The Barista T Plus is for the owner who understands that consistency isn't an aspiration, but a baseline requirement for staying in business. Having an Independent AISI 316 Steam Boiler means providing dry, repeatable pressure for every milk order, even when all three groups are running at capacity. It signals to your team and your regulars that you've moved past the era of temperature surfing and guessing at thermal stability. This is the hardware you install when you are ready to stop managing equipment and start managing a café.
Product Features
Multi-Group On/Off Control
Multi-Group technology (on-off by group) uses professional thermodynamic groups so you can turn individual groups off when demand is low and keep others at ready during rushes. This flexibility helps manage energy use and reduces wear while matching service volume.
An independent steam boiler constructed from AISI 316 stainless steel provides a large-capacity reservoir (listed at 8.5 L in specs) for sustained steam production during continuous milk service. The stainless construction improves longevity and resistance to corrosion in a busy café environment.
External PID & Programmability
External PID control for each group and the steam boiler gives operators precise, repeatable temperature control, and the machine offers programmability features like pre-infusion, shot time, group temp., adjustable power, shot timer and shot counter. That level of control keeps extraction consistent across shifts and operators.
Thermal Lagging & Dynamic Heating
Thermal lagging on the steam boiler and groups, paired with dynamic heating for the coffee groups, preserves temperature stability between shots and reduces thermal shock under load. The result is steadier extraction during back-to-back service.
High-Performance Volumetric Pump
A high-performance volumetric pump maintains consistent pressure after prolonged and simultaneous use, preventing pressure-related shot variability during peak periods. For multi-group cafés this ensures reliable extraction even when multiple baristas are pulling shots at once.
The Coffeeionado Take
Who's It For:
Energy-conscious cafés and coffee programs — T Technology thermal control with multi-group on/off capability lets you power down unused groups to save energy
High-volume operations running three groups simultaneously — 8.5L boiler capacity and spreader group design support sustained peak service across all three stations
Operators who want external PID control — External PID and programmability give you temperature precision without the complexity of full multi-boiler systems
Right For You If:
Your daily shot count is 200–500 and you want the ability to power individual groups on and off to match your service flow and save energy.
Fast warm-up matters to your operation — you cannot afford to leave a machine running overnight or wait 45 minutes for morning startup.
You have direct plumbing and 220V power (NEMA 5-15) — note this is a lower-amperage draw than many 3-group machines, which may simplify installation.
Things to Consider:
The spreader group design is Ascaso's proprietary architecture — parts and service familiarity may vary, so confirm local support before committing.
Stainless steel-lined aluminum boiler construction is lighter than copper but has different thermal characteristics — some baristas notice slightly different heat recovery behavior compared to copper.
At 200–500 shots daily this covers most independent café volumes, but the 8.5L boiler may show recovery limits during sustained all-three-groups peak service compared to larger HX machines.
Our Take:
The Barista T Plus is Ascaso's answer to the energy waste problem in commercial espresso — T Technology lets you run only the groups you need, so you're not heating capacity you don't use during slower periods. If energy costs are a real priority for your operation, this machine offers a genuinely different approach to commercial espresso.

Automatic espresso machines have revolutionized the way baristas operate in coffee shops, allowing them to focus on other tasks while still producing high-quality espressos. With programmable doses, baristas can set specific measurements for each shot of espresso, ensuring consistency and efficiency in the brewing process. This feature not only helps save time but also maintains the quality and flavor of the final product. Meanwhile, they can also focus on other tasks such as taking money, steaming milk, or other work tasks.
Shot Timer Built In
The presence of a shot timer on your espresso machine provides numerous benefits, particularly for individuals who enjoy making coffee at home. Consistency and precision are key factors in the extraction of espresso shots. By maintaining consistent timing with the help of a shot timer, you can ensure that each shot is extracted for the same duration, leading to a well-balanced and flavorful cup of coffee.
