Powering Hundreds of Businesses Including:

A busy retail environment reveals exactly where your workflow is brittle, and it's usually at the grinding station. Choosing this bulk model design is an acknowledgment that you need consistent throughput more than you need a decorative centerpiece. The wide grind range handles everything from coarse cold brew to fine retail bags without complaining, allowing your staff to focus on the queue instead of the equipment. It is the tool you buy when you want your equipment to pay for itself by simply staying out of the way.

Product Features

High Throughput

Grinds over 1.1 lbs (500 g) per minute to keep pace with busy café service, retail bagging or roastery batching. That output reduces bottlenecks during peak periods.

84 mm Flat Burrs

84 mm flat steel burrs provide a wide grind range from Turkish fine to cold brew, so one grinder covers espresso through batch-brew profiles. The large flat burrs support consistent particle distribution for commercial workloads.

Low Heat Transfer

Engineered to reduce heat transfer to the coffee grounds, helping maintain uniform particle size during long runs. Lower heat buildup means steadier extraction profiles across continuous grinding.

Modular Service Design

Pinecone uses easily replaceable pre-assembled grinding and electrical modules so you can swap units instead of waiting for lengthy repairs. Send in a module to your service partner and receive a new or refurbished replacement the following day to minimize downtime.

Quick‑Clean Upper Assembly

The upper assembly quickly removes for easy cleaning and burr access, simplifying daily maintenance and sanitation. Faster disassembly keeps service time between shifts to a minimum.

Large Hopper & Holders

A 1.75 kg (3.9 lb) hopper reduces refill frequency for bulk grinding, and the included bag holder and filter holder enable direct dosing into bags or filters. Practical extras for roasters and high-volume retail operations.

The Coffeeionado Take

Who's It For:

  • Specialty Coffee Shops — Cafés running a single-dose workflow that demand zero retention and fast dial-in across multiple single origins. The 84mm flat stainless steel burrs deliver the consistency that high-end espresso service requires
  • Continuous-Service Operations — The 1750g hopper capacity means fewer refills during peak hours, keeping baristas focused on drinks rather than bean management

It's Right For You If:

  • You run continuous, hopper-fed grinding rather than per-dose single-origin switching — the 84mm flat stainless steel burrs hold consistent output at 8.5 g/sec through sustained service.
  • The 1750g hopper keeps you grinding through peak hours without constant refilling — practical for continuous-service environments.

Things to Consider:

  • At 25.0kg, this is a permanent counter fixture — not something you'll move for cleaning. Plan your bar layout accordingly.
  • No programmable dosing presets — you'll be manually timing or weighing each dose. Some baristas prefer this control; others find it adds a step to the workflow.
  • Manufactured in China, which keeps the price competitive but may affect parts availability and long-term serviceability compared to Italian or German-made alternatives.

Our Take:

The Pinecone Swiss GH-B Coffee Grinder is built for continuous batch-style throughput rather than single-dose precision — at 8.5 g/sec with a large hopper, it keeps up through sustained service without needing a refill every few drinks.

Low Heat Grinding

GH-B grinder features a design where the motor and grinding module are decoupled, connected via a coupling and central shaft, which reduces heat transfer from the motor to the grinding chamber. This design helps keep the grinder cooler during long runs; the motor temperature reaches only about 70 to 75 degrees Celsius (158-167 F) even after 8 hours of continuous operation, ensuring that the grinding components remain cooler overall.

Consistent Grinding for High-Volume Use

Designed for the demands of busy cafés, the GH-B delivers rapid, uniform grinding with minimal retention. Its 84 mm flat burrs ensure consistent particle size—ideal for batch brewing or espresso prep during peak hours—so your team can keep up without compromising quality.

Intuitive Controls and Easy Maintenance

With simple, clearly labeled controls and a thoughtful layout, the GH-B is built for speed and ease of use. Daily operation requires minimal training, and routine maintenance—like burr access and cleaning—is straightforward, reducing downtime and keeping service smooth.

Product FAQ

What type and size of burrs does the Pinecone Swiss GH-B Coffee Grinder use?

The Pinecone Swiss GH-B Coffee Grinder is equipped with commercial-grade flat burrs designed specifically for espresso-focused grinding. The burrs are engineered for consistent particle size, excellent flavor clarity, and low retention, making them suitable for both home enthusiasts and small professional setups.

How long do the burrs typically last, and how will I know when they need to be replaced?

Burr life depends on use and bean hardness, but under typical home espresso use, the burrs can last several years (often well over 1,000–1,500 lbs of coffee). Signs that it’s time to replace them include slower grinding speed, higher noise, more fines or clumping, and a noticeable drop in cup clarity or consistency at the same grind setting.

Is the Pinecone Swiss GH-B a stepless grinder, and how precise is the grind adjustment?

Yes, the GH-B is a stepless grinder. This means you can make very small, continuous adjustments rather than being limited to preset steps. Stepless adjustment allows you to fine-tune your espresso shots with high precision, dialing in shot time and extraction more easily.

Can this grinder be used for both espresso and filter coffee?

