Powering Hundreds of Businesses Including:

The Adonis is a volumetric espresso machine for high-volume commercial cafes that combines coffee tradition with modern design. Features HEES groupheads with SIS soft infusion, volumetric dosing with 4 programmable doses per head, built-in shot timers per group, electronic PID temperature control, cool-touch steam wands with push-pull lever operation, programmable hot water tap, and stainless steel Steelux construction. WCE qualified.

Product Features

SIS (Soft Infusion System)

SIS monitors pressure and gradually increases it through the extraction, producing soft, creamy espresso extractions. That controlled pressure ramp helps produce repeatable texture and mouthfeel across multiple groups during peak hours.

Volumetric Dosing Control

Volumetric dosing lets you program four dose volumes per head so baristas can lock consistent shot yields during busy service. Pre-set doses reduce eyeballing, speed pull times, and keep drink specifications steady across shifts.

Independent Group Cleaning

Automatic cleaning allows each group to be cleaned independently so washing and taking orders can happen at the same time. This reduces downtime, keeps groups ready for continuous service, and simplifies end-of-shift maintenance.

Built-In Shot Timer

A shot timer is integrated so each brewing head can be timed independently without an external device. Built-in timing helps standardize shots, aids training, and makes it easier to spot extraction drift during rushes.

Programmable Energy Saving

Energy-saving mode can be scheduled to turn the machine on and off at set times to match your service hours. Use scheduling to cut idle energy use while ensuring the boiler is ready when you need it.

Reverse Mirror View

The reverse mirror lets the barista watch the filter output without bending down, improving ergonomics and line speed. Quick visual checks of flow and channeling become practical during high-volume service.

The Coffeeionado Take

Who's It For:

  • Established cafés and coffee bars — 3-group configuration with HEES group heads and SIS soft infusion delivers consistent extraction at 3-group commercial throughput
  • Hospitality programs needing reliable Italian engineering — Victoria Arduino's build quality and 17L boiler capacity handle years of daily commercial service
  • Operators who want programmable simplicity — Volumetric dosing with energy-saving features keeps operating costs manageable without sacrificing peak-hour performance

Right For You If:

  • Your daily shot count is 250–600 and you need three groups running simultaneously with volumetric consistency.
  • You want SIS soft infusion — a gentler pre-infusion that improves extraction quality without requiring manual pressure profiling from your baristas.
  • You have direct plumbing and 220V power (NEMA L6-30), plus the counter space for a full 3-group commercial footprint.

Things to Consider:

  • Heat exchanger architecture shares one boiler across all three groups — reliable for medium and dark roasts, but less precise than multi-boiler systems for temperature-sensitive light roasts.
  • The HEES group head is Victoria Arduino proprietary — parts availability and service familiarity may vary by region, so confirm local support before purchasing.
  • The LCD display provides useful feedback but lacks the real-time shot data of more advanced touchscreen or app-connected systems in the VA lineup.

Our Take:

The Adonis is Victoria Arduino's reliable 3-group platform — HEES group heads and SIS soft infusion give you real extraction quality benefits without jumping to the complexity (and cost) of multi-boiler systems. If your café runs 300–600 shots daily and you want Italian commercial quality with sensible operating costs, the Adonis is a machine that earns its place on the bar.

Water Quality & Machine Protection

Proper water quality is essential for optimal espresso extraction and long-term machine health. Use the guidelines below to ensure your machine performs at its best.

Parameter Ideal Range Why It Matters
Total Hardness 50-170 ppm Prevents scale buildup while maintaining flavor
pH Level 6.5-7.5 Ensures balanced extraction and protects internal components
Chlorine 0 ppm Eliminates off-flavors and prevents corrosion
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) 70-150 ppm Optimal mineral content for extraction and taste
Total Alkalinity ~7.0 Stabilizes acidity and extraction
Chloride 0-28 ppm Prevents corrosion (especially in steel boilers)

Important Note

Always refer to your machine's manual for specific water quality recommendations and maintenance schedules.

Advisory

Install a water filtration system to maintain consistent water quality and extend the life of your espresso machine.

What This Means

  • Water that’s too hard → scale buildup, reduced performance
  • Water that’s too soft → flat, dull espresso
  • Improper water can damage internal components over time

Machine-Specific Considerations

  • Some machines (especially with stainless steel boilers) require stricter limits on chlorides

Product FAQ

Does the Victoria Arduino Adonis 3 Group use a rotary pump and is it suitable for commercial volume?

Yes. The Victoria Arduino Adonis 3 Group is equipped with a commercial-grade rotary pump designed for continuous, high‑volume use in cafés, restaurants, and specialty coffee bars.

Is the Adonis 3 Group a direct-plumbed machine, or can it run from a water tank?

The Adonis 3 Group is designed as a direct-plumbed (hard‑plumbed) commercial espresso machine. It must be connected to a pressurized water line and is not intended to run from an internal water tank.

Does the Victoria Arduino Adonis 3 Group offer programmable pre-infusion?

Yes. The Adonis 3 Group provides programmable pre‑infusion on each group head, allowing you to fine‑tune extraction for different coffees and shot profiles.

Are the steam wands cool-touch or no-burn on the Adonis 3 Group?

Yes. The Adonis 3 Group comes with cool‑touch (no‑burn) steam wands designed to stay significantly cooler to the touch and reduce milk buildup, making cleaning easier and improving safety for baristas.

Is the boiler capacity large enough to handle busy rush periods in a café?

Yes. The 3‑group Adonis has a large dedicated steam boiler and individual coffee boilers (or heat‑exchange system, depending on configuration) sized for heavy commercial use, providing stable temperature and ample steam for peak rush periods.

Does each group head have its own temperature control, and is it a multi-boiler system?

The Adonis 3 Group is available in configurations with independent coffee boilers for each group head, allowing separate temperature control. This lets you set different brew temperatures for different coffees while maintaining consistent steam performance from the main steam boiler.

Are shot volumes programmable on the Adonis 3 Group, or is it manual only?

Shot volumes are fully programmable. Each group head has multiple programmable dose buttons (such as single, double, and manual continuous), so you can set consistent shot volumes and still have a manual option when needed.

What kind of power and electrical requirements does the Adonis 3 Group have for installation in the US?

US‑spec Victoria Arduino Adonis 3 Group machines typically require a dedicated 220–240V, 60 Hz circuit with sufficient amperage for a commercial espresso machine (exact amperage can vary by configuration; many models are in the 30–40A range). A licensed electrician should confirm and install the correct outlet and breaker based on the specific model’s data plate.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.

At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.

Which Machines Qualify

Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.

If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.

What's Included

  • Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
  • Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
  • Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
  • Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself

Installation must be completed within 30 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.

How Installation Is Arranged

Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:

Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.

Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.

We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

What's Not Included

The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:

  • Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is your responsibility
  • Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
  • Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
  • Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
  • False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.

Water Filtration Requirement

Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be your responsibility.

If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.

Service Area

Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If your location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain your responsibility.

Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.

After Installation

Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.

Governing Terms

This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.

Can I pick up the machine at your store?

We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.

However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