PID Temperature Control
PID, an abbreviation for Proportional-Integral-Derivative, is a feedback loop controller utilized in espresso machines to regulate and maintain the water temperature within the boiler. The system offers a precision of 0.5ºC which considerably reduces any heat fluctuations within the coffee group.
With PID controller espresso machines, you ensure that the water temperature remains constant and ideal for producing high-quality espresso.
Professional Thermodynamic Group Heads
An upgrade from the traditional E 61 group head, the new thermodynamic groups from Ascaso feature increased thermostability. With a large thermal mass (lead-free brass), heated with a separate professional-grade thermoblock (modern thermodynamic technology) in each group, with a temperature sensor that can be easily adjusted by the barista. With the thermodynamic system, there is clean water in each coffee at a constant temperature. With much more efficient and sustainable technology.
Stainless Steel Boilers
Stainless steel boilers in espresso machines offer exceptional durability and corrosion resistance. They are designed to withstand daily use without losing efficiency, even in high humidity or water-exposed environments. Despite having lower thermal conductivity than copper, stainless steel boilers require less material for construction. Additionally, they are compatible with descaling chemicals, making maintenance hassle-free for optimal performance.
Insulated Boiler and Pipes
Insulation is crucial for boilers to maintain heat effectively. Espresso machines are equipped with thermostats, pressure stats, and PIDs to constantly monitor and regulate the temperature of the boiler. If the temperature falls below a specific level, a heating element is activated to restore it. Boilers that are well-insulated release less heat, resulting in lower energy consumption for maintaining their temperature.
In addition to thermally insulating the coffee groups and the steam boiler, they also cover all the pipes to prevent heat loss and maintain thermal stability throughout the assembly.
Dual Manometers
You'll find dual manometers on espresso machines for monitoring brew and steam pressure. The brew pressure gauge checks the resistance from the coffee grounds in the filter basket when the pump is running to ensure optimal extraction. Meanwhile, the steam pressure gauge on heat exchange or dual boiler machines shows the boiler's steam pressure for safety, usually rated at 2.0 bar for structural integrity.
Ergonomic Portafilter
The filter holder plays a crucial role in the operation of the espresso machine, being frequently utilized. Its design must prioritize ease for the barista. Crafted to fit comfortably in the hand, providing a reassuring feeling of sturdiness and security during use. With a 10-degree tilt that enhances usability by allowing for a more natural hand position. When not in use, the filter holder rests horizontally to ensure optimal tamping of the coffee grounds.
Automatic Dosing
With volumetric dosing you are able to program (4) doses and have your brews ready at the press of a button. This allows your baristas to multi-task and helps with baristas that aren't trained up as well. Keep your extractions precise and consist with the ease of a button.
Volumetric Controls
Volumetric espresso machines with automated features offer a great solution for coffee shops and home users alike. From easy-to-use programmable features to increased consistency in every cup of espresso, these machines make brewing the perfect cup easier than ever before. When using espresso machines with volumetric pumps, you benefit from their precision. These pumps guarantee accurate water-to-coffee ratios, a key factor in making great espresso.
ECO Technology
Ascaso machines deliver a 50% average energy savings compared with a traditional machine and 25% compared with other multi-boiler machines. They designed the espresso machine to avoid the use of standing, constantly reheated water to make the coffee. Therefore, the water for each coffee comes directly from the mains supply, taking fresh, filtered water to the group.
T Technology Inside - Thermostability
Ascaso built the Baby T Plus with innovative technology that lets you control the temperature of each group and boiler independently. Technology T is a state-of-the-art multi-group technology developed entirely by Ascaso. It offers great thermal stability with a high level of energy efficiency (low energy consumption) and clean and fresh water in each coffee.

Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself
Installation must be completed within 30 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.
How Installation Is Arranged
Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:
Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.
Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.
We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.
What's Not Included
The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:
Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is your responsibility
Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.
Water Filtration Requirement
Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be your responsibility.
If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.
Service Area
Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If your location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain your responsibility.
Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.
After Installation
Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.
Governing Terms
This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.
Can I pick up the machine at your store?
We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.
However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
