjustments and minimizing training time. Fast, visual controls help maintain tempo during peak hours without sacrificing recipe accuracy.
Multi-Boiler System
Independent boilers per group and a dedicated steam boiler hold brew and steam temperatures separately, each meticulously calibrated, so extraction stays steady while you texture milk. That precision delivers repeatable shots across long service periods with fewer profile drift issues when pulling back-to-back espressos.
Tall Cup Clearance
The Opera 2.0 Tall's increased height accommodates a wide array of cup sizes, allowing large lattes and specialty pours without swapping vessels. Extra clearance streamlines workflow and reduces spills during high-volume shifts.
Programmable Profiles
Programmable controls let you save custom brew profiles so every operator can reproduce the same extraction parameters on demand. Stored profiles simplify consistency across multiple baristas and shifts.
Commercial-Grade Construction
Built with industrial components and quality craftsmanship, the Opera 2.0 is designed for high-volume service and long-term durability. Made in Italy, its premium build quality supports continuous café use while projecting a refined presence at the bar.

The Coffeeionado Take
Who's It For:
High-volume specialty cafés — Multi-boiler system with an 8L steam boiler and programmable brew profiles handle 250–500 drinks a day without thermal compromise
Multi-location café groups — Saveable custom profiles ensure recipe consistency across locations, so every shop pulls the same shots regardless of which barista is on shift
Coffee training centers and academies — Gear pump pressure control and programmable profiling make this an ideal platform for teaching advanced extraction on real commercial hardware
Right For You If:
You are pulling 250–500 drinks a day and need a machine where every extraction variable is locked in, not estimated.
Your menu features multiple espresso offerings — programmable profiles let you switch between beans without re-dialing every variable by hand.
You have 220–240V power, direct plumbing, and a team of baristas who are ready to operate advanced equipment with confidence.
Things to Consider:
The 40-75 minute warm-up means this machine needs a proper morning routine — factor it into your opening schedule or use an automated power timer.
Gear pump and programmable profiling are powerful tools, but they require baristas who understand extraction theory — if your team is still building fundamentals, the learning curve is real.
The touchscreen interface is intuitive once learned, but adds a layer of complexity that baristas used to simple button machines will need time to master.
Our Take:
The Opera 2.0 is Sanremo's shot at the top of the two-group market, and it earns it — the gear pump profiling and multi-boiler precision put this in territory where most competitors charge significantly more. If you are running a serious coffee program and your baristas are ready for real control over every extraction variable, this machine will not be the bottleneck.

Important Note
Always refer to your machine's manual for specific water quality recommendations and maintenance schedules.
Advisory
Install a water filtration system to maintain consistent water quality and extend the life of your espresso machine.
What This Means
Water that’s too hard → scale buildup, reduced performance
Water that’s too soft → flat, dull espresso
Improper water can damage internal components over time
Machine-Specific Considerations
Some machines (especially with stainless steel boilers) require stricter limits on chlorides
Is the Sanremo Opera 2.0 2 Group an automatic volumetric machine, and can I program shot volumes independently for each group head?
Yes. The Sanremo Opera 2.0 2 Group is an automatic volumetric espresso machine that allows you to program multiple recipes per group head. Each group can have its own dose, temperature, and pressure profile, so you can dial in different coffees or beverage sizes independently and recall them at the touch of a button or via the interface.
Does the Opera 2.0 2 Group have a rotary pump, and how loud is it during operation?
The Opera 2.0 is equipped with rotary pumps designed for commercial use, which are generally quieter and more durable than vibration pumps. While exact noise levels depend on installation and surroundings, in a typical café environment the pump sound is low and unobtrusive, especially when the machine is properly installed on a stable counter and plumbed in.
Does this machine offer pre-infusion and full pressure profiling, or is it just an on/off pump system?
The Opera 2.0 is built specifically for advanced extraction control. It offers programmable pre-infusion and full pressure profiling across different stages of the shot. You can define multi-step pressure curves (for example, soft pre-infusion, ramp-up, and declining pressure) so that each recipe can be tailored to a specific coffee or roast style.
Are the steam wands cool-touch or no-burn, and how powerful is the steam for milk texturing?
Yes. The Sanremo Opera 2.0 comes with cool-touch (no-burn) steam wands, which stay significantly cooler to the touch and reduce the risk of burns while also minimizing milk residue buildup. The machine is designed as a high‑performance commercial unit, so the steam delivery is strong and dry, allowing quick, consistent milk texturing for busy café service.
Is the Opera 2.0 2 Group a direct-plumbed machine, and does it require a drain connection?
The Opera 2.0 2 Group is intended to be direct plumbed into your water line and does not use an internal pour-over water tank. A drain connection is also strongly recommended, as the drip tray and internal waste lines are designed to send wastewater to a floor drain or grease trap in a commercial installation.
Can I control brew temperature and pressure digitally, and does each group head have independent temperature control?
Yes. The Opera 2.0 features multi-boiler technology with PID temperature control, allowing precise adjustment of brew temperature. Each group head has its own dedicated brew boiler and PID control, so you can run different temperatures on each group simultaneously. Brew pressures and pressure profiles are also digitally programmable through the control interface or app, depending on configuration.
Does the machine integrate with a mobile app or external software for recipe management and shot tracking?
The Opera 2.0 platform was designed to support advanced digital control, and many configurations offer a companion app or software interface. This allows baristas to create, save, and share recipes (including time, temperature, and pressure profiles) and in some cases monitor shot data. Availability and exact features may vary by distributor in the US, so check the specific configuration from your reseller.
What kind of power requirements does the Sanremo Opera 2.0 2 Group have, and can it run on a standard 120V outlet?
The Opera 2.0 2 Group is a commercial espresso machine and typically requires a 220–240V dedicated circuit with sufficient amperage (often in the 20–30A range, depending on configuration). It is not designed to run on a standard 120V household outlet in the US. Always confirm the exact electrical specs with your dealer and consult a licensed electrician before installation.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.
At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.
Which Machines Qualify
Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.
If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.
What's Included
Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself
Installation must be completed within 30 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.
How Installation Is Arranged
Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:
Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.
Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.
We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.
What's Not Included
The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:
Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is your responsibility
Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation
Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.
Water Filtration Requirement
Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be your responsibility.
If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.
Service Area
Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If your location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain your responsibility.
Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.
After Installation
Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.
Governing Terms
This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.
Can I pick up the machine at your store?
We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.
However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
