Powering Hundreds of Businesses Including:

Running a busy shop means your equipment needs to stop being a variable and start being a constant. The Sanremo D8 PRO handles the transition from a quiet morning to a relentless rush with a high-performance volumetric pump that stays out of its own way. It tells your team—and your regulars—that the quality of the fourth shot of the hour will be identical to the fortieth. This is for the operator who knows that reliability is the only feature that actually pays the rent.

Product Features

Programmable Pre-Infusion Function

Programmable Pre-Infusion lets you set pre-infusion time so water saturates the puck at low pressure before full extraction, reducing channeling and improving flavor clarity. Precise pre-infusion settings make recipe performance consistent across multiple baristas and shifts.

Insulated Boiler

The insulated boiler minimizes heat loss so extraction temperature stays steady through back-to-back service. That stability reduces shot-to-shot variation during peak volume periods on a two-group bar.

Volumetric Dosing

Volumetric Dosing locks in programmed shot volumes so extractions are repeatable regardless of operator. Use it to maintain recipe consistency and speed during high-throughput service.

High-Performance Volumetric Pump

The High-Performance Volumetric Pump delivers constant pressure even during prolonged or simultaneous use of multiple functions and groups, keeping extraction pressure stable under load. That reliability preserves shot quality during sustained service.

LCD Colour Display

The LCD Colour Display (multifunction screen) provides clear system feedback and lets staff program key functions such as shot timers, auto-on/auto-off and weekly ECO scheduling. Quick on-screen control shortens training time and speeds workflow behind the bar.

Automatic Cleaning Cycle

Programmable Automatic Cleaning Cycle plus Group Flushing automate routine maintenance—run scheduled clean cycles and flush groups at the push of a button to remove oils and residue. That lowers downtime and helps keep group heads performing consistently between services.

The Coffeeionado Take

Who's It For:

  • Café operators prioritizing speed and consistency — High-performance volumetric pump and programmable electronic pre/post-infusion keep extraction dialed in even as ticket volume climbs
  • Restaurants and hospitality programs with rotating staff — Digital controls and automated profiling reduce the skill gap between experienced and newer baristas
  • Medium-volume shops managing peak surges — The 7L insulated steam boiler and direct-plumbed setup handle sustained service without thermal drop-off

Right For You If:

  • You run a shop where the difference between a quiet morning and a line out the door is fifteen minutes, and you need equipment that handles both without missing a beat.
  • Your team includes baristas at different skill levels — electronic pre-infusion and programmable dosing keep quality consistent regardless of who is on bar.
  • You have 220–240V power and a direct water line, and you want a machine that is ready for high-volume service from day one.

Things to Consider:

  • Warm-up takes 40-75 minutes, and the volumetric pump design means this machine is purpose-built for plumbed-in operation — there is no reservoir option for flexibility.
  • AutoSteam is available as an optional feature but not included standard — if automated milk texturing is a priority for your workflow, confirm the upgrade cost at purchase.
  • Water line fitting size is not published — verify the exact inlet specification with Sanremo or your installer before committing to plumbing.

Our Take:

The D8 PRO is the answer for shops that have outgrown the need to babysit their equipment during a rush — the electronic profiling and volumetric pump mean your baristas can focus on customers instead of shot times. If you are moving from a startup café to a real operation, this is the machine that scales with you.

With programmable doses, baristas can set specific measurements for each shot of espresso, ensuring consistency and efficiency in the brewing process. This feature not only helps save time but also maintains the quality and flavor of the final product. Meanwhile, they can also focus on other tasks such as taking money, steaming milk, or other work tasks.

Stainless Steel Boiler

Stainless steel boilers in espresso machines offer exceptional durability and corrosion resistance. They are designed to withstand daily use without losing efficiency, even in high humidity or water-exposed environments. Despite having lower thermal conductivity than copper, stainless steel boilers require less material for construction. Additionally, they are compatible with descaling chemicals, making maintenance hassle-free for optimal performance.

Insulated Boiler

Insulation is crucial for boilers to maintain heat effectively and comes standard with the D8 Pro. Espresso machines are equipped with thermostats, pressure stats, and PIDs to constantly monitor and regulate the temperature of the boiler. If the temperature falls below a specific level, a heating element is activated to restore it. Boilers that are well-insulated release less heat, resulting in lower energy consumption for maintaining their temperature.

The cool touch technology ensures that the wand remains at a safe temperature, allowing you to focus on creating the perfect espresso drinks without any worries. Say goodbye to accidental burns and hello to a more enjoyable coffee-making process with our state-of-the-art espresso machine.

