and hundreds of cafés, restaurants and offices.

The Adonis is a volumetric espresso machine for high-volume commercial cafes that combines coffee tradition with modern design. Features HEES groupheads with SIS soft infusion, volumetric dosing with 4 programmable doses per head, built-in shot timers per group, electronic PID temperature control, cool-touch steam wands with push-pull lever operation, programmable hot water tap, and stainless steel Steelux construction. WCE qualified.

Product Features

SIS (Soft Infusion System)

SIS monitors pressure and gradually increases it through the extraction, producing soft, creamy espresso extractions. That controlled pressure ramp helps produce repeatable texture and mouthfeel across multiple groups during peak hours.

Volumetric Dosing Control

Volumetric dosing lets you program four dose volumes per head so baristas can lock consistent shot yields during busy service. Pre-set doses reduce eyeballing, speed pull times, and keep drink specifications steady across shifts.

Independent Group Cleaning

Automatic cleaning allows each group to be cleaned independently so washing and taking orders can happen at the same time. This reduces downtime, keeps groups ready for continuous service, and simplifies end-of-shift maintenance.

Built-In Shot Timer

A shot timer is integrated so each brewing head can be timed independently without an external device. Built-in timing helps standardize shots, aids training, and makes it easier to spot extraction drift during rushes.

Programmable Energy Saving

Energy-saving mode can be scheduled to turn the machine on and off at set times to match your service hours. Use scheduling to cut idle energy use while ensuring the boiler is ready when you need it.

Reverse Mirror View

The reverse mirror lets the barista watch the filter output without bending down, improving ergonomics and line speed. Quick visual checks of flow and channeling become practical during high-volume service.

Our honest read

The Coffeeionado Take

Straight answers, before you buy.

Who's It For

  • High-volume, multi-barista cafes — a 17-liter boiler and three groups are sized to keep up with continuous rush-hour demand.
  • Shops standardizing shot output — four programmable volumetric doses per group keep every barista pulling the same shot.
  • Operators who want commercial reliability — PID temperature control and a rotary pump are built for continuous daily use, not occasional service.

It's Right For You If

The Adonis 3 Group scales the same PID-controlled, volumetric platform up to three groups for high-volume cafes that need multiple baristas pulling shots at once. Its 17-liter boiler and programmable dosing are built to keep pace through a sustained rush.

Things to Consider

  • This is a direct-plumbed commercial installation. Coffeeionado pays for the installation; you provide the plumbed water and drain lines and a dedicated 220-240V circuit with a NEMA L6-30 receptacle rated for its 5000 W, 23A draw.
  • No programmable pressure profiling is included — if shot-to-shot pressure shaping is a priority, look to Victoria Arduino's flagship lines.
  • Running three groups at full output needs grinder capacity to match — pair it with high-volume grinders so prep keeps pace with 550-700 drinks a day.

Our Take

The Adonis 3 Group is a good fit for a cafe that's outgrown a smaller machine and needs real multi-barista capacity without jumping to Victoria Arduino's flagship pricing.

Paid Shipping

At Coffeeionado, we understand the frustration of hidden costs when making online purchases. This is why we're thrilled to announce that we now cover all shipping, freight, and handling charges for our premium coffee equipment within the continental USA.

Driven by Performance and Design

The Adonis is designed to be a centerpiece, with sleek curves and eye-catching aesthetics. It is built for high volume shops and features a 17 liter boiler, a PID for thermostability and Nuova Simonelli's innovative Soft Infusion System, which reduces the importance of proper tamping. The push/pull steam lever makes frothing fast and simple.

Get the Perfect Extraction

The Soft Infusion System, developed by the techs at Simonelli, is an innovative pre-infusion system that is adjustable, consistent and has no risk of user error. It is unique because it extracts centrifugally by injecting water at different angles into the coffee cake which eliminates channeling and maximizes espresso extraction by creating more contact time between the water and coffee.

At the Touch of a Button

The High Efficiency Extraction System works to bring out the best aroma in every blend and offers the same high quality shot with every pull. From the LCD you can control the temperature, bar pressure and volume in a few simple steps. The Adonis also features programmable shots, with each group featuring four programmable volume buttons (single and double, short and long) to speed up the bar process.

High Volume Café

This handcrafted Italian espresso machine by Victoria Arduino fits any high volume café or restaurant that needs three full groups of simultaneous brewing capacity.

