Powering Hundreds of Businesses Including:

You have reached the stage where consistency is no longer the goal but the baseline, and your setup requires the same technical rigor found in a professional laboratory. This is a deliberate investment in the kind of precision that treats pressure and temperature as variables to be mastered rather than suggestions to be followed. The inclusion of a dedicated Flow Control Kit signals that you are no longer just pulling shots, but actively designing the physics of every extraction. It is time to stop working around the limitations of your equipment and start exploring what happens when those limitations are removed.

Product Features

True VBM E61 Grouphead

The machine uses a True VBM E61 58 mm chromed-brass grouphead with thermosyphon circulation that keeps the grouphead constantly heated by circulating boiler water. That continuous circulation stabilizes group temperature for repeatable extractions and reduces the need for frequent flushes or temperature fiddling.

Dual Boiler PID Control

True dual-boiler architecture separates extraction and steam — a 0.5-liter copper coffee boiler (PID controlled) and a 2.0-liter copper steam/hot-water boiler (PID controlled). That small coffee boiler displaces stale water quickly and lets you pull a shot and steam milk simultaneously without mode-switch delays, ideal for high-precision home or small-cafe service.

Dual Profiling Capability

Dual Profiling' lets you program both pump pressure shot profiling and a flow-control profile device mounted on the E61 grouphead, so you can shape pressure and flow independently during extraction. This combination gives hands-on control over bloom, development and finishing pressure curves for experimenting with flavor across single and double shots.

3.5" Digital Touch Display

The 3.5" Digital Touch Display stores up to 10 pump pressure profiles (each with seven stages) and lets you program seconds-on for dosing, ECO mode, programmable on/off schedules, water-tank level alerts and extraction timers. Having these settings on a touchscreen makes repeatable dialing-in and daily automation straightforward for a serious prosumer setup.

Flow Control Kit Included

A flow control kit is included and pre-installed (a $199 value), giving you immediate manual flow adjustment at the grouphead in addition to the digital pump profiling. That lets you fine-tune shots on the fly without hardware retrofits — handy when switching beans or adjusting for seasonal changes.

Steam/Hot-Water Wand Design

Multi-directional steam/hot-water wands use rotational knobs and a 4-hole steam tip to build microfoam faster and with greater maneuverability. The wand design shortens steaming time and gives you the control needed for latte art and consistent milk texture across back-to-back drinks.

The Coffeeionado Take

Who's It For:

  • Enthusiasts who want pre-installed flow control on a proven E61 platform — The dedicated Flow Control Kit is factory-installed, so you can start profiling pressure from day one
  • Home baristas pulling 4–15 drinks daily — The 2L steam boiler and 0.5L brew boiler handle sustained home use with plumb-in capability
  • Experienced operators who treat extraction as a science — The 3.5-inch touchscreen and electronic controls give you laboratory-grade precision over every variable

It's Right For You If:

  • You are pulling 4–15 shots daily and want to actively profile pressure without installing aftermarket kits.
  • You have a high-quality grinder — flow control rewards grind consistency more than any other feature.
  • Your counter can handle a 30–45 minute warm-up and you have 110-120V power with the option to plumb in.

Things to Consider:

  • E61 groups need 30–45 minutes to fully stabilize — this is one of the longer warm-up times in the category; budget for a smart plug.
  • The 0.5L brew boiler is on the smaller side — back-to-back espresso shots will need brief recovery between pulls.
  • Flow control has a genuine learning curve — if you are not ready to experiment with flow rates and soak times, a standard dual boiler will serve you better at a lower price.

Our Take:

The Super Domobar Electronic is Vibiemme is flagship for a reason — the pre-installed flow control and 3.5-inch touchscreen give you the kind of extraction control that most prosumer machines require aftermarket mods to achieve. If you are the kind of person who wants to engineer every shot from day one, this is the machine that makes it possible without the hassle of DIY upgrades.

Water Quality & Machine Protection

Proper water quality is essential for optimal espresso extraction and long-term machine health. Use the guidelines below to ensure your machine performs at its best.