The GH-B is optimized for espresso and fine grinding, but it can also be adjusted to coarser settings for methods like AeroPress and some pour-over brews. If you routinely switch between espresso and filter, be aware that returning to an exact espresso setting may require marking your dial position or making small test adjustments.

What brewing environments is the Pinecone Swiss GH-B best suited for?

The GH-B is ideal for serious home baristas, prosumer setups, and small-volume commercial environments such as low-traffic coffee bars, offices, or catering stations. It’s built for consistent, repeatable espresso grinding and can comfortably handle multiple drinks in a row without overheating.

How fast is the grinder, and can it keep up with back-to-back drinks?

The GH-B is designed for efficient grinding, typically producing a double shot dose in just a few seconds, depending on grind setting and bean type. It can comfortably handle several consecutive drinks, maintaining stable performance and grind consistency for typical home and light commercial use.

Does the Pinecone Swiss GH-B support hands-free operation and portafilter holding?

Yes, the grinder is designed for hands-free use with an integrated portafilter holder. You can place your portafilter in the fork and let the grinder dispense directly into the basket, freeing you to prepare other parts of your drink while grinding.

Is the grinder timed, manual, or grind-by-weight for dosing?

The GH-B supports both manual and timed dosing. You can either start and stop the grinder manually for full control or program a timed dose for more consistent output. It is not a grind-by-weight grinder, so it does not include an integrated scale for automatic weight-based dosing.

How does free installation work?

We want to make your purchase as smooth as possible and will pay the installation via rebate on commercial espresso machines. This includes commercial machines with more than 1 group head and 220V.

If the certified installer needed is over 1.5 hours away then we will pay for the installation call (and install up to the value suggested on page minus call fee). Travel will be paid by customer. Inquire if you have any questions about your location.

Please note, any discounts subject to void the paid installation offer.

At Coffeeionado, professional installation is included with qualifying espresso machine purchases. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible — from coordinating the technician to getting your machine up and running on day one.

Which Machines Qualify

Free professional installation is included with all espresso machines of 2 groups or more where indicated on the product listing. This policy applies to espresso machines only and does not cover other coffee equipment such as grinders, brewers, or accessories.

If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us before purchasing and we'll confirm.

What's Included

  • Travel and labor costs for installation within the technician's service area (up to 2 hours of travel)
  • Setup, basic programming, and commissioning of the equipment
  • Scheduling during regular business hours, Monday through Friday
  • Associated taxes and fees related to the installation itself

Installation must be completed within 30 days of delivery of the equipment. The installation benefit lapses after this window and cannot be reinstated.

How Installation Is Arranged

Depending on your purchase, installation is handled one of two ways:

Arranged directly — In many cases, Coffeeionado or the manufacturer will coordinate and pay the technician on your behalf. We will contact you after your order is processed to schedule the visit.

Reimbursement — In some cases, you may be asked to arrange the installation locally using an authorized technician and submit a rebate form for reimbursement. Once approved, the covered amount will be refunded to the original payment method used for your order.

We will confirm which arrangement applies to your purchase at the time of order confirmation. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

What's Not Included

The following are outside the scope of the installation policy and remain the customer's responsibility:

  • Travel or callout costs beyond the first 2 hours of the technician's travel time — if your location falls outside the local service area, the overage is your responsibility
  • Water filtration systems and installation materials — including plumbing fittings, tubing, plugs, outlets, and any other ancillary components required to prepare the site
  • Electrical or plumbing work — site preparation must be completed before the technician arrives
  • Training on equipment operation — installation covers commissioning only, not barista or operational training
  • False start or callout fees if the technician arrives and the site is not ready for installation

Important: If a technician arrives and cannot complete the installation because the site is unprepared, you will be responsible for any callout or false start fee charged by the technician. However, your installation benefit remains intact — the visit will be rescheduled at no additional cost to your policy.

Water Filtration Requirement

Water filtration must be installed and operational before or at the time of installation. This is not optional — operating a commercial espresso machine without proper filtration will void the manufacturer's warranty. If filtration is not in place at the time of the technician's visit, installation may need to be rescheduled and the callout fee will be your responsibility.

If you need guidance on water filtration requirements for your machine, contact us before scheduling your installation.

Service Area

Installation coverage is tied to the manufacturer's authorized technician service area, generally within a 1.5-hour radius of the nearest certified technician. If your location falls outside this area, Coffeeionado will make reasonable efforts to arrange a local authorized technician, but travel costs beyond the 2-hour coverage limit remain your responsibility.

Not sure if you're in a service area? Contact us before purchasing and we'll check your location.

After Installation

Once your machine is installed, we'll provide referrals for authorized service technicians in your area for ongoing maintenance and repairs. Coffeeionado offers lifetime support on all equipment we sell — we're here long after the install is done.

Governing Terms

This installation policy forms part of your agreement with Coffeeionado and is subject to our Terms of Sale and Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service governs.

Can I pick up the machine at your store?

We do not have a showroom or storefront for customer pickups, so orders cannot be picked up directly from us. That said, there is an exception for La Spaziale and La Pavoni products, you can contact us to arrange.

However, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have your machine shipped to a local freight terminal/location for pickup instead. Let us know your city/state (or ZIP code), and we’d be happy to check the nearest terminal options for you.