Digital Shot Timer Built In

The presence of a shot timer on your espresso machine provides numerous benefits, particularly for individuals who enjoy making coffee at home. Consistency and precision are key factors in the extraction of espresso shots. By maintaining consistent timing with the help of a shot timer, you can ensure that each shot is extracted for the same duration, leading to a well-balanced and flavorful cup of coffee.

Dual Manometer

You'll find dual manometers on espresso machines for monitoring brew and steam pressure. The brew pressure gauge checks the resistance from the coffee grounds in the filter basket when the pump is running to ensure optimal extraction. Meanwhile, the steam pressure gauge on heat exchange or dual boiler machines shows the boiler's steam pressure for safety.

Water Quality & Machine Protection

Proper water quality is essential for optimal espresso extraction and long-term machine health. Use the guidelines below to ensure your machine performs at its best.

Parameter Ideal Range Why It Matters
Total Hardness 50-170 ppm Prevents scale buildup while maintaining flavor
pH Level 6.5-7.5 Ensures balanced extraction and protects internal components
Chlorine 0 ppm Eliminates off-flavors and prevents corrosion
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) 70-150 ppm Optimal mineral content for extraction and taste
Total Alkalinity ~7.0 Stabilizes acidity and extraction
Chloride 0-28 ppm Prevents corrosion (especially in steel boilers)

Important Note

Always refer to your machine's manual for specific water quality recommendations and maintenance schedules.

Advisory

Install a water filtration system to maintain consistent water quality and extend the life of your espresso machine.

What This Means

  • Water that’s too hard → scale buildup, reduced performance
  • Water that’s too soft → flat, dull espresso
  • Improper water can damage internal components over time

Machine-Specific Considerations

  • Some machines (especially with stainless steel boilers) require stricter limits on chlorides

Product FAQ

Does the Sanremo D8 PRO 2 Group have a rotary pump or a vibration pump?

The Sanremo D8 PRO 2 Group is equipped with a commercial-grade rotary pump designed for consistent pressure delivery, quieter operation, and suitability for continuous use in a café or high-volume environment.

Is the D8 PRO 2 Group a direct-plumbed espresso machine, or can it use a water reservoir?

The D8 PRO 2 Group is designed to be direct-plumbed into your water line, as is standard for commercial machines. As a commercial machine, it does not have an onboard water reservoir and must be installed with a properly filtered and conditioned water supply line.

Does this machine offer pre-infusion, and is the pre-infusion time adjustable?

Yes. The D8 PRO 2 Group includes a pre-infusion function to gently saturate the coffee puck before full-pressure extraction. On most configurations, the pre-infusion time can be programmed through the control panel for each group to fine-tune extraction.

Are the steam wands on the D8 PRO 2 Group cool-touch or no-burn?

The D8 PRO 2 Group is supplied with insulated, cool-touch (no-burn) steam wands. These are designed to stay significantly cooler to the touch than traditional wands and to reduce milk sticking and scorching, making cleaning easier and operation safer.

What type of boiler system does the Sanremo D8 PRO 2 Group use (single boiler, heat exchanger, or multi-boiler)?

The D8 PRO 2 Group uses a commercial heat-exchanger boiler system. This allows each group to draw brewing water through a heat exchanger inside a large steam boiler, supporting simultaneous brewing and steaming while maintaining stable temperatures for high-volume service.

Is the temperature and brewing profile programmable for each group head?

Yes. The machine’s electronic control system allows you to program shot volumes and key parameters for each group, including temperature settings tied to the boiler/heat-exchanger configuration. This lets you standardize recipes across staff and adjust for different coffees.

What kind of power and electrical requirements does the D8 PRO 2 Group have for installation in the U.S.?

In the U.S., the Sanremo D8 PRO 2 Group generally requires a dedicated 220–240V circuit (usually 30A, depending on configuration). Exact amperage and phase requirements can vary, so it’s important to confirm the data plate specifications and consult a licensed electrician before installation.

Does the machine include an integrated shot timer and automatic volumetric dosing?

Yes. The D8 PRO 2 Group is an automatic (volumetric) espresso machine. Each group is equipped with programmable volumetric dosing buttons and an integrated shot timer so baristas can monitor extraction times and maintain consistency from shot to shot.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.

At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.

Which Machines Qualify

Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.

If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.

What's Included

  • Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
  • Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
  • Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
  • Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself

Installation must be completed within 30 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.

How Installation Is Arranged

Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:

Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.

Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.

We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

What's Not Included

The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:

  • Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is your responsibility
  • Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
  • Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
  • Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
  • False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.

Water Filtration Requirement

Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be your responsibility.

If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.

Service Area

Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If your location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain your responsibility.

Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.

After Installation

Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.

Governing Terms

This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.

Can I pick up the machine at your store?

We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.

However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
