Used - Like New - La Spaziale S2 Spazio 2 Group Espresso Machine
This is a never-used La Spaziale S2 Spazio 2 Group, sold as Like New at a meaningful discount to a new machine. The S2 Spazio gives you true two-group commercial capability in a compact chassis, with a 5-liter heat-exchange boiler, programmable volumetric dosing, a built-in rotary pump, and two steam wands.
Like New Condition: What You Should Know
This machine was damaged in transit before it was ever put into service. The affected parts were replaced with new parts, and the machine has never been used to make a drink. We are disclosing that history up front so you know exactly what you are buying.
Commercial Warranty
We back this machine with a 2-year parts warranty. As with other commercial espresso machines, proper commercial water filtration is required to protect the machine and preserve warranty coverage.
Paid Shipping
Ships free to all 48 contiguous states. For Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, or international destinations, contact us and we will work out the best shipping option.
Compact Two-Group Commercial Design
The S2 Spazio is built for operators who need two-group output but do not have room for a full-size commercial chassis. At roughly 21.2 inches wide, it fits substantially tighter counters while still giving two baristas access to two group heads, two steam wands, and a dedicated hot-water outlet.
Programmable Volumetric Dosing
Each group provides programmable volumetric dosing plus manual control. Once your recipes are dialed in, the machine can stop shots automatically at the programmed volume, helping your team produce more consistent espresso across shifts and baristas.
5 L Heat-Exchange Boiler
The S2 Spazio uses a 5-liter heat-exchange boiler, allowing you to brew espresso and steam milk at the same time. The smaller boiler helps keep the machine compact while still providing the steam and brewing capacity needed for small cafés, kiosks, restaurants, offices, and other moderate-volume commercial environments.
Built-In Rotary Pump
A commercial rotary pump is built directly into the machine, giving you stable brew pressure without requiring an external pump. The S2 Spazio is direct-plumbed and should be installed with an appropriate commercial water filtration system.
Who It's For
- Small cafés and kiosks — two-group output without giving up the counter space required by a full-size machine.
- Restaurants, hotels, and offices — programmable volumetric dosing helps staff produce consistent shots without requiring constant manual control.
- Mobile and space-conscious operators — the compact chassis makes the Spazio a strong fit where every inch of bar space matters.
- Value-focused commercial buyers — this never-used Like New unit offers the Spazio platform at a lower price than a new machine.
Right for You If…
- You need a compact two-group machine for approximately 100-250 drinks per day.
- You want programmable volumetric dosing, two steam wands, and simultaneous brewing and steaming.
- You have a dedicated 220-240V / 20A electrical circuit and direct plumbing available.
- You are comfortable buying a Like New, never-used unit whose transit-damaged parts were replaced before it entered service.
Things to Consider
- This is a one-of-one Like New unit. Once it sells, availability at this condition and price may not be repeatable.
- The 5 L boiler prioritizes compactness. It is well suited to moderate-volume service, but sustained high-volume milk-drink rushes may be better served by a larger-boiler machine.
- This specific unit is 220-240V / 20A. Confirm your electrical service before ordering.
- Water filtration is required. Proper treatment helps prevent scale and protects the machine over the long term.

Water Quality & Machine Protection
Proper water quality is essential for optimal espresso extraction and long-term machine health. Use the guidelines below to ensure your machine performs at its best.
| Parameter | Ideal Range | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Total Hardness | 50-170 ppm | Prevents scale buildup while maintaining flavor |
| pH Level | 6.5-7.5 | Ensures balanced extraction and protects internal components |
| Chlorine | 0 ppm | Eliminates off-flavors and prevents corrosion |
| TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) | 70-150 ppm | Optimal mineral content for extraction and taste |
| Total Alkalinity | ~7.0 | Stabilizes acidity and extraction |
| Chloride | 0-28 ppm | Prevents corrosion (especially in steel boilers) |
Important Note
Always refer to your machine's manual for specific water quality recommendations and maintenance schedules.
Advisory
Install a water filtration system to maintain consistent water quality and extend the life of your espresso machine.
What This Means
- Water that’s too hard → scale buildup, reduced performance
- Water that’s too soft → flat, dull espresso
- Improper water can damage internal components over time
Machine-Specific Considerations
- These guidelines are safe for most home espresso machines
- Some machines (especially with stainless steel boilers) require stricter limits on chlorides
What We'd Tell You In Person
How to Choose a Home Espresso Machine
The machine that's right for someone who wants great espresso with minimal daily effort is not the same machine that's right for someone who wants to learn pressure profiling. Before you look at specs or prices, two questions do most of the work: how involved do you want to be, and what's your realistic total budget — including the grinder.
Lever and Paddle Espresso Machines: How Much Control Do You Want?
A standard espresso machine makes one decision for you: how the shot is extracted. Paddle machines, spring levers, and direct lever machines give that decision back — in increasing degrees, and with increasing demands on the person holding the lever. This guide covers the full spectrum.
How to Pick Out a Home Grinder
The grinder is the part of your espresso setup that most people buy last and most people wish they'd bought better first. Every shot you pull — its extraction speed, its flavor, its consistency from one morning to the next — is determined first at the grinder. A great machine cannot fix a poor grind.
Setting Up Your Home Espresso Machine Right
The decisions made in the first few days — where the machine lives, what water goes through it, how the workflow is arranged around it — determine a lot about whether espresso becomes a daily ritual you look forward to or a recurring source of frustration.