The Brand: Victoria Arduino

Water Quality & Machine Protection

Proper water quality is essential for optimal espresso extraction and long-term machine health. Use the guidelines below to ensure your machine performs at its best.

Parameter Ideal Range Why It Matters
Total Hardness 50-170 ppm Prevents scale buildup while maintaining flavor
pH Level 6.5-7.5 Ensures balanced extraction and protects internal components
Chlorine 0 ppm Eliminates off-flavors and prevents corrosion
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) 70-150 ppm Optimal mineral content for extraction and taste
Total Alkalinity ~7.0 Stabilizes acidity and extraction
Chloride 0-28 ppm Prevents corrosion (especially in steel boilers)

Important Note

Always refer to your machine's manual for specific water quality recommendations and maintenance schedules.

Advisory

Install a water filtration system to maintain consistent water quality and extend the life of your espresso machine.

What This Means

  • Water that’s too hard → scale buildup, reduced performance
  • Water that’s too soft → flat, dull espresso
  • Improper water can damage internal components over time

Machine-Specific Considerations

  • Some machines (especially with stainless steel boilers) require stricter limits on chlorides

Product FAQ

What footprint and counter space does the Adonis 3 Group need?

The Adonis 3 Group measures 44 in W x 23 in D x 25 in H and weighs 216 lb (98 kg), so the counter must carry that weight. Leave room for portafilter handling and service access around the machine.

How many baristas is the Adonis 3 Group built to support?

Coffeeionado classes the Adonis 3 Group for 2-3 baristas in a High Volume bar. It has 3 group heads, 2 steam wands and a hot water tap, and it is sized for 90-120 drinks an hour at peak.

Does the Adonis 3 Group include pre-infusion?

Yes. Each group head uses the Soft Infusion System (SIS), an adjustable mechanical pre-infusion that wets the coffee puck at low pressure before full pressure is applied. SIS injects water at different angles, which reduces channeling and keeps shots consistent through a busy rush.

Are the steam wands cool-touch on the Adonis 3 Group?

Yes. The Adonis 3 Group has two cool-touch steam wands with a push/pull lever. The thermal insulation protects baristas from burns and lets you wipe milk off the wand quickly.

What warranty comes with the Adonis 3 Group?

It carries a 2-year parts and 1-year labor warranty (24 months parts, 12 months labor) from the purchase date, covering manufacturer's defects. For orders outside the USA the warranty covers parts only. Full terms are on the warranty page.

Is the Adonis 3 Group a heat exchanger or a multi-boiler machine?

It is a heat exchanger machine with a 17 L stainless steel boiler. A PID controller manages group temperature through a thermosiphon circuit, so you can pull shots and steam milk at the same time.

What are the electrical requirements?

The Adonis 3 Group needs a dedicated 220-240V single-phase circuit. It draws 5000 W at 23A and plugs into a NEMA L6-30 receptacle. It will not run from a household 120V outlet.

Is installation included?

Yes. Coffeeionado pays for your machine installation. You provide the site: a licensed electrician for the 220-240V circuit and a plumber for the water and drain lines.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.

At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.

Which Machines Qualify

Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.

If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.

What's Included

  • Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
  • Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
  • Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
  • Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself

Installation must be completed within 90 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.

How Installation Is Arranged

Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:

Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.

Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.

We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

What's Not Included

The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:

  • Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is the customer's responsibility
  • Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
  • Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
  • Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
  • False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.

Water Filtration Requirement

Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be the customer's responsibility.

If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.

Service Area

Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If the customer's location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain the customer's responsibility.

Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.

What to Expect on Install Day

Getting a commercial espresso machine delivered is one thing. Getting it actually running — plumbed, programmed, and pulling properly — is another. Here's what happens when the technician comes out.

Before the appointment: Site preparation will be confirmed before technicians make it out. Once your machine ships, we'll coordinate scheduling with you and assign a local certified technician. Before they arrive, make sure your space is ready: the machine's permanent location should be determined, your water line and drain access should be in place, and your electrical supply should match the machine's requirements.

On the day The technician will handle the physical installation of the machine — positioning, water line connection, and drain setup. Once it's plumbed and powered, they'll run through the setup and basic programming: boiler pressure, shot parameters, and confirming that water flows correctly through the group heads and steam wands. Some basic training will be provided, they'll pull test shots to verify the machine is operating within spec.

After Installation

Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.

Governing Terms

This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.

Can I pick up the machine at your store?

We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.

However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