Parameter Ideal Range Why It Matters
Total Hardness 50-170 ppm Prevents scale buildup while maintaining flavor
pH Level 6.5-7.5 Ensures balanced extraction and protects internal components
Chlorine 0 ppm Eliminates off-flavors and prevents corrosion
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) 70-150 ppm Optimal mineral content for extraction and taste
Total Alkalinity ~7.0 Stabilizes acidity and extraction
Chloride 0-28 ppm Prevents corrosion (especially in steel boilers)

Important Note

Always refer to your machine's manual for specific water quality recommendations and maintenance schedules.

Advisory

Install a water filtration system to maintain consistent water quality and extend the life of your espresso machine.

What This Means

  • Water that’s too hard → scale buildup, reduced performance
  • Water that’s too soft → flat, dull espresso
  • Improper water can damage internal components over time

Machine-Specific Considerations

  • These guidelines are safe for most home espresso machines
  • Some machines (especially with stainless steel boilers) require stricter limits on chlorides

Product FAQ

Does the Vibiemme Super Domobar Electronic have an E61 group head and provide pre‑infusion?

Yes. The Vibiemme Super Domobar Electronic uses an E61 group head, which is known for excellent temperature stability and mechanical pre‑infusion. The pre‑infusion wets the coffee puck gently before full pressure is applied, helping reduce channeling and improve extraction consistency.

Is the Vibiemme Super Domobar Electronic a dual‑boiler machine or a heat‑exchanger, and can it brew and steam at the same time?

The Vibiemme Super Domobar Electronic is a dual‑boiler espresso machine. It has a dedicated brew boiler and a separate steam boiler, allowing you to pull shots and steam milk simultaneously with stable temperatures on both sides.

Does this machine use a rotary pump or a vibratory pump, and how loud is it during operation?

The Super Domobar Electronic uses a vibratory pump. Vib pumps are a bit louder than rotary pumps, but still reasonable for home use. Noise is similar to other high‑end home prosumer machines and typically not disruptive in a kitchen setting.

Can the Vibiemme Super Domobar Electronic be direct‑plumbed to a water line, or is it tank‑only?

The machine is designed primarily as a reservoir (tank‑fed) unit. Some versions and third‑party kits allow conversion to direct‑plumb, but this depends on the specific model and your retailer. If direct plumbing is important, confirm compatibility and any required kits before purchase.

Does it have PID temperature control, and can I independently adjust brew and steam temperatures?

Yes. The Super Domobar Electronic is equipped with electronic PID temperature control. You can set and fine‑tune the brew boiler temperature and the steam boiler temperature independently, which is helpful for dialing in different roast levels and milk‑texturing preferences.

Are the steam and hot‑water wands cool‑touch or no‑burn, and how powerful is the steam for milk frothing?

The machine typically ships with insulated, cool‑touch (low‑temp) steam and hot‑water wands, designed to reduce burn risk and make cleaning easier. The dedicated steam boiler provides strong, dry steam suitable for fast microfoam in small and large milk pitchers.

What size portafilter does it use, and which baskets or accessories are included in the box?

The Vibiemme Super Domobar Electronic uses a commercial‑standard 58 mm portafilter. Machines usually include at least a double and single basket, a tamper, and a blind basket for backflushing. Exact accessories can vary by US distributor, so check the product listing for the final accessory list.

How large are the water reservoir and drip tray, and how often will I need to refill or empty them for home use?

The water reservoir is typically around 2–3 liters, and the drip tray is sized for regular home use. In a typical household pulling a few drinks per day, most users refill the tank every couple of days and empty the drip tray every 1–3 days, depending on how often you purge and backflush.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.

At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.

Which Machines Qualify

Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.

If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.

What's Included

  • Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
  • Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
  • Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
  • Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself

Installation must be completed within 30 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.

How Installation Is Arranged

Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:

Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.

Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.

We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

What's Not Included

The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:

  • Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is your responsibility
  • Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
  • Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
  • Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
  • False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.

Water Filtration Requirement

Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be your responsibility.

If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.

Service Area

Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If your location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain your responsibility.

Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.

After Installation

Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.

Governing Terms

This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.

Can I pick up the machine at your store?

We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.

However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
